Väsby Rock Festival release three more acts that are ready for next year's festival. This time it's three Swedish bands featured.
Nubian Rose - the band should have played the festival back in the 2014, but for obvious reasons could not make it when singer Sofia Lilja Åkerlund was pregnant at the time and did not know if she was supposed to give birth in the middle of the gig or not. They will make their debut at Väsby Rock in 2015 instead.
2012 they released their debut album, Mountain, which spread like wildfire over the world, even though they only had a record deal for the Swedish market. With the new album “Mental Revolution” Nubian Rose has taken it to the next level. It's harder, heavier and edgier in every way. It is obvious that Nubian Roses roots are the same as before, but the music has taken some considerable steps forward.
M.O.B - the band from Stockholm, who since 1996 has released six albums and played all over Sweden. Their latest release from 2014 "Out From the Dark" delivers high-quality classic hard rock with both the drive and melodies. In the
winter of 2011, when the creation of "Out From the Dark" began, the singer Fredrik Notling was diagnosed with cancer in the throat. This stopped the bands plans for a considerable time, and the recording was finally able to resume in 2013. The record very much reflects the journey that Fredrik and the band has gone through, and as the title says, now M.O.B is out of the darkness and is once again ready to face the audience.
Rebel Road - a band formed in 2007 that is influenced by classic hard rock like AC / DC, Thin Lizzy and Black Sabbath but also has country influences. Their ambition is to combine rock and country, and they have succeeded. In 2009, these guys had the opportunity to participate in a radio promotional record in Nashville with the song “Keep On Keepin’ On”. Right now the band is in the process of finalizing a new record.
