CRAZY LIXX Serve Up Some 'Ruff Justice' April 21

Artist:

Frontiers Music Srl is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Crazy Lixx's new studio album, “Ruff Justice” on April 21, 2017.

The new record celebrates Crazy Lixx’s fifteenth anniversary as a band and offers ten hair / sleaze / 80's metal gems that harken back to the height of the hard rock era. The new songs draw inspiration from not only music, but also from 1980’s horror and action flicks and stand as a glowing reminder that pretty much everything was better in the 80’s. With its big choruses, memorable hooks and riffs, impressive guitar solos, and a massive production by Danny Rexon and Chris Laney, this album is sure to resonate with old fans and new listeners alike.

“We’ve tried the same ‘all killers-no fillers’ approach that we’ve gone for on our previous albums, but this time, more than ever, I think we’ve come close to that vision,“ says lead singer and producer Danny Rexon.

“Ruff Justice” will be the first Crazy Lixx album to feature the new lineup with Chrisse Olsson and Jens Lundgren handling axe duties.

“It does bring a certain feel to the album that I think we’ve been missing since the days of ‘New Religion’ (2010). Once again the whole band pulls in the same direction and the end result, I believe, will be very well received among those who hold ‘New Religion’ in high regards. If I would compare Ruff Justice to any of our previous albums, that would have to be the one,” Danny Rexon concludes.

The album also includes three songs which appear on the “Friday The 13th” videogame soundtrack: “XIII”, “Killer“ and “Live Before I Die”. Friday the 13th: The Game is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by Gun Media and IllFonic, and published by Gun Media. It is scheduled for release in early 2017 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox, and Playstation 4.

With "Ruff Justice", Crazy Lixx have raised their game tremendously! As always, their live shows in support of this album are going to take no prisoners! Don’t miss them while they’re on the road!

All any Crazy Lixx fan needs to know about this album is – does it sound any good?
Yes it does. Of course it does! Crazy Lixx kick ass!

And here on this career covering live album are 13 hard hitting tracks of glorious Scandi-melodic hard rock.
Does the live set cover everything? No, probably not. There’s always a song here or there some fan wished included, but for the most part the guys cover their bases.

The anthems Rock In A Hard Place, Lock Up Your Daughter, Sound Of The Loud Minority, Riot Avenue, Girls Of The 80s and the closing 21 Til I Die are all there and performed with great energy and enthusiasm.

It’s good stuff! Nuff said. If you’re a Crazy Lixx fan, you need this. Simple. A nice, raw, energetic live recording of a band that knows what they are doing!
Short review, but a simple one.

Crazy Lixx's First Live Album 'Sound Of The Live Minority' July 8

Artist:

Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the release of Crazy Lixx's first live album, 'Sound Of The LIVE Minority' on July 8th!

It is possible pre-order the album from Amazon.com here: http://radi.al/CrazyLixxAmazon

Coming out of the Swedish Hard Rock Scene - with influences from bands like Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, KISS, Whitesnake/David Coverdale, Alice Cooper, Def Leppard and Motley Crue - Crazy Lixx newest offering 'Sound Of The LIVE Minority' is the band's first live album, coming after four increasingly successful studio albums.

'It's a milestone for every rock band,' that's what lead singer Danny Rexon says. And a milestone it is, in more than one way. On the one hand, it is the perfect record to sum up four studio albums and more than a decade as a touring band in an hour plus documentation of energetic, live rock n' roll with the very best songs from their catalogue and most requested fan favorites. On the other hand, it also marks the end of the band's most successful line-up, with guitarist Andreas Z Eriksson (now with british Hard Rockers Inglorious) as the lead guitar slinger. This live performance was his last show with the band.

'We wanted to release this live album both to mark an end to the old Crazy Lixx, as well as a statement of a new beginning for the current line-up. On this show, Jens Lundgren had already taken over the guitar duties from our former guitarist Edd Liam so in a sense this gig represents both the old and the new,' says Danny.

The album was recorded at Bang Your Head Festival in Balingen, Germany in July 2015 and has been mixed by Chris Laney who has previously been entrusted to mix live albums for Europe, Talisman and CRASHDIET, among others.

Tracklisting:
1. Intro

Crazy Lixx nearly threw away all the good work they’d done with their first two albums with the release of #3, Riot Avenue. The rawer, more restrained direction was a big step backwards after the glorious New Religion and the impressive debut Loud Minority.
Opting for a self-titled moniker, album number 4 thankfully sees the band recapture everything that fans loved about the first two records.

This is the logical follow-up to New Religion, we can just forget about Riot Avenue now!
Changing the lineup slightly sees new bassist Jens Sjöholm join and the return of original drummer Joél Cirera.
The energy, the pomp, the big guitars, the screaming vocals and the anthemic songs are all back.

Kicking off with the pounding of Hell Raising Women; through the blazing Sound Of The Loud Minority and the passionate pleas of Outlaw; to the commercial hit Girls Of The 80s; Crazy Lixx are back!
The feel good pomp rocker I Missed The Mark has a huge chorus while Call To Action is about as catchy as the band has been able to deliver to date.
Heroes Are Forgiven isn’t far behind and the album finishes on a high with one of the groups fastest rockers yet in Wrecking Ball Crew.

Welcome back to the real Crazy Lixx. No hesitation in recommending this to any fan of the first two records and those that love that big, loud, old-school approach with contemporary production to make it slick and modern.

Crazy Lixx / Mixed: Chris Laney

Release Date:
November 7
Released:
Worldwide
Genre:
Hard Rock

Every rock band needs a self titled album – The kind of album that really does the band’s name justice –The kind of album that shows both old and new fans what the band and their music is really all about – The kind of album that is the essence of the band and their sound and the kind of album that is the total sum of years of experience from playing, recording, writing songs and touring. This is that album for Sweden’s Crazy Lixx.

“We were discussing possible titles for the album and we didn’t really feel like any of the suggestions were quite right. Then I came up with the idea of a making it a self titled album and we all agreed this was the right time for one. You know, bearing the very name of the band, a self-titled album does have a lot to live up to, but we all felt that this album has what it takes to represent the band as a whole, both in terms of the songs, the sound and the performance.” - says lead singer and producer Danny Rexon.
With their fourth release, Crazy Lixx have grown as a band and perfected their personal sound into 11 anthemic rock songs that will satisfy both the hard core Lixx fans as well as fans of melodic hard rock and hair metal in general. By combining the strategies of recording and producing the album themselves along with utilizing the mixing qualities of the great Chris Laney, the sound of the album has once again returned to the bombastic sound of Crazy Lixx’ earlier work while at the same time adding the improved song-writing and playing qualities of today’s Crazy Lixx.

“We’ve learned a lot through the years, especially when it comes to the recording process and we’ve put all that knowledge and experience to use on this album. We used many different studio settings to record different parts of the album and didn’t rush the recording but made sure everything was as good as it could get. At the same time we didn’t want to be too nitpicking with details, I mean we’re still in the business of rock n’ roll, right?”– adds guitarist and co-producer of the album Andy Zata (formerly Dawson)

In addition to returning to the old Crazy Lixx sound the band has also re-recorded fan favorite “Heroes are Forever” which was originally on the band’s first, now out of print album.  “It’s this one song, that was our first single back in around 2006, that we’ve played on almost every live show we’ve done since then, but when we started to think about it, it was a song that a lot of our fans had no chance of ever listening to. The first album, ‘Loud Minority’, which was released on a minor independent label, was only released in a limited printing which has long since sold out, and it isn’t available digitally either. Still we felt that the track was one of those songs that had a really fundamental Crazy Lixx vibe to it, so we decided to record it again and give the fans a nice treat. If you ask me, it came out way better this second time around.” – says drummer Joél Cirera

With the addition of bassist Jens Sjöholm and the return of original drummer Joél Cirera, Crazy Lixx Mk III has been proven to be the best constellation to date, both in concert and on a recording.“I think the fans will really enjoy what we’ve got in store for them with this album. Killer songs, great sound and memorable hooks combined with a bit of the twin guitar action and riff-based approach that we added to the sound on our last album.” – says guitarist Edd Liam.

Newest and youngest member, bassist Jens Sjöholm adds: “Being my first album release with Crazy Lixx I don’t really have any special expectations, but hearing the final result and seeing how fired up the guys are about it makes me look forward to seeing the reactions of the fans and media.”
It’s really a bit of a do or die, no guts, no glory situation – after all, you only get one chance to do a self titled album, so make sure you do it good.” – concludes Danny Rexon

CRAZY LIXX:

DANNY REXON Vocals
JOÈL CIRERA Drums
ANDY ZATA Guitar & B.Vocals

EDD LIAM Guitar & B.Vocals

Guests:

CRAZY LIXX Return with Self-titled Fourth Album in November on Frontiers

Artist:

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the hotly anticipated fourth studio album from CRAZY LIXX. The self-titled album will be released on November 7th in Europe and November 11th in North America.

Just like every Rock band does at some point in their career, CRAZY LIXX thought it was the right time to release their Self-Titled album: the kind of album that really does the band’s name justice and that shows everyone what the band and their music is really all about. This is that album for Sweden’s CRAZY LIXX!

Says lead singer and producer Danny Rexon“We were discussing possible titles for the album and we didn’t really feel like any of the suggestions were quite right. With their new album, CRAZY LIXX show their growth as a band by sinking their teeth into 11 anthemic rock songs that will satisfy both the hardcore Lixx fans, as well as all fans of melodic hard rock and hair metal in general. By combining the strategies of recording and producing the album themselves along with utilizing the mixing skills of the great Chris Laney, the band has once again returned to the bombastic sound of CRAZY LIXX’s earlier work while at the same time adding the improved song-writing and musicianship of today’s CRAZY LIXX.
