Norwegian Progressive Metallers CIRCUS MAXIMUS Return With 'Havoc'

Norwegian Progressive Metal Masters CIRCUS MAXIMUS to return with “Havoc” the fourth studio album!
Out in March on Frontiers

Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce all details of “Havoc”, the eagerly anticipated new album from Circus Maximus, due for release on March 18, 2016.

“Havoc” is Circus Maximus’ highly anticipated fourth studio album and one that will certainly make a huge impact on the Progressive Metal scene. The band’s musical formula is not easy to pull off. Take jaw dropping musicianship, singer Michael Eriksen with a voice from the heavens and put it together with hooks, anthemic melodies, and enough groove and heavy riffing to satisfy any prog metal fan, and you’ve got the Circus Maximus sound.

The theme on this new album is about moments and experiences in life that lead to love and hate.” says guitarist and producer Mats Haugen.Metaphorically, it's about succumbing to fire and striving to cope with the aftermath of decisions when overshadowed by the love we have for others and ourselves.”

Musically the band offers the usual mixture of very heavy moments intertwined with extremely accessible melodies. Songs like “Pages”, the opener “The Weight”, “After the Fire“ and “Remember” show the full range of the Circus Maximus sound. Still, the album has very heavy songs (“Havoc”) and slow and melodic moments (“Loved Ones”) too.

The band is set to tour heavily in support of this new release with shows in Europe, US (they are already confirmed for the ProgPower Festival) and more territories to come.

The re-defining sound, the songwriting and the clever production, highlights the band as one of the leading, original Progressive-Metal bands around. It’s early yet, but “Havoc” is an absolute contender for Top Album of 2016, transcending the boundaries and subgenres of Hard, Progressive and Metal music. It`s just THAT good – enjoy!

“Havoc” tracklisting includes: The Weight; Highest Bitter; Havoc; Pages; Flames; Loved Ones; After The Fire; Remember; Chivalry.

Rage of Angels is the brainchild of original Ten keyboard player Ged Rylands, who played on their first three studio albums and the double live CD 'Never Say Goodbye'. During his time in Ten, Ged took part in several very successful tours in Japan as well as playing on the highly praised 1996 debut album from Valentine singer Hugo, which was co-produced by Ten vocalist Gary Hughes.

After leaving Ten, Ged went on to play with Contagious and guitar wizard Danny Danzi, and then after a ten year break raising his daughter alone, he returned to the music scene by guesting on several albums including Lover Under Cover, before joining Tyketto in 2012 as a touring member of the band (now full-time member). However, during that ten year break Ged continued writing, the results of which blasted onto the scene with the highly praised Rage of Angels debut ‘Dreamworld’ (Voted #2 album of 2013 by listeners of Firebrand Rock Radio, and #3 album of 2013 by Fireworks Magazine!).

On that album Ged teamed up with a fantastic team of vocalists including Danny Vaughn (Tyketto), Harry Hess (Harem Scarem), Ralph Scheepers (Primal Fear), Matti Alfonzetti and Robert Hart. For this amazing follow-up, the decision was made to use just one singer, the incredible Rob Moratti (ex Saga) whose vocal range massively impressed Ged and Escape. As Ged explained to Fireworks Magazine, “I didn’t think anyone would have the kind of range to be able to do all the tracks on this album because it goes from a Low C up to almost a High C in some parts. The range needed to cover that is incredible, and unbelievably Rob had it. And the more tracks we kept hearing, the more we thought we didn’t need anybody else  ̶  this guy was killing every single track!”

Although Ged plays all the rhythm guitars, the leads are supplied again by Neil Fraser (ex Ten) with Tyketto/Furyon guitarist Chris Green also chipping in with 6 solos. This was originally meant to be only one guest solo for Chris, but he was enjoying himself so much he just kept asking for more. As he happily admitted to Ged, “These are the solos and this is the work that I’m most proud of out of anything I’ve ever done. This is probably my best work I’ve ever done on record.” One listen to ‘The Devil’s New Tricks’ will prove that is no idle sentiment - the guitaring is phenomenal throughout!

The band’s signature song, ‘Rage of Angels’, finally gets recorded and finds its rightful place at the start of this new album - a wonderful slice of classic hard rock, at times evoking Rainbow during their Dio period, setting the tone for things to come.
‘The Devil’s New Tricks’ is a more commercial album than the debut, but is by no means any less rewarding, supplying track after track of the most consummate melodic rock. Rylands & Moratti are a team made in heaven! In fact, you could say they were angels.

The Rage returns in 2016! Don’t miss them!

Frontiers Welcomes DAVID GLENN EISLEY & CRAIG GOLDY

Release Year:
2016

Frontiers Music Srl is thrilled to announce the signing of a new project that sees an alliance between two old friends and legends in the Melodic Rock world. Singer David Glen Eisley and guitarist Craig Goldy, both formerly of GIUFFRIA, have joined forces again in EISLEY / GOLDY, a partnership which will see the two artists bring back the signature sound that launched their careers in the early 80s.

As David Glen Eisley stated around October 2014, after several years on hiatus after his solo effort in 2001, 'My dear friend of many years, guitar virtuoso Craig Goldy made a surprise visit up to my house, knocked on the door and simply stated "Enough of this my friend.. time for you to get up off your ass and come back to work!" He was so adamant I relented and agreed to join him on a small stage in the San Diego area. It all seemed to go well and the next thing I knew a year later, we were in Nottingham, England playing together again in front of a crowd. We had been discussing writing some material for a potential album during this past year. But where to take it? Assuming we were to actually do one, that left a big question... But a simple answer. The BEST Rock & Roll label left on the planet that understood who we were and who we are today. That was Frontiers and our friends Serafino & Mario!! A deal was struck and we both are happy to say "Eisley-Goldy" & friends will be working hard to bring you a new record sometime in 2016. Funny how things happen in this crazy world of Rock & Roll!!'

EISLEY / GOLDY is another in a string of successful sonic unions brought to you by Frontiers Music Srl including Sweet & Lynch, Nordic Union, Resurrection Kings, Find Me, and Revolution Saints, just to name a few

"I am very proud and excited to have such a worldwide sensation as Arnel added to our lineup at Imagen Records," says president Bob Winegard.

Arnel also offered the following message - "I am pleased and honored to have the opportunity to sign with Imagen Records for my solo projects such as my new Christmas record out now, and my full length solo album coming out next in 2016, and of course, be able to work with such amazing crew and management of Imagen Records.
