CORNERSTONE European Tour Dates

As already announced, 2019 will bring many, many concerts for Cornerstone. The first half of the year the band will mainly perform in Austria - including a few appearances in Germany as well. During summer, the UK is on the touring-agenda again, the 10th time meanwhile! Continuing the good news, Cornerstone will do shows in France and Scotland this time - great news so far! CORNERSTONE 10th United Kingdom-Tour & Cambridge Rock Festival

As already implied, CORNERSTONE is going to tour the United Kingdom again - for the tenth time meanwhile! The highlight will be be for sure the CAMBRIDGE ROCK FESTIVAL, one of the traditional English Open Airs, where acts like THE ANIMALS, STARSHIP or BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST appeared over the years. Cornerstone already performed there in 2013 and is really looking forward to come back in summer! CORNERSTONE Goes Cinema

Artist:

Like many other music artists before, Cornerstone get the opportunity to act in a movie: Bassplayer/Keyboarder Michael Wachelhofer will play a (little) role as a department manager in the British drama LITTLE JOE, which will hit the European cinemas next year. The english actor BEN WHISHAW, famous for his starring in PERFUME (Patrick Suesskind) and for his role as Q in the last two JAMES BOND movies, will be the star in this drama. Beside that Cornerstone is already planning the next year's music schedule. There will also be a bigger tour, more details to be announced!

CORNERSTONE news: After a phenomenal appearance at the BRIEFLOS-SHOW with Peter Rapp and the (rather unintentional) short feature at Stermann & Grissemann's WILLKOMMEN OESTERREICH the band had its third performance at nationwide TV ORF in just one month.On Friday, 06/08 at around 6:30 am (CET+1) Cornerstone were guests at GUTEN MORGEN OESTERREICH! The show was sent from Zwettl in Lower Austria! Beside of this, the band has a few concerts to do till the end of the year, 43 gigs in three countries so far (United Kingdom, Germany, Austria), more dates added soon!

CORNERSTONE Redo Video From 'Reflections'

Cornerstone released a new video: one of the titles of their latest album REFLECTIONS, "Nothing To Lose", has been visually upgraded. Actually, the video was taken for an Austrian TV-show called "Mulatschag", but the feedback was so good, that the band decided to use it for Promotion-purposes. While there are still single concerts on the schedule till the end of this year, the planning for the tour through Europe in 2018 has already started. Some dates are already fixed. CORNERSTONE RELEASE NEW SINGLE + VIDEO

After a three-months rest, Cornerstone are back with their second single from the longplayer "Reflections": the song "Northern Light" was released on 03/31 and was mixed and mastered, like the whole album, by Harry Hess (SIMPLE PLAN, MUSE, BILLY TALENT) in Canada. The video for the song, which has been shooted the same time like the first single "Last Night", was produced by the well-proven filmteam THE COCKPIT and director Christian Enzmueller. "Northern Light" is already available as download on iTunes and in all other online-shops.

CORNERSTONE New Video For The Single 'Last Night'

After a three-month production period, the band released their first video of the new album "Reflections" on Sunday, 10/30 - the clip for "Last Night" is now available on various online platforms.

The production by the way was done by THE COCKPIT (Directior: Christian Enzlmueller) once again - they have already worked with the band in the past a few times. At the moment it seems like the song is on the way to the official sales charts, so if you want to support Cornerstone, you may download "Last Night" on itunes, amazon and Google Play.

CORNERSTONE Complete Work on Abum 'Reflections' with Producer Harry Hess

Now the time has come: the new CORNERSTONE album 'Reflections', which was produced in collaboration with Harry Hess (SIMPLE PLAN, BILLY TALENT, MUSE, ...) in Canada, has been finished.

The new songs were first shown to the public on Friday 05/20/2016 in the Viper Room in Vienna, and the feedback was more than great: many long-time fans say that 'Reflections' is by far the best album of the band. The official release in trade and the media will take place in fall, because Cornerstone is engaged in negotiations with a major record label at the moment. NEW ALBUM WITH STAR PRODUCER ON BOARD!

During the last weeks, it's been a bit quiet around Cornerstone , here are some amazing news: the band is busy at the moment with the recordings for their new album, and HARRY HESS, a Canadian producer, is also involved in this project. Hess, himself singer of Harem Scarem, is mainly known as a producer through its collaboration with BILLY TALENT, SIMPLE PLAN, MUSE, etc.. So, more than one reason to be curious about the new album (working title: "Reflections"). Its release is scheduled for 05/20/2016 - incidentally in 2011, "Somewhere in America" was published on the same date, hopefully a good sign. Also in planning is a European tour, first dates in the UK and Germany are already confirmed and will be announced soon.

CORNERSTONE AT THE EUROVISIONS-SONG CONTEST

Altough the Eurovision-Songcontest, that will happen in Stockholm/ Sweden this year, has lost a bit of its glory over the last years, the band is proud to present, that the Austrian Broadcasting Service (ORF) has choosen the powerballad "Whatever", which is a precusor for the new album, too, is pre-nominated for the Wildcard for the Austrian contribution. It will be decided within the next few days, which artists are nominated, but: in case you want to support Cornerstone, you can leave a like or a comment at the Austrian Songcontest-page on Facebook - the selection process will take a few more days.

CORNERSTONE ON TOUR WITH GARY HOWARD (FLYING PICKETS, ALAN PARSONS)

As part of their European tour, the band will attend several concerts in Austria with former world star Gary Howard! In addition to the top-hit "Only You" (# 1 in several countries with the British a cappella group THE FLYING PICKETS) and some tunes from legendary ALAN PARSONS PROJECT, which Howard was a part of, Cornerstone will present their own material and afterwards will accompany Howard as backup players through his greatest successes. The first performance will take place on 6/19 in BRUNO in Brunn am Gebirge. Special guest at this event is Austria's speediest cartoonist, Reini "Buhaha" Buchacher. CORNERSTONE Announce European Tour And New Line-Up

There have been some rumours going 'round during the last weeks, but now it's official: in the beginning of 2015 Cornerstone decided to end their work with Patricia Hillinger after six years, and replace her with singer/ guitarplayer ALINA PETER. "Patricia has been full-heartedly involved in the band during the last years, and I have to say that we would not be where we are now without her," says bassist Michael. "But ultimately she made some decisions with which she disqualified herself morally. Everything else is a band issue and we would ask everyone explicitly to respect that."

Run-up discussions were held with the former Austrian Song Contest-starter NADINE BEILER (#18/2011) and SUSANNE GSCHWENDTNER, who was mainactor in the US series "The Quest" (ABC TV), but in the end the band chose Alina Peter because she is someone who "is not only great musically and personally, but is also able to set her mainfocus on Cornerstone, which would have been difficult with Nadine and Susanne due to their various other commitments," adds Wachelhofer. The fourpiece has already completed two concerts with Alina to test the waters, and so far everything is positive. New on board is also drummer CHRISTOPH KARRAS, who is "full of enthusiasm and joy" about the upcoming tour, that will guide Cornerstone through UK, Germany and Austria.
