A new Swedish Super Group is born – AUTUMN’S CHILD
It is the birth of a dream team with a background in which each member is active or been a member in a well-known band such as H.E.A.T., Mustasch, Eclipse, Moon Safari, Heartbreak Radio & Last Autumn's Dream.
The following are comments from Michael.
“Last Autumns Dream decided to disband for a moment due to each member's schedule was busy.
But in the future, we are planning to get together again to make a new work. Instead, here I'd like to announce a new band, Autumns Child, and the debut album will be released from Marquee / Avalon (Japan) in December this year and AORHeaven in January (Europe).”
The band has already started recording and will release a debut album in December this year.
Prior to that, the first single will be announced in October (Japan Only).
Autumn`s Child is:
Mikael Erlandsson - Lead Vox, Piano/Guitar
Claes Andreasson - Acoustic guitar/Ad Keys
Pontus Åkesson ( Moon Safari)- Lead Guitar
Jona Tee (Heat) - keyboards
Robban Bäck ( Mustasch, Eclipse, W.E.T) - Drums
Hired Guns - (Joel Starander, Peter PP Samuelsson) - Bass
It’s been a rough few weeks for melodic rock fans and this just makes it harder.
I enjoyed all interactions with Erik over the years and my huge regret of my time in this business was coming all too close to getting a Signal reunion underway several years back.
New York-based melodic rock band Station will independently release its third studio album, Stained Glass, on Station Music on Nov. 1.
The unsigned band — comprising singer Patrick Kearney, guitarist/keyboardist Chris Lane, bassist Emi Asta and drummer Tony Baptist — saw its sophomore album, More Than the Moon, land on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and has opened for the likes of Pat Benatar, Poison’s Bret Michaels, Motley Crue’s Vince Neil and Stryper.
Lead single “A Matter of Time” deals with romanticizing goals in life, such as meeting the right person at the right time. Musically, it has a “bluesy rock aesthetic,” according to Kearney. And as the first track on the album, he sees it as a gateway song for listeners who may not be familiar with Station.
“It’s a great kickoff point because it’s very middle of the road in terms of our sound,” he says. “Anyone listening to it for the first time will be like, ‘Okay, I get it — this is a rock band that’s rockin’.”
As for the song’s meaning, he adds, “It’s about not being able to recognize authenticity because you have had a fantasy for so long. In the video [for the song], we personified the fantasy as this really attractive girl, something that you chased after, but you romanticized it. So when reality kicks in, it’s kind of like, ‘Wait a minute, I can’t tell if this is real or not.’ ”
Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of Brazil’s LANDFALL. Hailing from Curitiba, the band features former Auras singer Gui Oliver - a true dead ringer for the legendary Steve Perry - Landfall's sound can be described as falling between classic melodic rock a là Journey with some slightly heavier influences, such as classic era Dokken, White Lion, and Extreme.
“I’m really glad to be back with Frontiers with a new band and new songs in a new perspective. I believe this is my best album so far. I was really impressed when I met the band for the first time. They are truly amazing, gifted and very prepared to do this with me,” says Gui Oliver.
Landfall was originally started by drummer Felipe Souzza and guitarist Marcelo Gelbcke, who are childhood friends and have been playing together since they were about 15 years old. Some years later, bassist Thiago Forbeci joined up with them, adding new musical input and influences and the band decided to go in a new direction. They began writing their songs and creating their own music repertoire to work off of and it was during this period that they recorded a few albums together and performed several concerts around Brazil, including opening for acts like Glenn Hughes and Mike Vescera.
Joining forces together, Gui, Felipe, Marcelo and Thiago created Landfall (formerly known as W.I.L.D.), a blend of hard rock, melodic rock, and AOR.

Recorded live at Frontiers Rock Festival V in Milan, Italy on April 28, 2018, this brand new live release shows PRAYING MANTIS offering the crowd a setlist of new songs and several classic tracks, including selected cuts from the now legendary debut album, “Time Tells No Lies". An awesome release, showcasing the repertoire of one of the most consistent British hard rock bands around.
Originally formed in 1973 by the Troy brothers, Tino and Chris, Praying Mantis became one of the most influential bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). The band is also one of a very small number of bands from that era to have remained an ongoing concern over the intervening years, and to still record and appear live regularly. The debut Praying Mantis album, “Time Tells No Lies” (Arista) was released in 1981 to critical acclaim, and it remains a significant milestone in the history of NWOBHM. Following a short-lived reformation of most of the original line-up of Praying Mantis in 1987, the band went back on hiatus until offered the chance to play in Japan with ex-Iron Maiden members Paul Di’Anno and Dennis Stratton in 1990. This experience injected new life into the band, and also marked the beginning of a productive 15 year partnership with Dennis Stratton.
The band’s second official studio album, “Predator in Disguise” was released in 1991, and the band have continued to write and release new material every two to three years ever since, with a shifting line-up which has featured the likes of Doogie White, Gary Barden, Bernie Shaw, Bruce Bisland, Mike Freeland, Gary Mackenzie, and many other figures from the cream of Britain’s rock fraternity. Following another major change in line-up (including the departure of Dennis Stratton), Praying Mantis signed with Frontiers in 2007 and recorded the album “Sanctuary”, which was released in 2009. The album, considered to be one of the finest of their career, has received consistently positive reviews, as have the follow-ups, "Legacy" and "Gravity”.
Whether gigging in support of their latest releases, writing new material, or re-visiting other songs from their extensive back-catalogue, the Troy brothers, along with guitarist Andy Burgess and newest recruits, John 'Jaycee' Cuijpers on vocals and Hans In T' Zandt on drums and vocals, remain committed to the blend of melody and power in their music that has become a trademark of the Praying Mantis sound, and, some three decades after forming, the band is still completely dedicated to entertaining a seemingly ever-growing army of fans across the globe.
