Today we are going to debut two tracks from the album – the lead track Save The World and Jim’s video for the song we Are Not Alone. Both tracks give a great indication of the album’s sound.
At the heart of the melodic rock scene is a large number of independent artists, who make music for the love of it, contributing some very fine music but not always getting the attention they deserve.
MRR will release DANIEL TRIGGER’s new album ‘Right Turn’ on August 10. You can pre-order the album as well as a deal to grab 'Right Turn' alongside JIM SHEPARD's new album 'Jaded'.

Daniel Trigger is an experienced singer/songwriter from the Midlands, UK who classifies his music as ‘stadium rock’, written to sound at home in an arena, combining big hooks and powerful melodies with anthemic, wide-screen choruses.
And that is the perfect description for Daniel and this album. Seldom will you hear so many hook-driven melodic rockers in one place and while Daniel has an established fan base already, this album is set to reach a whole new fanbase and take his reputation to the next level.
With 3 heavy rock albums under his belt, Daniel made the decision in 2017 to return to his melodic roots. The album ‘Right Turn’, steps away from down-tuned heavy rock in favour of greater musical subtleties, infectious melodies and lyrical optimism, and provides the opportunity for Daniel to make more use of instruments such as acoustic guitar and piano.
Let’s take a listen, with two tracks from ‘Right Turn’ to check out right now:
Australian melodic rockers The Radio Sun have released their first single titled ‘Hold On Tight’, ahead of the band’s forthcoming album titled 'Beautiful Strange', out on August 24th via Pride & Joy Music Germany and Anderstein Music Japan.
Guitarist Stevie Janevski states, “the new video includes many of our friends from around the world and it’s a fun way to show our thanks to them for all their support!”
This will be the fifth full length album released by The Radio Sun, their fifth album in five years. Produced by the band, the album was mixed by Paul Laine (solo, Dark Horse, The Defiants) and mastered by Bruno Ravel (Danger Danger, The Defiants).
The Radio Sun recently returned from shows at Melodic Rock Fest in the United States and Sweden Rock Fest to glowing reviews.
The Radio Sun has already been confirmed for next year's HRH AOR Fest in the U.K with shows in Japan t.b.a.
Vocalist Jase Old & guitarist Stevie Janevski have written their strongest album to date with a focus on catchy songs, layered vocal harmonies with a guitar edge. The band is rounded out by Anthony Wong on bass & Gilbert Annese on drums. The Radio Sun is signing all pre orders of the Australian version of the cd if ordered before the release date. The new cd can be pre ordered for $15 (free worldwide shipping) via the band’s Shop Now page at www.facebook.com/theradiosun
Only about a year and a half after the presentation of their self-titled debut album in spring 2017, German-Italian melodic metal act The Unity are ready to strike again: 14 September 2018 will see the release of their current album Rise on SPV/Steamhammer. The recording features 13 brand-new songs and was cut by drummer Michael Ehré (Gamma Ray) at the B Castle Studio. Rise was produced by the band themselves and, like its predecessor, mixed and mastered by Spanish sound engineer Miquel A. Riutort at the Psychosomatic Recording Studio. The first single to be released from the album will be ‘No Hero’ on August 10th, the second single will be supported by an elaborate video clip. Aside from Ehré, The Unity continue to consist of guitarists Henjo Richter (Gamma Ray) and Stef, vocalist Gianbattista Manenti, bassist Jogi Sweers and keyboardist Sascha Onnen.
“The new songs reflect the amazing energy and extremely enthusiastic responses at our shows, but also the very positive media reactions,”Michael Ehré sums up the material on Rise. With their debut album The Unity were unanimously voted into the “Newcomer of the Year” category by the two leading German metal magazines, Metal Hammer and Rock Hard. Subsequently the six-piece enthralled their fans at tours with Edguy and Sinner and cleaned up at festivals such as Bang Your Head, Metalfest and Winter Masters Of Rock.
Talking of which - soon after its release, Rise will alsoo be presented to The Unity’s rapidly growing fan base as part of an extensive tour: from mid-October 2018, The Unity will accompany Axel Rudi Pell and his band, and the date of the big release show at Ehré’s home town of Nordenham has already been announced (see tour dates). So the second round of The Unity’s triumphal march is about to kick off!
"Rise" will be released through SPV/Steamhammer on September 14th as limited Boxset (incl. CD, 2LP, flag, handsigned photocard, 6 track bonus CD, patch, sticker etc....), CD DigiPak, 2LP Gatefold, download and stream.

Ramping up what has fast become one of rock's most exciting reunions,+LIVE+ have released the official music video for "Love Lounge" (Kavalry Records)--the first new song from the original line-up in over a decade.
The video distinctly bottles the band's legendary live power and prowess into a frenetic and fiery visual companion. Directed by Clay Patrick McBride [Metallica, JAY-Z], the video intercuts intensely claustrophobic performance footage with a high stakes and high pressure poker game highlighted by a femme fatale besting any hand on the table. The viewer follows vocalist Ed Kowalczyk through the subways as the locations span everywhere from Washington Heights and Soho to various rooftops in and around NYC. Their shadow looms over the city powered up by thick distortion, hard-hitting guitars, and Kowalcyzk's electrifying vocals as he sings lyrics like: "Through the smoke I see her comin' near me/Through the haze I see the hourglass/Hypnotized or mystified now I don't know."
Catch the multi-platinum band--Ed Kowalczyk (vocals, guitar), Chad Taylor (guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass) and Chad Gracey (drums, percussion)--in all their glory through this video now.
"Love Lounge" sees the reunited band firing on all cylinders and marks their first new single together with a music video since 2008's "Forever,"and it sets the stage for the release of a forthcoming EP (exact details and dates TBA). Get "Love Lounge" via Kavalry Records here.
The single/lyric video debuted last month on RollingStone.com with Ryan Reed praising it as "thunderous" and noting that "Kowalczyk alternates between a muted, bluesy rumble and a full-throated roar on the track, singing over psychedelic guitar leads, swooshing hi-hats and layers of distortion."
+LIVE+ is lighting up venues coast-to-coast all summer with Counting Crows. This past weekend, Jerry Harrison--the legendary Talking Heads member who's produced albums for +LIVE+--joined the band to play keys on "The Distance" which the band merged into a version of Talking Heads' classic "Take Me To The River" in Mountain View, CA. Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins came onstage in Irvine, CA, to provide additional percussion on "The Distance" (images below). The full itinerary for the "25 Years and Counting" tour can be found here.

TheRighttoRock.com has issued their latest podcast (episode #235), featuring Love/Hate vocalist Jizzy Pearl. Jizzy took time out of his busy schedule to discuss his resurrection of Love/Hate as well as his new album All You Need is Soul. Interview lasts approx. 30 min.
Do members in bands have to like each other? Back in the day, I felt like each band, I loved, had to be the best of friends. I figured they all considered themselves brothers. Fast forward 20 years or so, and you realize some of these guys hate each other, and that is why they ride in separate tour busses etc... When did the love end and why?
Tune it to find out what G and R think. Next the boys brought in Love/Hate vocalist Jizzy Pearl for a one on one. Jizzy discusses his latest album All You Need is Soul, as well as the reason behind leaving Quiet Riot, before they recorded their latest. You won't want to miss this one.
One of the most spirited rockers today is undoubtedly singer/guitarist Jacob Cade, who’s seemingly never-ending energy has landed him opening slots with the likes of Steel Panther, Bobaflex, Winger, and Dokken. And now, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger are on board the Jacob Cade train, as they helped write what will be the follow-up single to Jacob’s Top-40 charting debut, "What’s Your Problem?!"
The new track, "Icky Nikki," was produced and mixed by Michael Wagener, known for his work with Metallica, Motley Crue, Megadeth, Alice Cooper and many more rock legends. Many stations have already added the song into rotation (including KBPI, KHTQ, WIIL, KFML, WHXR, KTED, KEDJ, KGRR, and KCGQ), with many others soon to follow. “Icky Nikki” can be heard via this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcDnojDdhYA
“Working with Lzzy was the most amazing and influential experience for me as a songwriter,” explains Jacob. “I can’t explain how much I learned in that one day of writing music with her and Joe Hottinger. The song is about a toxic girl that was more or less built out of mine and Lzzy’s imagination with a little help from some of my own experiences. I can’t thank Lzzy and Joe enough for being so cool and willing to work with me!”
Cade’s earlier single, “What’s Your Problem?!”, was a hit at rock radio, and was also produced by Michael Wagner, and was co-written with Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan. Additionally, Cade has written material with former Winger guitarist, Paul Taylor, as well.
Lastly, there is a simple reason why Cade feels his music stands out from the rest of the pack. “I believe it is different with what is coming out lately, and that's what makes it special and appealing.” As evidenced with the insanely catchy “Icky Nikki,” the fast-rising rocker is quickly making a name for himself with admirers of high energy, melodic rock n’ roll.
As of Monday, July 9th I was informed through an email and the internet that I was no longer with the band Great White. After having just played a round of back to back shows this week, needless to say, I was taken by surprise. I would, first of all, like to personally thank each and every one of the fans for their continued support over the last 8 1/2 years. It has meant a great deal to me to meet and get to know so many amazing people while on the road.
Taking over the lead for such an iconic band as Great White was no easy task. I did my best to never disappoint the fans and to respect and protect the legacy that Mark, Michael, Audie, and Jack had established so many years ago. Throughout these 8 1/2 yrs. I have proudly invested all of my energy and focus into the GW brand. And while I am disheartened at the abrupt end to this years tour; I will now put my focus into my solo works and other endeavors. While I have no official statement on future touring at this time, I will say that there will be some surprises in store for fans. Stay tuned to all my social media pages, announcements to come.
Thank you,
TERRY ILOUS
Update:
Hello everyone thanks for the support, I'm very touched and yes, I m disheartened but do not wish to start anything bad between the GW camp and my self. It was a great opportunity and I thank Mark, Audie, Michael, and Scotty for believing in me. Great White [Band] Trust me I'm not a doormat, I just don't want drama
