Frontiers Music Srl celebrates Royal Hunt’s 25th Anniversary with the release of a brand new live 2CD/DVD, Blu-Ray, and MP3 set entitled “2016” on May 12.

Following a tradition established after two successful anniversary long form video releases - “1996” and “2006” - it is time for a third one: “2016”. Recorded with 9 HD cameras and top-notch audio equipment in Moscow's “Izvestiya Hall” during last year's world tour, the video shows “all-fab-things-Royal”: a high energy show in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd, an excellent set list, the band in top form, and a stunning stage production. Add a stellar audio recording and this package, celebrating Royal Hunt´s 25th Anniversary, is any hard rock fan's delight.

In keyboardist André Andersen’s own words: “25 years later Royal Hunt's still going strong-who ccould have imagined that? Not me, that's for sure-a quarter of a cenntury?! Absolutely unreal. 13 studio albums, lots of special EPs and compilations, 5 live albums, literally countless shows/tours, and now the 4th DVD release. Lots of ups and downs along the way, yet we're still around, still able to do what we love doing the most - making music. I always feelt that if you do it from your heart, if you stay true to yourself and work hard you´ll be granted this sort of staying power-and yes, wee´re all extremely grateful to our fans for giving us an opportunity to create, to improve and to continue our musical journey. So, once again, push that “play” button, enjoy this video and rest assured, the best is yet to come!”

The powerhouse that is Royal Hunt continues on with this “in between albums” live release, a double album recorded during the band’s 2015 festival appearances.
The set takes in 90 minutes of full power Royal Hunt – a complete rendition of their signature concept album Paradox to kick off Disc 1. On Disc 2 there are just 5 songs, but thankfully the best track from the band's recent era - A Life To Die For - proves to be a fitting climax.

Just 12 songs for the 90 minutes of high intensity progressive (melodic) metal. You know the band – you know the songs. The only issue with a release such as this – is it any good? Yes indeed.

The recordings are clear, sharp and very well mixed. The performances are what you’d expect of the pros that André Andersen, DC Cooper, Andreas Passmark, Jonas Larsen and Andreas Johansson are.

One for fans of The Hunt and especially the Paradox album and a great performance from DC Cooper and the rest of the band.

Out on Frontiers Music Srl in March!

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of ROYAL HUNT new live album entitled “Cargo” on March 18, 2016.

Following the release of their latest studio album - “Devil's Dozen” – ROYAL HUNT participated in three widely known Festivals around the globe in the fall of 2015: ProgPower USA, Loud Park Japan and Rockingham UK. They performed their energetic brand of symphonic/progressive yet highly melodic and instantly accessible Royal Rock for thousands of appreciative fans.

While ROYAL HUNT´s next tour – sat to the spring of 2016 – is being announced (see dates below), the band found the time to gather in the studio and pick out the best performances recorded during their festival trek: an hour and a half of ROYAL HUNT´s trademark sonic assault, skillfully captured on tape.

Why live album and why now? "Well, mostly because we haven´t released any live recordings for – roughly – 10 years or so." says keyboard maestro and principal songwriter Andre Andersen, “2006” was great and many fans consider it to be our best (some will pick “1996” or “Closing the Chapter” as their favorite) but anyway – it´s been awhile, so we assumed that it might be interesting for you to check out our “new swing” at this live set. Just think about it: last time we recorded “Paradox” live was almost 20 years ago! Add a few new songs, the excitement of the festival performance, a couple of new faces to the line-up and – all of a sudden – things are sounding quite a bit different. We´d say it sounds fresh but let´s see what´s your opinion on this matter will be."

The album includes a complete rendition of their signature concept album “Paradox”. Royal Hunt released 13 studio albums and their name stands for quality Symphonic / Progressive Metal.

CD1 - The Mission, Half Past Loneliness, River Of Pain, Tearing Down The world, Message To G-D, Long Way Home

It must be symphonic rock month, as Denmark’s symph-rock legends Royal Hunt keep their momentum going with album number 13, fittingly titled Devil’s Dozen.

You always know what to expect with the Hunt. So after an expected over the top bombastic intro, the opening track So Right So Wrong delivers everything fans were expecting.
With the exception perhaps of the tone in DC Cooper’s vocals. Not sure why he is using a nasally tone for some of the vocals? Either way, it’s a very fine classic Royal Hunt tune.

May You Never (Walk Alone) has a nicely balanced orchestral piano intro, high on sentiment before exploding into a double kick drum epic.
There’s only 8 new tunes on the album (similar to the last release), but with 5 of those near or over 7 minutes, there is still good value on offer.

50 minutes of bombastic, classic Royal Hunt material, with DC in fine voice and the writing and production talents of Andre Andersen in good form.

In many ways this album typifies the sound of the band over the previous 12 albums. They probably won’t top my favourite The Mission, but this is very consistent and nothing short of massive in sound.
I can’t separate the songs into favourites – there are only 8 – so no fillers thankfully.

Baroque Danish Metal Stars ROYAL HUNT Return With 'Devil’s Dozen'

Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the release of the brand new studio album from ROYAL HUNT entitled “Devil’s Dozen” on August 21st in Europe and North America.

With keyboardist and songwriter André Andersen still at the helm, ROYAL HUNT have once again created an album that combines the basic sound and core values of classic rock with progressive rock and more current musical elements. After selling approximately 1.7 million albums globally and touring the world numerous times, the band’s still going strong…and now gets to release their 13th studio album entitled “The Devil´s Dozen”.

André Andersen says: “We´re very pleased to be able to present our new, thirteenth studio album. While staying on course with all traditional Royal Hunt´s  musical values this one contains quite a bit of variety – from an up-tempo, double kick driven “May You Never (Walk Alone)” to the bluesy “Heart On A Platter” and probably our best ballad to date – “Until The Day”.  Counting in Royal Hunt´s usual attention to details – playing wise as well as production wise – I´m sure that any fan of symphonic/melodic yet hard rocking music will be pleased with our latest offering.”

The new recording stays true to the original, larger-than-life Royal Hunt sound, with imaginative instrumentation, intricate arrangements, soaring vocals and catchy, massive choruses. Yet, the addition of classical musicians/instruments and contemporary, modern day production elements move to twist the outcome into a unique sonic palette. The album is chock full of carefully crafted songs, recorded and mixed by a team who combined crystal clear sonics with a weighty punch.

Featuring once again the talents of the awesome US singer DC Cooper – who, after numerous requests from fans and promoters worldwide decided to reunite with the band in 2011 – Royal Hunt features – besides André Andersen on keyboards - long time member Andreas Passmark on bass, Jonas Larsen on guitar and new drummer Andreas Habo Johansson (ex Narnia). Royal Rock… no substitutes!

“Devil’s Dozen” tracklisting: So Right So Wrong; May You Never (Walk Alone); Heart On A Platter; A Tear In The Rain; Until The Day; Riches To Rags; Way Too Late; How Do You Know (bonus track).
