From the band’s inception, the idea was for members to bring their own ideas to the table but also have the flexibility to come and go when working on their other projects.

Both John and Marco are, and always will be, a part of The Dead Daisies musical family, but at this point in time they have decided to do some work on their own solo projects.

Yes, the guys have recenty been in the studio in LA recording some new music with legendary singer & bass player Glenn Hughes. ‘Righteous Days’ is airing exclusively across the planet this week.

THE DEAD DAISIES ARE LOCKED, LOADED AND READY TO FIRE!!
SPITFIRE MUSIC/SPV RELEASE DATE: AUGUST 23

The Dead Daisies pride themselves on being an ass-kicking Rock band very much of today who love to celebrate the history of amazing music. In short, the band are fans of Rock and always will be.

Every one of the bands albums to date has had at least one cover song on it drawn from great songs from all eras, from the early blues greats to the classic rockers and heavy-hitters of later times. So many terrific players, so many immortal words, so many larger-than-life riffs

"This is a ‘tip of the hat’ to our heroes, bands that influenced us when we use to buy their records as teenagers. Now we’ve put them all on one album and it seriously rocks!! You may think of us as ‘Rock Stars’ but at the end of the day we’re just huge music fans!" - John Corabi

This collection of covers comes together from a long list of some of our favourite tunes, some bona fide classics - or simply songs that made us all smile, sweat and scream, band and audience alike.

These are done Daisies style, with big guitars, big vocals and always a bit of dirt under our collective fingernails, just the way we like it which is why we always love to mix up the setlist and throw them into our live shows.

"Playing these songs live is a total adrenaline rush for all of us.  Our audiences go nuts with our Daisified versions of these songs that come from an incredible time in music.  It’s our way of paying homage to the ‘greats’ of rock."  - Doug Aldrich

So crank them up as they work better with generous amounts of volume and a huge smile on your face. After all, a great song is a great song.  Rock is Indeed alive and well ..

Released on August 23rd, 2019, it comes in a suite of formats including DigiPak CD, Colored Vinyl with CD in paper sleeve, digital download and streaming.

THE DEAD DAISIES ‘Live And Louder’ Released May 19

VITAL NEW ‘LIVE AND LOUDER’ CD / DVD / DOUBLE VINYL / BOXSET RELEASED MAY 19TH ON SPITFIRE MUSIC / SPV

‘Live And Louder’, The Dead Daisies’ highly-anticipated live outing, set for release on May 19th on Spitfire Music / SPV, perfectly captures the awesome vibe of their supreme, sweat drenched, roof-raising live sets, recorded on a heady high at the end of an unbelievable 2016.

From the moment they dropped their first single ‘Long Way To Go’ ahead of their European Festival Summer in June, the hits just kept on coming. The 2nd single ‘Join Together’ ramped up the release of the third studio album ‘Make Some Noise’. The band were well underway touring the USA with KISS, a tour that finished with a sold-out headline show at LA’s prestigious Whisky A Go-Go.

The next single ‘Song And A Prayer’, was released with an accompanying short-film, refocused attention and rang in the final, massive touring phase of the year which saw the band go to Japan for the first time, where they immediately became media and fan darlings and went down a storm at the world-famous Loud Park festival. A string of dates in Korea for the USO and, as the year’s grand finale, a massive UK & European Co-Headline Tour that played 30+ shows to sold-out venues.

The ‘Daisies’ as they are affectionately referred to by their fans, quickly became people’s favourite live band with their relentless energy, stellar musicianship and unabashed joy in bringing the rock back into roll. The big question at signing sessions after each show and on the band’s social media channels continued to be: “When will there be a live album?”. People simply could not get enough of them live.

Not to turn down a good opportunity, the band recorded a number of shows on the UK & European Tour and, with the team that already made ‘Make Some Noise’ blow speakers worldwide. The album was mixed by Anthony Focx (Aerosmith, Bad Company, Metallica, Santana) at Focxhole Studios and mastered by Howie Weinberg. They assembled a true monster in the vein of the great Live Albums of the 70s. You can feel the sweat drip from the ceilings, the energy of the crowd becoming one with the band, screaming, hollering and forgetting about the often mundane reality for a night of true Rock’n’Roll. Warts ’n all, ‘LIVE & LOUDER’ is a document of a band in their prime, a raw slice of visceral energy, an in-your-face assault on the senses. Simply: THE DEAD DAISIES in their element and at their best!

Lead singer John Corabi adds: “We’re extremely excited and proud of our new album ‘LIVE & LOUDER’!!! A lot of the fans have been writing to us and saying how much they LOVED our records but were even more blown away by the band live!!! So this documents our last U.K./European tour, and also shows the world how truly loud and supportive The Dead Daisies fans are!!!! Thank you and Turn It Up!!!!”

‘LIVE & LOUDER’ will be released in a number of different, exciting formats. Again, the band listened to what the fans wanted and added a spectacular vinyl as well as a limited-edition box set that features, among other cool trinkets, an exclusive 7” vinyl single recorded at The Zoo at Planet Rock Radio’s highly coveted London fan-only gig in November 2016.

THE DEAD DAISIES Revolving Lineup Lose Two But Adds DOUG ALDRICH

Categories:
News Feed

Australian/multi-national rockers THE DEAD DAISIES have lost two members to the GUNS N ROSES "reunion", but have added the wonderful DOUG ALDRICH to their ever changing lineup.

Press Release:

New York, NY (January 28th, 2016) – The Dead Daisies are proud to announce the addition of Doug Aldrich to the lineup as lead guitarist of the powerful music collective. Guitarist Richard Fortus and keyboardist Dizzy Reed will be stepping aside to be a part of a momentous project in 2016.

Aldrich is currently in Nashville with the Daisies working with producer Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Gavin Rossdale, Mötley Crüe, Buckcherry) on their follow up to the album Revolución, released last year following the bands trip to Cuba, where the classic rock group were part of a cultural exchange as guests of the Cuban Ministry of Culture, Cuban Institute of Music and the Cuban Rock Agency. The still untitled album will be released globally on SPV Records later this year.

Aldrich joins bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), guitarist David Lowy (MINK, Red Phoenix), John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, The Scream) on vocals and Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol) on drums.

“I’m very, very happy to join my friends Marco, Brian, John and David in the next chapter of The Dead Daisies,” proclaims Aldrich. “I love the band and I’m looking forward to getting busy on the new record. This band is bringing back a raw, back to the bones sound that a lot of groups go for but The Dead Daisies are looking to nail. At this point in time, we are looking to have a kick ass Rock ‘n’ Roll album in the can by spring 2016.”

Fortus couldn’t be happier, saying: “When we started speaking about finding someone to replace me, the first suggestion I had was Doug Aldrich. It doesn’t get any better than Doug in my book. I am so happy that he is able and willing to step in and take over. I think that it will elevate the band to the next level. Thanks to everyone that has supported the Daisies over the last couple of years. Stay tuned to see what they come up with next. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!”

David Lowy, one of the original founders of The Dead Daisies said: “We’re really going to miss Richard and Dizzy. It’s been a privilege and a pleasure to write, record and perform with such talented world-class musicians and all-around great guys. I’ve personally learnt so much from both of them. We’re very excited to announce Doug Aldrich will be joining The Dead Daisies in the lead guitar role. Doug was Richard’s first pick to replace him. He’s a highly accomplished musician, performer and songwriter and we’re really looking forward to Doug joining us as the Dead Daisies adventure rolls on.”

Marco Mendoza couldn’t be more excited as well of course. “Doug and I shared the stage for many years with Whitesnake and have been involved in many recording sessions and projects. He is a powerful guitar player and performer, can’t wait to bring him in on our next efforts in the studio and on the road. VIVA LA ROCK!”

Since exploding onto the scene in 2013, The Dead Daisies have taken the Classic Rock world by storm, releasing two albums to date & touring with the biggest names in rock including: ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Judas Priest, KISS and Def Leppard. 2015 was a banner year that saw the band release their 2nd album, make a historic visit to Cuba, join the line-up for some of the biggest European Rock Festivals including Download and Graspop, tour around the globe with Whitesnake and KISS as well as play a sold out triumphant headline show in Paris. The band then returned to the UK for the first time in two years to play a series of Sold Out club shows, including the special guest slot at Planet Rock Stock in Wales.

With the year having just started, The Dead Daisies are well underway to continue to rewrite the book on Classic Rock. With a killer new album in the works, massive touring being booked and fueled by their ever-growing fan base, the band is showing no signs of letting up.

Rock ‘n’ Roll is alive and well!!!

The Dead Daisies announce new single,
Australian headline shows and NZ dates with Jimmy Barnes
(September 18, 2014)  Contemporary classic rockerss, The Dead Daisies, are set to hit the road again and do a number of huge shows across Australia and New Zealand in November and December, along with releasing a second single, "Angel In Your Eyes", from their Face I Love EP.
The Dead Daisies will headline shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Sydney, as well as a much-anticipated performance in Perth for all their West Aussie fans, playing one show in each city.  The band is also excited to announce that they will be playing some dates with the legendary Jimmy Barnes as special guests on the NZ leg of his upcoming tour.

After a mind-blowing couple of months touring across the USA and performing to massive crowds in excess of half a million people over the summer, with KISS and Def Leppard in August, and Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd during July, The Dead Daisies are looking forward to getting over to New Zealand with Jimmy Barnes, in late November, before heading home back across the Tasman to play 5 shows in Australia, adding to what has already been an extraordinary year for the band.

"I’m super excited to head back to Australia and to visit some new places!  Playing shows with Jimmy Barnes is always fun and it’s always really inspirational. I enjoy touring with those guys...it’s a real family vibe.  Can’t wait to be back in Australia and play some new songs for our fans there!" - Richard Fortus

Set for release in late October is "Angel In Your Eyes", the second single from their latest EP, Face I Love.  "Angel In Your Eyes" is an epic, guitar-fuelled song, accompanied by Stevens powerful vocals, with drums and keys also hitting the mark.

"When the drums kick in you can’t help but start nodding your head to the beat, just before the heavy hi hat rolls in, making the song feel much louder as the vocals ride over the top. The vocals are superb on this EP and Jon Stevens has a naturally soulful voice with a broad range.  Again the keyboards are instrumental in this song providing that subtle melody which is becoming a trade mark of this band." - Rock'n'Load review of "Angel In Your Eyes", Sep 15

THE DEAD DAISIES Show North American Fans What Rock Is All About

The Dead Daisies are flawless as they show North America that new classic rock is well and truly alive

With rave reviews pouring in, The Dead Daisies are impressing even the staunchest of classic rock fans with their lives shows, as they wrap up their support tour with Bad Company & Lynyrd Skynyrd, before heading off to join the juggernaut summer tour that is Def Leppard & Kiss as it moves across the States, during August.

"The Dead Daisies played second on the bill, and did a fine job, assuredly, of gaining new fans with a flawless half-hour set." - Buffalo News

The Dead Daisies are straight up rock brewed from a mixture of classic depth and 80s showmanship - all the cool but none of the spandex..   If it looks like rock, sounds like rock, and hits you in the face like rock - it might be The Dead Daisies, a brand new crew oof seasoned musicians that know their way around a big stage” and These guys are entertaining to watch, the vocals are gritty and powerful, they play like their lives depend on it, and they have the experience to back it up.- Maine Music News

The Dead Daisies do, indeed, have the experience to back it up, and the US is loving it - as they should.  Withh veteran of Australian rock,  Jon Stevens on vocals, with more than 30 years of belting out tunes, and the likes of Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses/Psychedelic Furs) on lead guitar, Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake) on bass, David Lowy (Mink/Red Phoenix) on guitar, Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses/Hookers & Blow) on keys, and Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne/Billy Idol) on drums, it’s hard to find a more musically established group of guys when it comes to ROCK.  They know what it is and how to play it, with heavy influences from the late 70s & early 80s shining through.

The Dead Daisies are showing the world that a “classic rock” sound still has what it takes to get people hooked and can stand up to any newer genre it goes up against.  It’s about musicianship, not auto tune and computers.  It’s about rock.  Full stop.

David Lowy, Richard Fortus, Marco Mendoza & Jon Stevens with Rickey Medlocke (Lynyrd Skynryd) and Howard Leese (Bad Company)

But the excitement doesn’t end there.  Before they join Def Leppard & Kiss on tour, they’re taking some time out to record some new tunes with renowned producer, Ben Grosse (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Marilyn Manson, Filter, KD Lang), in Los Angeles.  Then August 1st sees the much-anticipated release of The Dead Daisies brand spanking new EP, Face I Love.

The title track from the EP, Face I Love, was launched in late June in conjunction with an innovative App, where fans have been uploading photos of faces they love, which will become part of the artwork for the EP cover and touring posters.  Selected fans faces will also be chosen to appear in the music video.  And not only that, but one lucky person will go on to win the experience of a lifetime - a trip to see the band at one of ttheir upcoming concerts.
