PUNKY MEADOWS Announces West Coast And East Coast Tour Dates

Tour News

One of the most striking hard rock bands of the 1970's was undoubtedly ANGEL - who sported costumes and a highly theatrical stage show only rivaled by KISS (their then-label mates on Casablanca Records). Despite ANGEL splitting in 1981, the group's popularity and influence remain high - resulting in the return last year of their larger-then-life guitarist, Punky Meadows, with his first-ever solo release, 'FALLEN ANGEL,' and a striking video clip for the rocking track, 'Straight Shooter': https://youtu.be/pZVp6Y_k2CU

'I'm very proud of this song and album,' says Punky. 'Every song kicks ass and is a winner. Danny Farrow and I have a great song writing chemistry so it's hard to to pick a favorite song because they're all good. 'Straight Shooter' was our first single and video. This band is killer with all talented players and a killer singer.'

And in March and April, Punky will be performing in the US. From March 8th-10th, dates have been announced for Las Vegas, San Diego, and Los Angeles, followed by Poughkeepsie on April 21st and NYC on April 29th. Joining the guitarist on stage will be a band comprised of Chandler Mogel - lead vocals, Danny Farrow - rhythm guitar, vocals, Charlie Calv - keyboards, and Bob Pantella - drums, while it will be decided closer to the dates if bass will be supplied by Felix Robinson (due to recent surgery).

ANGEL was a headline act in the US, and was featured performing live in the 1980 cult classic film, 'FOXES' (starring a then-teenage Jodie Foster, Cherie Currie, and Scott Baio), they were also one of the biggest rock bands of the 1970's in Japan. The group released six studio albums on Casablanca Records before disbanding in 1981, due to the demise of the label. During his career, Punky had been considered to join such well-known artists such as KISS, AEROSMITH, and the NEW YORK DOLLS.

Upon the band's disbanding, Punky occupied himself with a number of successful business ventures while continuing to play guitar and write songs. Through social media, fans let him know they missed him and wanted to hear new music. With renewed passion for recording music, and inspiration from close friend and fellow musician, Danny Farrow Anniello, they crafted 15 new songs together for 'FALLEN ANGEL,' which charted on Billboard at #6 on the Heatseekers Chart and #32 on the Independent Album Chart.

Also available is a special autographed edition of PUNKY MEADOW'S 'Fallen Angel' that includes a PUNKY MEADOWS GUITAR PICK, and two bonus tracks (one featuring original ANGEL vocalist FRANK DIMINO), exclusively on the www.mainmanrecords.com website. Otherwise, the regular 15 song edition is available everywhere else, including iTunes, Amazon, and all other music outlets.

Also available are a limited amount of meet and greets for each show. The meet and greet includes a personal photo with Punky and the band (with personal cell or camera) up to 3 autographed Punky or Angel items, and a free 8x10 to have autographed as well. Here are the links to the meet and greets (all but the BB KING meet and greet, which is on their website at checkout): punkymeadows.weebly.com/tour-dates.html

And soon, fans will get an opportunity to experience Punky and his band live on stage. 'Can't wait to get on the road and play for all the fans again. We're coming to a town near you and we're going to tear the place up!! It's going to be one bad ass party, so don't miss it and let's rock!!

TOUR DATES:

March 8th -  Backstage Bar and Billiards (Las Vegas)
March 9th -  Brick By Brick (San Diego)
March 10th -  Whisky (Los Angeles)
April 21st -  The Chance (Poughkeepsie)
April 29th -  BB Kings (New York City)

Frontiers Music Srl is particularly pleased to announce that after a seven year hiatus, Labyrinth, the legendary Italian Metal band, will return with a brand new studio album, “Architecture of a God” on April 21.

In the spring of 2016, the band’s founding members, Andrea Cantarelli and Olaf Thorsen received a call from Frontiers asking them to discuss with vocalist Roberto Tiranti the possibilities of a reunion with a return to their classic sound to mount a comeback for the band. After much discussion, the guys agreed to make an album and also to make a very special appearance at the the first annual Frontiers Metal Festival, where they performed their signature album, “Return to Heaven Denied” in it’s entirety [said performance is being prepared for a future home video release.]

Olaf says: “This has been easily the most difficult and challenging album I ever worked on. To be honest, when Frontiers contacted me, insisting to make this reunion happen, I was skeptical and worried. We couldn't simply make a new album, it wouldn't have been honest to the fans, to ourselves. Of course, this is as easy to say as also unbelievably tough to make real: we have so many good albums out there, looking at us from their past and which people still keep in their minds and hearts. That's why we decided to strengthen our line-up, joining with nobody else but the best musicians we believed they would have fitted perfectly into our perspective of the music we were about to write.”

Andrea adds: “The making of this album has been a fantastic journey. We brought back a lot of classic elements of our music, mixing it with something new and I'm so enthusiastic about the final result.”

Roberto Tiranti makes it short: “Just when you thought you already gave everything you could, expressing every possible musical aspect of your way of intending music for a band like Labyrinth, then comes "Architecture of a God", to remind you that nothing is impossible!”

With a new line-up rounded out by drummer extraordinaire John Macaluso (TNT, Riot, Ark etc.), Oleg Smirnoff (Vision Divine, Edritch) on keyboards, and Nik Mazzucconi on bass, Labÿrinth are truly coming back stronger than ever and have offered up a superb self-produced album. “Architecture of a God” (mixed by DGM’s Simone Mularoni) is a record that encompasses all the elements the band is known for: fast power metal songs with unforgettable hooks, epic prog infused metal songs, and some great melodic numbers that compose a record which is easily going to be another milestone for the Italian metal masters!

“What we have in our hands, now, it's "Architecture of a God": by far, the most mature and complete album we ever wrote,” concludes Thorsen. “There's no will to challenge our glorious past, but I'm really confident that, once released, this album will set a new standard for our music!”

“Architecture of a God” tracklisting includes:
1. Bullets
2. Still Alive
3. Take On My Legacy
4. A New Dream

MelodicRock.com is excited to announce the return of MelodicRockFest for one more round!

MRF5 will happen in May 2018

Stuck with the problem of deciding between two amazing locations and two amazing venues, with two great partnerships to work with, we've taken the only responsible option - two MelodicRockFest events, back to back!

MRF-USA and
MRF-Scandinavia

MRF5 will be happening  as usual in the Chicagoland area; and for the very first time is also heading to the other side of the globe, for a special event in Sweden!

This initial announcement is being made 14 months out from the events to allow interested fans to plan ahead and save for what will be two unforgettable events.

Full lineups for both events are in advanced planning and will be announced in the not too distant future.

Both MelodicRockFest events will take place in May 2018 and will feature the best characteristics of previous fests, with a couple of new twists to keep diehard fans happy and offer up some tempting VIP options.

MRF organizer Andrew McNeice: "I was initially reluctant to dive into another event, but the partnership offers on both side of the Atlantic give me the confidence and enthusiasm to really deliver two exclusive events. I'm doing this for the fans. The true fans of this small, but amazing genre. I want to put on the two best MRF events yet and discussions with artists I'd love to take part suggest they will be.
I'm going to deliver lineups that offer something you won't get at any other event, with the emphasis on the hottest acts fans in both locations have been demanding to see.
You can expect there to be a crossover of some artists at both events and for those looking for a double holiday, there will be ticketing options that cover both events.
It's also a great opportunity for some artists to perform that wouldn't otherwise get a chance and I'd love to deliver a few surprises from yesteryear that the diehards will embrace."

Further details will be announced in coming weeks including locations, exact dates and the all-important lineup and ticketing details.

There will be various vendor and sponsor opportunities. If interested, please contact: ajm@melodicrock.com

ADRENALINE RUSH Deliver 'Soul Survivor' April 21

Frontiers Music Srl is happy to announce the release of Adrenaline Rush’s second album, “Soul Survivor” on April 21.

Following the successful release of the band’s 2014 self-titled debut album, Adrenaline Rush are now ready to unleash their next infectious slice of hard, sleaze, melodic rock on the rock 'n roll masses!

This time, blond bombshell vocalist Tåve Wanning mainly collaborated with Fredrik Folkare (FIRESPAWN, UNLEASHED), who brought fresh influences to the table that fit very well with Tåve’s ideas. The music has evolved and grown beyond what appeared on the debut. It is still melodic and definitely has an 80’s flavor, but also is a bit more complex, darker, and heavier than the previous album. The production is edgier and the guitar work once again pristine. Erik Martensson (Eclipse) was once again involved as a sounding board, co-writing a song and mastering the finished tracks.

“I didn’t want to make another album just like the first one,” Tåve says. “I’ve grown since we recorded the first, I am in a different place. And I feel the album reflects that. The new tracks really complement the old instead of replacing them; they add a new dimension and gives us a broader spectrum of songs to choose from when playing live.”

The band has also seen some changes. Former members Ludvig and Soufian left the band to focus on other endeavors and have been replaced by Sam Soderlindh (lead guitar) and Joel Fox (bass). Sam is a new face to most, a young guitarist with fast fingers and a lot of potential. Joel, on the other hand, has been around for a while in bands like Dynazty and Siniestro. Alexander Hagman and Marcus Johansson complete the band’s line-up on guitar and drums respectively.

The band is set to perform a few club gigs in Sweden, before appearing at the 4th annual Frontiers Rock Festival in Milano, Italy, on April 30th.

"Hope to see you at a gig. Until then… enjoy the Rush!" encourages Tåve!

“Soul Survivor” tracklisting:
1. Adrenaline
2. Love Like Poison
3. Breaking The Chains
4. Soul Survivor
5. Stand My Ground
6. My Life
7. Break The Silence
8. Sinner
9. Shock Me
10. Wild Side
11. Don't Wake Me Up
12. Crash
13. Soul Survivor (Acoustic Version - Bonus Track Digital Version).

TREAT To Release 'The Road More or Less Traveled - Live in Milano' April 21

Artist:
Friday, April 21, 2017

Frontiers Music Srl is very happy to announce the release of the first in a series of live albums and videos captured at the popular annual Frontiers Rock Festival.

The first artist in the series is the legendary Swedish melodic rockers TREAT, who will release their first ever live CD and first live DVD/BLU-RAY in over 10 years entitled “The Road More or Less Traveled - Live in Milano” on April 21.

On April 23, 2016, Treat played a hotly anticipated set at Frontiers Rock Festival III. Held close to Milano, Italy, this was the third annual edition of the festival and saw Treat playing hot on the heels of the release of their latest studio album, “Ghost Of Graceland”. The release date of this live album happens to be about one year after the initial performance took place and almost coincides with the 2017 edition of the Frontiers Rock Festival as well.

The band took the stage by storm, opening the show with the title track from their last studio album and showcasing a very special lineup, which features H.E.A.T. keyboardist Jona Tee taking the place of Patrik Appelgren for this exclusive performance. Treat offered a show with a great mixture of new and recent songs taken from their latest album, the highly regarded 2010 release “Coup De Grace”, and classic songs from the good ol’ days including “World Of Promises”, “Get You On The Run”, and “Ready For The Taking”.
Says guitarist Anders Wikström, “As we haven’t released a live home video in 10 years, let alone a live album ever, and then Serafino asked us, we were more than delighted, and frankly, long overdue, to show our fans what we been up to for the last couple of years. With so many albums to choose from and our audience constantly asking for different songs in the setlist, this was a great opportunity to close one chapter, only to start writing the next. "The Road more or Less Traveled” is a great reminder for anyone to see that Treat is very much a living and breathing live entity!”

Treat’s performance was truly a unique and special one and this live video documents a great moment in the band’s history as well as serving as a celebration of one of Sweden’s finest hard rock bands ever!
"This year will take us right back we belong, on stage! We have some really cool surprises and will of course play the best of the new, but also older songs we haven’t performed in ages! See you all on tour through 2017,” concludes Anders.

“The Road More or Less Traveled” will be released on CD/DVD, Blu Ray standalone, and digital editions and will include the following tracks:

CD/DVD/BLU-RAY:
1. Ghost Of Graceland
