New From Rock Company: BATTERSEA, STAMINA & LEGION

Battersea mould songs. We search for catchy choruses and riffs. They pop up where we gather: in the studio, in the rehearsal room. And when they don't come easy, we take the time. Our songs are built on strong rhythms and solid foundation of bass. De guitars set the atmosphere and add to the vocal harmonies. Every snare, strum and counterpoint we weigh. Until it's solid as a rock.

To the fans that appreciate the hooks and choruses by Muse, the drums of Foo Fighters, the guitars of Kings of Leon, the bass of U2 and the voice of Creedence: Battersea digests well. And everyone who ever listened to AC/DC, Slayer, Johnny Cash or Bad Religion will find our sound check a trip down memory lane. You€™ll hear where we come from. Or at least we can share a drink over music talk.

Erwin took the stage internationally with metal band Mangled, Bennie with a rock n roll band. Mike, Sander and Tom hit the road with hardcore punk band The Jux Junction. All that experience in the studio, all the live shows and all the song writing add up to... Battersea.

Italian melodic/progressive metal band STAMINA is the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Luca Sellitto. Since the beginning, the band's aim has been to create a personal style of music, combining a wide range of influences ranging from melodic power metal to progressive rock, hard-rock and fusion.

STAMINA recorded the first unofficial demo "The Demo Songs" in February/March 2003 and the second demo "Here To Stay" in July 2004. Both demos gained exceptionally great reviews in various Italian webzines and magazines, and the band started to promote its name playing live everywhere in the South of Italy.

Now, after 4 studio albums, gathering a plethora of rave reviews, playing all over Europe with bands and artists such as Royal Hunt, Russel Allen, Edu Falashi, or as a headliner, collaborating with very special guest singers such as Goran Edman (ex Yngwie Malmsteen), Nils Molin (Amaranthe, Dynazty), Henrik Brockmann (ex Royal Hunt), it is time for a live album.

Recorded in September 2018 at 'City of power Festival' in Zgierz, the city of power in Poland, this has become an amazing CD / DVD combination, containing 9 powerful songs from their catalogue.

2019 sees the return of one of the most prolific rock bands in recent history.  Marred by mismanagement and bad contracts, Legion never reached their full potential and after 8 official releases and no return for their investment, it was time to call it quits.

Fast forward to 2019 and enter Rock Company Records. This up and coming label will now release the brand new Legion album 'RISING' and the world will hear what has been sorely missed in the metal genre. Welcome back Vince O'Regan, Phil Vincent, Gav Cooper, Andy Pierce, and Irv Parrot to the melodic metal world and crank the volume high. 'RISING' takes a step further into the Legion catalogue with even bigger choruses, louder guitars, and more massive hooks than ever before.

Self-produced by the band and mastered by Will Sterling, 'RISING' will surely satisfy the hungry hard rock masses.
Witness the new beginning of a new era…Witness Legion 'RISING'.

AVANTASIA Announce Cast For May 2019 Australian Tour

As it was announced late last year that the world’s biggest Metal opera was finally coming to Australia. 20 years after the release of the original Metal Operas, Musical mastermind Tobias Sammet decided to bring the full AVANTASIA stage show to Australia!

As the AVANTASIA dates, inch closer and closer to Australia, set for impact this May, the cast of this once-in-a-lifetime event has been announced! Amidst sheer praise and admiration for 'Moonglow' (Which hit #1 in the German album charts), Tobias Sammet has out-done himself with a world-class roster of singers and musicians that will be making the trek down under this May:

TOBIAS SAMMET - Lead vocals (Edguy, Avantasia)
BOB CATLEY - Lead vocals (Magnum)
ERIC MARTIN - Lead vocals (Mr. Big)
GEOFF TATE - Lead vocals (ex-Queensryche, Operation: Mindcrime)

Having blown crowds away with headline sets at both Wacken Open Air in Germany and Barcelona Rockfest while touring their previous album Ghostlights, AVANTASIAproved they are one of the biggest names in operatic and symphonic heavy music. Sammet is a masterful storyteller, creating epic fantasy worlds that can barely be contained within his sprawling concept albums. They can barely be contained on stage either with AVANTASIA shows typically lasting for up to three hours!

US Tour Kicks Off On April 15th At The Whisky A Go Go

Following the release of their successful first album Resurrection, MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST is currently recording their second album, co-produced by Michael Schenker & Michael Voss, which is tentatively scheduled to be released in August.

The news is bittersweet as the band recently mourned the passing of beloved MSF drummer Ted Mckenna.

Michael comments, "We are totally heartbroken to hear about Ted McKenna - our amazing drummer and dearest friend - passing away. It’s a massive shock and a huge loss to lose Ted so suddenly. He always had a smile on his face and was one of the most sincerely genuine people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. One of the great rock drummers, he always played from the heart and his heart was music.  Rest in peace Ted, we will miss you x.”

The band also announced they will be welcoming back Simon Philipps and Bodo Schopf - who each played drums in MSG - to the Michael Schenker Fest line-up.  Simon who played on the MSG debut album will return as the main drummer on the upcoming second album. Due to his schedule, he is unable to be the live drummer for the upcoming US tour. This role will be completed by Bodo Schopf, who played on Perfect Timing and Save Yourself. With the sudden passing of Ted Mckenna, Bodo will be featured on the upcoming record but in a smaller role as he had the important job of preparing for the US tour.

Michael states, "We are very grateful to Bodo for being a team player and working out with Simon what needs to be done in order for us to continue as smooth as possible and also to Simon for helping us to make it all possible. Bodo is the perfect choice to continue as the permanent drummer for Michael Schenker Fest. It is a perfect balance between the musicians from the past. It includes everything as a family to continue Michael Schenker Fest."

Bodo comments, "I am very sorry that Ted had to leave us under these tragic circumstances, and I'm proud to rock for him and all the Michael Schenker fans. RIP Ted.”

MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST will kick off their US tour on April 15th at the Whisky A GO GO.  The trek will include performances in Vancouver, Chicago, and New York before concluding on May 18th in Austin. TX!

ZFG Launches New Single "Special"; Announce Tour Dates This Spring

Introducing ZFG – the next generation of rock stars…

"Special" landed among the Top 10 Greatest Gainers on BOTH the Billboard Indicator & Foundations Chart!

Serendipitous is an adjective that describes accidentally being in the right place at the right time, like bumping into a good friend in some unusual location or finding a hundred dollar bill on the ground. The word could also be used well in describing the inception of the band ZFG. Within its ranks you’ll find seasoned songwriters and performers of which you may be familiar, but sometimes the sum of the parts is beyond expectations and lends itself to being genre defining.

Based in Los Angeles, CA, ZFG consists of Jules Galli on vocals, Trev Lukather on guitar, Sam Porcaro on bass and Josh Devine on drums. The members were close friends in different projects, but decided to get into the studio for fun with a new approach in mind, making music with no rules or boundaries. "Zero Fucks Given" is what they called their first day in the studio, which led to their band name ZFG. After writing and recording together on day one, the chemistry was undeniable, so the decision was made to forge their individual projects into one. By melding anthemic, hook-filled melodies within funk rock guitar riffs and groove rock beats, the band shows their ability to compact a vast array of influence and experience into a signature sound with substance, style, and soul.

As serendipitous as the making of the band may have been, ZFG runs with a different mindset when approaching the music they write by not restricting themselves to purely rock-style songs. ZFG’s music is infused in alternative, pop, R&B and a hybrid of other styles. ZFG's radio campaign recently launched for their single "Special" and landed #2 MOST ADDED spot on the Billboard (BDS) Mainstream Rock Indicator Chart and grabbed the coveted #1 MOST ADDED spot on the Foundations (SMR) Chart. "Special" lands among the Top 10 Greatest Gainers on BOTH the Billboard Indicator & Foundations Chart!

The band will embark on their first tour Spring 2019 with Adelitas Way and The Winery Dogs (dates below). Fans can get a taste of their upcoming EP with the release of a lyric video for their single, "Special"

ZFG's new EP is tentatively set for an April 2019 release and the band will hit the road in full
support worldwide.
