Drums & Percussion - Jonathan Mover (Marillion, The Tubes, GTR, Joe Satriani)
So what are this band of musicial icons doing together?
Only making one of the best AOR/rock/midwestern/pop records you’ll ever hear, that’s what!
There’s not one note out of place on this monster album - an eclectic mix of classic rock influences, with a level of musicianship completely off the scale.
MRR A&R Andrew McNeice:"I'm so proud and thrilled to have these guys and this amazing album on MRR. The crisp, sharp production allows all the many layers to breathe and showcase the extraordinary talents these guys have. This is one of the finest albums for musicianship that I have heard in years!"
After recording a few records with various well-known musicians, guitarist/songwriter Alan Friedman wanted to form a band with his favorite drummer, bassist, keyboardist and vocalist. His choices were easy, as he enlisted drummer Jonathan Mover (Aretha Franklin, Alice Cooper, Joe Satriani), bassist Doug Wimbish (Living Colour, Jeff Beck, TackHead), keyboardist Vince DiCola (film score composer of ‘Rocky IV’ & ‘The Transformers: The Movie’), and killer AOR vocalist Robbie LaBlanc (Find Me, Fury).
Together, they spent three days in L.A. studio “The Steakhouse” and wrote this entire record from scratch, including a complete rearrangement of the Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows.” One of Jonathan’s many girlfriends (and there have been many) always called Alan “Kannenballs” because the name of Alan’s CPA firm is “Friedman, Kannenberg & Company.” And as they say, the rest is history.

Los Angeles, CA (March 20, 2019) – Guns N’ Roses bassist and New York Times bestselling author DUFF McKAGAN has released “Chip Away,” a new track from his much-anticipated solo album, TENDERNESS (UME).
“’Chip Away’ is somewhat of a rail against cable news and divisive agendas…all for the almighty dollar,” says McKagan. “The song also highlights the fact that history repeats itself over and over, and that we will all get past this, together."
The full track listing for TENDERNESS is as follows:
“Tenderness”
“It’s Not Too Late”
“Wasted Heart”
“Falling Down”
“Last September”
“Chip Away”
“Cold Outside”
“Feel”
“Breaking Rocks”
“Parkland”
“Don’t Look Behind You”
Also available for pre-order is a special limited edition TENDERNESS deluxe book, which includes the album on 180-gram yellow & red starburst vinyl, the CD, and features an exclusive lithograph signed and numbered by McKagan. The hard cover book contains 40-pages of photos from the recording sessions and also presents liner notes written by Duff detailing his experiences with each song and the project as a whole. The vinyl features 10 tracks and a unique sequence carefully selected by McKagan and the album’s GRAMMY®-winning producer Shooter Jennings, while the CD includes 11 tracks.
TENDERNESS sees McKagan reflecting on his experiences traveling the globe over two and a half years on Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime tour. Encountering heartbreak, anger, fear, confusion and divide on his travels during this tumultuous time in our world history, McKagan channeled a collective hurt into songs of monolithic power.
“We’re becoming divided at a time when we need each other most,” says McKagan. “When huge industries get replaced because of modernization, it’s time to retrain and bolster up those who get swept aside. Homelessness and drug addiction are avoidable in this country if we come together and get private and public cogs turning together in a positive direction. We can at least try to tackle mental illness while we’re at it. But alas, we stump and lie, point fingers and divide. We’re way better than this. As a father, I must say and do something now because I love my girls and my wife, and I love my country, and I feel I must be strong and use my voice now, do it while I’m able or perhaps never get a chance ever again.”
McKagan and Jennings began recording Tenderness a year ago this month, working out of Station House studios, located in Echo Park, CA, where they wrote and recorded in-between McKagan’s tour with seminal rock band Guns N’ Roses and the release of Jennings’ eponymous album, Shooter. TENDERNESS features Jennings and his band along with appearances by The Waters and The Suicide Horn Section (which features Duff’s brother Matt McKagan on trombone), amongst others.
Twelve months later, they’re gearing up to take these songs on the road for a North American tour that kicks off May 30 at TLA in Philadelphia. Prior to the tour’s launch, Los Angeles-based fans can catch McKagan and Jennings discussing the album and giving a special performance at the GRAMMY® Museum in downtown LA.

Keith Reid & Gary Brooker founded Procol Harum in 1967. In the same year A Whiter Shade Of Pale became a world hit. While Gary was the rockstar, the voice & face of Procol Harum, Keith was the poet and artworker who preferred to hide in the dark. At most, he flitted over a videoclip for a few seconds. Soon he decided to stay off stage and wasn't seen there for some decades.
Quite a unique phenomenon in the rock scene. Anyway the band's classics, their musical, lyrical and artistic entirety – such as Homburg, A Salty Dog or Grand Hotel - would be unthinkable without Keith Reid. „In My Head“ is released under the banner "The KRP" (Keith Reid Project). It is Keith's second solo album after „The Common Thread“ (2009). The album contains a fine collection of soulful songs that Keith composed together with Anders Widmark, Rob Wassermann, Steve Booker, Anthony Krizan, Matt Noble, John Waite (famous for „Missing You“) and Steve Booker (writer of Duffy's 2008 hit „Mercy“). Six singers are featured on the Album: John Waite, Steve Booker, Anthony Krizan, Jeff Young, Chris Merola & last but not least on four songs, the young and talented Maya Saxell. For appetizer check out „Ten More Shows“ or In „My Head“.
Track list: 01 This Space Is Vacant (vocals by Maya Saxell) 02 In My Head (vocals by Anthony Krizan) 03 Thiefes Road (vocals by Steve Booker) 04 Ten More Shows (vocals by Maya Saxell) 05 The Bank Of Worry (vocals by Jeff Young) 06 The Trial Of The Century (vocals by Chris Merola) 07 Back From The Brink (vocals by Maya Saxell) 08 All I Need To Know (vocals by John Waite) 09 Dance With Me (vocals by Maya Saxell) 10 House Of Cards (vocals by Steve Booker)
