Three bigger budget films with some classic tracks for me are Rocky IV (check out 'Hearts of Fire' by John Cafferty, 'No Easy Way Out' Robert Tepper), Top Gun ('Mighty Wings' by Cheap trick and 'Heaven In Your Eyes' by Loverboy) and Days of Thunder ('Deal For Life' by John Waite, one of my favourite tracks of all time and Chicago's incredible 'Hearts in Trouble'.

I have yet to find the perfect melodic rock soundtrack, but the closest to perfect goes to "Transformers: The Movie" soundtrack.
