Little Caesar release their first ever double live album worldwide on May 6th with pre-orders available right now. “Brutally Honest Live in Holland” was recorded on 6/20/2015 at Muziekcentrum De Bosuil in Weert, Holland. Lead Singer Ron Young adds, "It’s called “Brutally Honest” because there are no overdubs, “clean ups” or fixes to alter what musically occurred that night.

Live music is a unique interaction. It’s an energy exchange between the players and the listeners. This album captures that exchange. It captures a moment in time where our adoration for the power of music, with all its subtle imperfections, combined with a welcoming audience, create an experience that will never occur again. We hope you enjoy it and we hope to get to enjoy a similar exchange with you… in person,…so that we can get to make great music with you all. Without you, your love of music and your support of Little Caesar, we would never get the gift of that cherished exchange.”

They will be triumphantly returning to Germany, Spain, Belgium and France starting on May 6th for 17 dates to celebrate the release of Brutally Honest. Along with the recent addition of Pharoah Barret on Bass (The Four Horsemen) they are proud to announce the joining of Alex Kane on Guitar. Alex was a founding member of Warner Bros artist Life, Sex and Death, and has played Guitar with Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg, Sass Jordan and Richie Ramone.

"Brutally Honest" contains 21 songs taken from the entire Little Caesar catalog; including favorites such as Chain of Fools, Rum and Coke, In Your Arms and a brand new song never recorded or released before called Crushed Velvet. Ron Young had this to say about the new song, "It's about so many women I know in Hollywood that have not grown old gracefully and are leaving claw marks while clinging to a self destructive life out of fear."

Brutally Honest will be available at all the shows in Europe as well Apple iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Google Play and Spotify. iTunes pre-orders will instantly be able to download the tracks Rum and Coke and Chain of Fools.
As a special offer to Little Caesar fans in the UK, if you travel to one of the shows in Europe and show your ID at the merchandise stand to prove you live in the UK Little Caesar will give you a free concert t-shirt to say thank you for making the trip.

Coda is a new British/American outfit, destined to be regarded by the few that hear it, as an opportunity lost. I don’t like to stereotype, after all, with rock n roll anything is possible any time, so you must have an open mind.
That said, seeing the name Vince O’Regan in the production credits brings me out in cold sweat as my ears slowly retract into my head in an act of self-preservation.

And while I once worshipped at the altar of all things Sabu, vocalist Paul Sabu has long since passed his best and now resides in a raspy, gravely realm along with several other legends I won’t name here.
Coda also features CJ Curse on bass and Eric Ragno on keyboards plus Andy Pierce on drums.

And while I wanted to be proved wrong, sadly I’m not. Coda is another production death statistic O’Regan can add to his long, long list of (dis)credits – Alibi, Pulse, Legion, Eden, Bob Catley and Escape.
Loud and in your face (did I mention loud?) does not make a good production and as expected, this is another huge sonic mess, with bass parts so loud my speakers threatened to walk out; tinny guitars and badly mixed vocals; plus is Eric Ragno even on here? I can hardly hear his keyboard parts beyond a couple of background fills and some organ in Heat On Ice. The mix is that bad.

Vocally Paul does his best, but the voice is unrecognizable from the days of Only Child and it's at times painful to listen to.
Song quality isn’t much better. Land Of The Free and Use It Or Lose It are appalling and Den Of Thieves and One Way Love just sound like a mess, almost unlistenable.
Elsewhere most other tracks just blend into each other. There’s little light and shade here. The only track that holds any interest is One Friend To Another.

Not surprisingly, this is a huge mess and will really struggle to sell. Vince O’Regan needs a producer and Z Records needs a winner. Neither appear to be forthcoming and certainly aren’t on display for this debut album. I’ll be surprised if there’s a sequel.

JOHNNY MONARCO Departs ENUFF Z NUFF

From the good folks at: METAL SLUDGE // EXCLUSIVE: In what appears to be a mutual decision, Monaco said he has no plans to return, as founding bassist Chip Z’Nuff has taken over lead vocals

LOS ANGELES — Johnny Monaco, lead singer and guitarist for Enuff Z’Nuff, has announced he is out of the band in the wake of Enuff Z’Nuff playing in New York this past weekend without him, Monaco said just a few minutes ago in a Metal Sludge exclusive.

“Initially, I just wanted to take a break because of a problem with my thumb — it’s called “trigger thumb” — to figure out my treatment options, but now I’m not sure if I want to come back because it looks like I’m not needed,” Monaco said.

Chip Z’Nuff took over lead singing duties at two small-scale in New York. Check the youtube video below.  Tony Stoffregen and Tony Fennell are playing guitar in the video.

Furthermore, Monaco said he felt snubbed in not being included in a new record contract for Enuff Z’Nuff that Chip just signed with top European label Frontiers Records.

“I’m disappointed in not being involved,” Monaco said. “Frontiers wants old songs with (original singer) Donnie Vie. Chip is saying this is going to be a new record, but it’s not. It’s old stuff with Donnie. Part of the deal, I think they’re giving Donnie money obviously because he wrote the songs. That’s another thing. If I was the writer, it would make more sense for me to still be in the band.”

Monaco said he spoke to Z’Nuff two days ago and that Chip said he wants to do the singing now.

Z’Nuff was not available for comment.

Monaco, from Chicago, was in Enuff Z’Nuff from 1996 to 2008, then rejoined in 2013.

“Now I know how Donnie felt,” Monaco said. “Me and him have the same kind of issues with the whole thing.”

BRIAN JOHNSON Issues Statement

As many AC/DC fans know, the remaining shows for the 2016 AC/DC Rock or Bust World Tour, including 10 postponed U.S. shows, are being rescheduled with a guest singer.  I want personally to explain the reason because I don’t believe the earlier press releases sufficiently set out what I wanted to say to our fans or the way in which I thought it should be presented.

On March 7th, after a series of examinations by leading physicians in the field of hearing loss, I was advised that if I continue to perform at large venues, I risked total deafness.  While I was horrified at the reality of the news that day, I had for a time become aware that my partial hearing loss was beginning to interfere with my performance on stage.  I was having difficulty hearing the guitars on stage and because I was not able to hear the other musicians clearly, I feared the quality of my performance could be compromised.  In all honesty this was something I could not in good conscience allow.  Our fans deserve my performance to be at the highest level, and if for any reason I can’t deliver that level of performance I will not disappoint our fans or embarrass the other members of AC/DC.  I am not a quitter and I like to finish what I start, nevertheless, the doctors made it clear to me and my bandmates that I had no choice but to stop performing on stage for the remaining shows and possibly beyond.  That was the darkest day of my professional life.

Since that day, I have had several consultations with my doctors and it appears that, for the near future, I will be unable to perform on stage at arena and stadium size venues where the sound levels are beyond my current tolerance, without the risk of substantial hearing loss and possibly total deafness.  Until that time, I tried as best as I could to continue despite the pain and hearing loss but it all became too much to bear and too much to risk.

I am personally crushed by this development more than anyone could ever imagine.  The emotional experience I feel now is worse than anything I have ever in my life felt before.  Being part of AC/DC, making records and performing for the millions of devoted fans this past 36 years has been my life’s work.  I cannot imagine going forward without being part of that, but for now I have no choice.  The one thing for certain is that I will always be with AC/DC at every show in spirit, if not in person.

Most importantly, I feel terrible having to disappoint the fans who bought tickets for the canceled shows and who have steadfastly supported me and AC/DC these many years.  Words cannot express my deep gratitude and heartfelt thanks not just for the recent outpouring to me personally of kind words and good wishes, but also for the years of loyal support of AC/DC.  My thanks also go to Angus and Cliff for their support.

Finally, I wish to assure our fans that I am not retiring.  My doctors have told me that I can continue to record in studios and I intend to do that.  For the moment, my entire focus is to continue medical treatment to improve my hearing.  I am hoping that in time my hearing will improve and allow me to return to live concert performances.  While the outcome is uncertain, my attitude is optimistic.  Only time will tell.

Once again, my sincere best wishes and thanks to everyone for their support and understanding.

Love,
Brian
