PRIMAL FEAR To Release New Album, 'Apocalypse' August 10

Artist:
Friday, August 10, 2018
Categories:
News Feed

Frontiers Music Srl is proud to announce the release of another monster heavy metal album from Germany's Primal Fear in the form of their new studio album, “Apocalypse” on August 10, 2018!
To celebrate the announcement, the band has released a lyric video for the track "Hounds Of Justice”

"Apocalypse" will be available in the following formats:
- CD
- CD/DVD
- Box Set (includes CD/DVD + T-Shirt) [T-shirt size L in EU/UK edition, size XL in N.A. and AU edition]
- LP

“Apocalypse” is Primal Fear’s 12th studio album and another milestone release in keeping with the consistent growth the band has shown through their career. Primal Fear, through years of hard work and a steady stream of increasingly powerful albums, have become one of the most beloved and respected heavy metal bands around the globe, a true metal institution. Their last two studio albums, “Delivering The Black” and “Rulebreaker”, saw them climbing the charts in several territories and receiving even more critical praise than previous releases. Truly, especially in recent years, the band has continued to raise the bar in terms of quality and musicianship with each release, constantly pushing themselves to find new ways to best themselves.

Production of the record started at the end of 2017 and was wrapped by Spring 2018 at Hansen Studios is Denmark with producer Mat Sinner and engineer/mixer Jacob Hansen. "My personal highlight of recording the album was the fantastic teamwork. Peaceful, focused and really creative,” says Mat Sinner. "No big discussion, no heated arguments. Everybody did a fantastic job and the performances were top notch. This was the key to improve every little detail of the songs, from old school to epic, from modern to symphonic, from fast to slow - you will hear it all on 'Apocalypse'.”

The guitars on the album are truly outstanding. Each of the three guitar players of the band - Magnus Karlsson, Tom Naumann and Alex Beyrodt - shine in their own respective right. Thanks to the fantastic mix provided by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Delain, Pretty Maids, Amaranthe, etc.), each player is highlighted.

And finally, what to say about the performance of Ralf Scheepers, one of the truest and most outstanding vocal metal heroes of our times? "Ralf is more motivated and ambitious than ever before,” relays Sinner. "The band vibe is extremely peaceful and creative these days and this really elevates Ralf. He had the opportunity to try different things on the songs and even some extreme ideas, which are always welcomed. Ralf sounds good in every pitch from a very deep sonor voice, to a mid-range power vocal to extreme high-pitched screams, so we could fool around with all different scales and scenarios. For example, I think the vocal performance on the song ‘Supernova’ speaks for itself.
The result on "Apocalypse" is utter satisfaction paired with maximum enthusiasm and we’re really happy about the final result - I hope the fans will enjoy the record as much as we do!”

PRIMAL FEAR Preparing 'Apocalypse' For Fans in 2018

Artist:
Release Year:
2018

PRIMAL FEAR are back in the studio working on their upcoming new album, “Apocalypse”. 12 brand new crushing heavy metal tracks have been selected, out of 30 newly written tracks, which will be produced by PF's own Mat Sinner and engineered & mixed by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark. The album is tentatively scheduled for release in mid-2018.

New song titles include “Apocalypse”, “New Rise”, “The Hounds Of Justice”, “King Of Madness”, “The Beast”, “Blood, Sweat & Fear” and the 10 minute extravaganza “Eye Of The Storm”. Stylistically, the new tunes follow the same path that started on the most successful PRIMAL FEAR album so far, “Rulebreaker”.

Ralf Scheepers: "I don’t know where it comes from and how we do it, but we seem to have a real flow in writing some cool heavy metal tunes since quite a while. And again, nothing will be released which we are not 100% satisfied with. You can trust the seal of the brand PRIMAL FEAR.”

Mat Sinner adds: “I’m really surprised about the creativity in the band. Every band member contributes on the song writing and I’m super happy about the chosen songs and the production so far. You can expect a full energy driven metal album with a maximum attitude and raw power!”

PRIMAL FEAR will support the new album release with an extensive summer festival tour in 2018, followed by a world tour.

PRIMAL FEAR Add 4 New Tracks To 'Best Of Fear' Compilation

Frontiers Music Srl are pleased to announce the release of Primal Fear's 'The Best Of Fear' on November 10th, 2017!
Check out the new song, 'If Looks Could Kill' (a Heart cover) here: https://youtu.be/V-R0xgaGYGY

'Best of Fear', as the name implies, is a new best of compilation from German heavy metal masters, Primal Fear. This double album culls together the best material from Primal Fear's last 10 years of work (including the albums 'New Religion,' '16.6 (Before the Devil Knows You're Dead),' 'Unbreakable,' 'Delivering the Black,' & 'Rulebreaker'), plus four brand new songs recorded specifically for this release.
Mat Sinner says: 'We wanted to come up with something special instead of a regular "Best-Of' album. We've recorded 4 new songs including a cover of the Heart song "If Looks Could Kill' and in my view one of the best vocal performances of Ralf Scheepers' career - crushing! We've divided the album into 2 CDs - on CD 1 the new tracks and our most favorite rockers, on CD 2 the epic stuff and the long songs including an exciting artwork by Stan Decker. This is a compilation we're proud of and much more than a collector's item!'
This comprehensive overview of Primal Fear's body of work over the past ten years is aptly split into two records which showcase the magnificence (and constantly maturing) songwriting abilities of these heavy metal lifers. The first album encompasses the heavier and more straight ahead material, while the second shows the more involved and epic side of the band's songwriting.
So, whether you're just discovering Primal Fear or you're a long-time fan, this is a really good overview of their music over the past ten years and is not to be missed!

What we have here, is a metal monster! Yes, it’s tailor made for the metal audience, as have been all Primal Fear albums, so it’s a matter of personal taste of course. But if you have been a long time Primal Fear fan, or following Mat Sinner and Ralf Scheepers – then Rulebreaker is a buy or die release.
Contrary to the title, the guys don’t break any metal rule – instead they adhere to them to the letter. Big screaming riffs, big screaming vocals and a high impact rhythm section pounding out the tunes.
What the guys have done here is increase their credibility as one of Europe’s premiere pure metal bands.
And the energy within is hard to contain.
We have 11 tracks – all relatively concise at under 5 minutes and some under 4 – with one 10 minute epic right in the middle.

Highlights include the fast moving opener Angels Of Mercy; the darker chugging metal of The End Is Near and the more melodic Bullets & Tears (great hook); plus the anthemic Rulebreaker; the slow/fast/mid-paced/fast epic We Walk Without Fear and the brain crushing riffage of The Devil In Me.
The big metal ballad The Sky Is Burning is one of the biggest sounding tracks I’ve heard from these guys. Epic.

Everything I expected and have heard from the guys previously – just better. Really strong songs, a huge production and fabulous mix and lots and lots and lots of guitars. Loud guitars.

PRIMAL FEAR Unleash Their 'Rulebreaker' January 29

PRIMAL FEAR to return with a storming new studio album “Rulebreaker” - out on Frontiers in January!

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the worldwide release of the new PRIMAL FEAR studio album “Rulebreaker” on January 29, 2016! Available in CD, deluxe CD/DVD and – in collaboration with Soulfood Music in Germany – also on vinyl and a special super-limited vinyl edition version featuring an eagle head on the vinyl, “Rulebreaker” combines the strongest PRIMAL FEAR moments ever, with a well-balanced typical PRIMAL FEAR trademark riff-vibe, crushing songs and some very ambitious musical journeys.

Singer Ralf Scheepers says: “We have so much energy, fantastic melodies and a hell of a drum groove on each and every song, there is no doubt that the fans will love it as much as I do! And again we have achieved to combine bombastic and atmospheric orchestral sounds with soaring heavy metal riffs and licks, together with ear splitting screams and also emotional sequences. We have kept the promise of being a heavy metal band with all the trademarks for which people love Primal Fear“.

After the massive “Delivering The Black” world tour, PRIMAL FEAR started the songwriting in spring 2015 and recorded at Hansen Studios in Denmark, with producer Mat Sinner and engineer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Pretty Maids, Amaranthe). Mat Sinner adds: “We learnt a lot during the Delivering The Black sessions and the following world tour. We  tried to put this know-how and all the positive energy into the songs and production of “Rulebreaker. Working the
second time with Jacob Hansen and even record in his studio, gave another dimension to our sound, plus the recording comeback of founding member Tom Naumann was the right move”.

Classic and ultra-fresh Primal Fear riff-rockers like the album opener “Angels Of Mercy,” or the groove monsters “The End Is Near” and “Bullets And Tears” hit the bulls-eye from the beginning - just like the untamed speed killer “In Metal We Trust” and the metal anthem and title track “Rulebreaker”. The melodic and unique ballad “The Sky Is Burning” shows a different side of PRIMAL FEAR with a new vibe and a monster chorus. And of course, PRIMAL FEAR added again a 11-minute plus Prog Metal tour de force entitled “We Walk Without Fear”, spiced with big orchestral arrangements and complex sound designs.

PRIMAL FEAR are about to release what is definitely their strongest album ever: “RULEBREAKER”.  Don’t miss the German Metal Commando on their worldwide tour in 2016!

“Rulebreaker” tracklisting includes:
Angels Of Mercy; The End Is Near; Bullets & Tears; Rulebraker; In Metal We Trust; We Walk Without Fear; At War With The World; The Devil In Me; Constant Heart; The Sky Is Burning; Raving Mad; Final Call (Bonus Track – deluxe edition only); Don’t Say You’ve Never Been Warned (Bonus Track– deluxe edition only).

Melodic Metallers EMPIRES OF EDEN Sign To MelodicRock Records

Monday, March 9, 2015

MelodicRock Records is going full metal for this special release from Aussie melodic metal project EMPIRES OF EDEN.

Their new album Architect Of Hope is a raging slab of relentless riffing and high-octane metal, all delivered with style, class and plenty of melodies.

This album will be released March 9 and will be available via MelodicRock.com and MelodicRock Direct.

For ease of pre-ordering, TONK, the other Aussie hard rock band who have just signed on with MRR will  have their album pushed back one week to match the EMPIRES OF EDEN release date.

Pre-orders and audio from both albums available Monday!

More on EMPIRES OF EDEN:

From Avantasia to Ayreon and beyond, collaborations in metal typically prove to be more than the sum of their parts. This has been never been more true than in the case of Empires of Eden, a melodic metal project originating from Sydney, Australia and spanning the entire globe in its unprecedented scope.

Masterminded by former Dungeon and current Death Dealer guitarist/Producer Stu Marshall, Empires of Eden is characterized by a massive power metal sound, 30-piece orchestral score, and guest performances from some of the most celebrated musicians in the industry. Proving that neither oceans nor national boundaries are capable of stopping this explosive onslaught, Marshall has enlisted the participation of artists from all corners of the globe to assemble an army of veteran talent like no other.

2015 will bring us to “Architect of Hope”. The fourth album delivering nine head pounding tracks and featuring heavy Metal Legend, Ralf Scheepers (Primal fear).

Raising the standard yet again, Marshall has enlisted world wrecking stars like Rick Altzi (Masterplan), Mike Dimeo (Riot / Masterplan) and Jeff Martin (Racer X) just to highlight four of the amazing nine deep cast.

The 2012 release “Channelling the Infinite” raised the bar across the board in several categories of metal: symphonic, collaborative, progressive, melodic and generally ground breaking. The album received consistent scoring 9/10 or higher in reviews worldwide. In addition to Marshall's uncompromising compositional skills and technical guitar wizardry, the album was reinforced by vocalists who have earned their place in history, such as UDO Dirkschneider (Accept), Mike Dimeo (Riot / Masterplan) and Steve Grimmett (Grim Reaper / Lionsheart) to name just a few.

Compared to other collaborative projects of this kind, Empires of Eden is unique in the extent to which the guest vocalists are involved with the writing of the songs themselves. According to Marshall, although he tailors the instrumental backing to each singer's individual style and preferred range, "They are completely at liberty to write any lyrics they want, and they pen the vocal melodies themselves, too." Having so much artistic freedom not only increases the vocalists' enthusiasm for the project, but also enables them to deliver their best possible performances, unbounded by the usual constraints of the 'guest musician' format.

With lush, picturesque orchestral arrangements, bone-crushing riffs, kaleidoscopic soloing and spectacular vocal performances, Empires of Eden has developed a trademark sound that redefines the concept of epic.
