The Ferrymen released their debut album in June 2017 and took fans of the European melodic metal sound by surprise as they seemingly came out of nowhere. With songwriting and fretwork handled by ace Swedish guitarist Magnus Karlsson (Primal Fear, Magnus Karlsson's Free Fall), the awesome vocals of singer Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, CoreLeoni), and drummer Mike Terrana (Axel Rudi Pell, Tarja, Rage) bringing the heavy metal thunder, the band quickly found their home in the hearts of fans of the classic DIO sound combined with heavier, updated songwriting textures and arrangements.
Musically, fans can expect in "A New Evil" a very heavy, melodic metal album fusing the songwriting and epic structures of the widely praised ALLEN/LANDE records (guitarist Magnus Karlsson was the main architect of the first three critically acclaimed releases) with the powerful vocal approach of Romero (let's not forget that Romero was hand-picked by legendary Deep Purple and Rainbow guitarist Ritchie Blackmore to be the lead vocalist for Rainbow's recent reunion shows). True heavy metal fans are of course quite familiar with the well regarded Terrana and what his drumming skill set brings to the table on a heavy metal album of this nature. And what metal album would be complete without some stunning artwork? Renowned artist Stan W. Decker's album cover rounds out this colossal heavy metal offering.

Working with Ronnie and Mike is a such a great experience. I can concentrate on the writing and whatever I will come up with I know they will nail it! This time Jacob Hansen (Pretty Maids, Volbeat, etc.) did the mix and it works really well with the heavy style.”

“When this band came together, we all felt a bit like broken souls, each with our own unique story,” he explains. “If you ask anyone in the band, they would all say this band came along at just the right time. Every human who walks this planet faces challenges and extreme adversity they have to overcome. As a band, we feel fortunate to be able to face those things together. There is a piece of every band member in the ‘The Death of Me’ as well as throughout the entire RISE album.”
The common thread to each song on RISE is the intuitive interplay between each member of #keiferband, a tight but loose collective that’s spent the last six-plus years on the road honing their live craft together in support of KEIFER’s critically acclaimed 2013 solo debut, THE WAY LIFE GOES. Guitarist LOU DIBELLO certainly showed the world he is most talented on the six-string with his previous album, ‘Heat Wave’ (which contained the rocking highlight, “Full Throttle”).

“I am excited to release the new album ‘American Hard Rock’! This record is both a logical progression, and a big step up from my last album ‘Heat Wave’,” explains DiBello. “Some of the highlights for me are the instrumental ‘Driving Force,’ with some of my hottest playing to date, and ‘Beast Mode: Engage featuring guest vocalist Carsten Schulz, and with bassist Mike LePond on both tunes. Other highlights are ‘The Nighttime Is The Right Time,’ ‘Walk Through The Fire,’ the bluesy ‘Love Is Blind,’ and my cover of Edgar Winter's ‘Frankenstein’ which I have been playing at live shows for years now.”
And it turns out that DiBello has been fine-tuning these new tracks on the concert stage. “Besides me singing lead on 5 of the 6 vocal tunes on ‘American Hard Rock,’ another big difference from ‘Heat Wave’ is that I have been performing almost all of these songs at live shows, and going into the recording process I had a much more complete idea of how the end product was going to be completed. From the final mix and master by Rolf Munkes in Germany, to the cover art and packaging which was a coordinated effort between myself, a graphic artist in NYC, and a local photographer and illustrator, I knew before I even began every step that would transpire. I even beat myself set deadline for completion by a week!”
DiBello is also an honors graduate from Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California, and has been a part of the Central Illinois music scene since the late ‘80s. He has also played over 2,500 paid performances (with 600 coming in last 5 years alone), as well as sharing the bill with the likes of .38 Special, Slaughter, LA Guns, Molly Hatchet, Foghat, Quiet Riot, Survivor, Black Crowes, Blue Oyster Cult, etc. And as a guitar teacher, DiBello has given over 25,000 private lessons, and started one of the first streaming guitar lesson websites.

He is one of the truest and most passionate Rock musicians of the last decades. And though time stood never still for Gotthard founding member and guitarist Leo Leoni.
CoreLeoni - he named his passion for big, timeless Classic Rock, for pure music nostalgy, added with a modern sound. On September 27th their second album ‘CoreLeoni II’ will be released.
Next to Gotthard songs from the early stage as well as two brand new tracks the album contains a cover of John Lee Hooker’s ‘Boom Boom Boom’.
Since the release of the first record that has simply been called ‘The Greatest Hits Part 1’, CoreLeoni has appeared as a transmitter between analog electric guitar and modern studio production. But CoreLeoni not only represent the music spirit of the early 90es, they also live the feeling that has been alive on, behind and in front of stage in these times: CoreLeoni is a high class band ensemble consisting of close friends and long-term colleagues that are next to Leo Leoni pioneering for that period and share a lot of memories with him.
Together with Rainbow-singer and Lords Of The Black founding member and ex-singer Ronnie Romero, Hena Habegger (drums, Gotthard), Jgor Gianola (guitar, ex-Gotthard/U.D.O./Jorn Lande) as well as Mila Merker (bass, Soulline) Leoni shows, that Classic Rock doesn ´t need to be old fashioned. Songs from the early Gotthard days are coming along in a completely new sound outfit.
On the second album coming out end of September, Leoni once more pays tribute to his passion for high class Rock music and brings back some good old Gotthard tracks to life.
With the exception of two songs as well as the John Lee Hooker cover it’s all Gotthard hits from the early days being translated to 2019.
‘Queen Of Hearts and ‘Don’t Get Me Wrong’ are the titles of the brand new tracks on the album, fitting perfectly into the other big Rock hymns.
Leoni had the idea to found CoreLeoni when Gotthard were celebrating their 25th anniversary. ‘When we play shows, we nowadays have to leave out a lot of the old songs as there are so many new ones that have to find their place in the setlist’, Leo explains. ‘But especially a lot of the old songs really mean a lot to me and will always be a big part of me. That’s why I decided to record them again and bring them back into the current times, also sound-wise.’
How good that works, CoreLeoni could prove during a tour last year. Press and fans have equally been enthusiastic about it. And also among the musicians it quickly became obvious: CoreLeoni needs to be continued.

The musician from Swiss part Tessin belongs to the best international Rock guitarists and is part of the most successful Swiss band Gotthard. Every studio album after the debut reached number 1 in the national charts, all albums have been rewarded with several platinum awards. Gotthard are also holding a rare diamond award for selling more than 1 million records in Switzerland only.
Guitarist Jgor Gianola has been part of Gotthard during the early days as well before he decided to move on to U.D.O., the current band of music legend and ex-Accept singer Udo Dirkschneider, as well as Norwegian Rockers Jorn Lande. Also drummer Hena Habegger is a founding member of Gotthard. Last year he fulfilled a big dream and opened a drum school in Tessin.
Singer Ronnie Romero has been born in Chile and has been the singer oft Spanish Rock band Lords Of The Black. Since 2016 he is part of Rainbow, the band of legendary Richie Blackmore. With this big step in his career a long-term dream has been fulfilled for him. Just some months ago he has been touring big stadiums with Rainbow and can look back to several admirable festival shows as well, such as Monsters Of Rock.
Bass player Mila Merker has been born in Swiss Bellinzona and is a long-term friend of Leo and Jgor. His own band is called Soulline, being well-known for playing a technical challenging form of Melodic Death Metal.
Chicago, IL – Legendary rock group, The Ides of March, will be releasing their 55th anniversary album, Play On, on August 16. Produced by Fred Mollin and The Ides, the album will feature 14 brand new songs, as well as a re-release of their platinum hit, “Vehicle”. The band originated in Berwyn, Illinois, in 1964 and is the world’s longest-performing rock band that still has all of its original members: Jim Peterik (lead vocals, lead guitar and piano), Larry Millas (guitar, bass, and vocals), Bob Bergland (bass, saxophone, and vocals), and Mike Borch (drums and vocals). The original four members for the last 30 years have been joined by Scott May (Hammond organ and vocals), Steve Eisen (woodwinds and percussion), Tim Bales (trumpet and Flugelhorn), and Henry Salgado (trombone).
“Vehicle” was an instant hit back in 1970 and became Warner Bros. fastest-selling single of all time. Other hit songs by the Ides include “L.A. Goodbye” and “You Wouldn’t Listen”, all penned by Grammy-winning front man, Jim Peterik. Peterik – a former member of Survivor - made his name as a songwriter with Sammy Hagar, The Beach Boys and 38 Special, but never left The Ides behind as they’ve continued their success over the last five and a half decades. With over 11,000 live performances, their music appeals to all generations, as they play to all ages and sold-out crowds across the country. In addition to playing Ides shows, the bandmates also participate in Jim Peterik’s World Stage and touring their PBS special featuring the hit bands of Chicago from the golden 60’s - Cornerstones of Rock.
Special guests on the album include: Mark Farner (former singer and guitarist of Grand Funk Railroad), David Pack (former Ambrosia front man), Paul Shaffer of David Letterman fame, Cathy Richardson (lead singer of Jefferson Starship), sax phenom Mindi Abair, Tom Doody of Chicago’s Cryan’ Shames, Bo Bice of American Idol fame and formerly of Blood Sweat & Tears, and blues- rock superstar Joe Bonamassa. The album will also be released in a deluxe, double-disc vinyl edition, which includes the original masters of the Parrot and Warner Brothers singles: Vehicle (1970), You Wouldn’t Listen (1966), One Woman Man (1969), Roller Coaster (1966), Flipside (1972), Superman (follow up to Vehicle - 1970), LA Goodbye (1971), Aire Of Good Feeling (1970).
Play On is a musical journey of The Ides’ friendship over the last 55 years, and impresses with the iconic sound that fans know and love. “Play On is the culmination of all that we’ve learned and all that we’ve dreamed in The Ides of March’s 55-year history as a band,” said Peterik. “With every mile we’ve traveled together, and the countless shows we’ve played, we’ve found the secrets that make our sound unique, and have tried to distill those elements into every track - the horns, the harmonies, and the songs of a band that is really a family on wheels - and music is our vehicle.”

Axe was formed in 1977 out of the ashes of “Babyface”, a Hard Rock band burdened with a top 20 hit... but on the Adult Contemporary Charts. The band was brought together by leader Bobby Barth. Pulling members from all over America to Gainesville Florida, where they lived in one house, wrote music, and practiced.
Axe was different in that the makeup of the band were all veterans of many years playing clubs and cover music, 4 lead singers, and all writers. Signing a deal before they ever played a gig. The band signed to MCA for 2 records, later on to Atco for 2 records, where they had success with the anthemic song Rock and Roll Party in the Streets” touring with almost every major act on the road. Judas Priest, Ozzy, Deep Purple, Kiss, Motley Crue, Cheap Trick, ZZ Top, and quickly became a touring staple in the arena rock world.
The upward momentum ended tragically in the summer of 1984 when Micheal Osborne and Bobby Barth were involved in an automobile accident where Osborne was killed and Barth received a broken neck, but was able to recover. Not having the heart to continue without his best friend Osborne, Axe ended that day and rested Until the 1990’s, Axe once again rose from the ashes to record “Five” their fifth record and then onto the Crown, 20 Years From Home Volume 1 and 2, an Axe Anthology “Axeology” a DVD live from Sweden Rock in 2012, and now finishing their final record "Axe - The Final Offeriing"
ROCKETT LOVE was founded in 2015 by singer Daniel Samuelsson and guitarist Stefan Westerlund. Fueled by mutual interest in 80’s melodic rock, the two began recording original material in Daniel’s home studio. With only one song on iTunes and Spotify and absolutely no commercial back-up they received a lot of radio time and a fully packed venue when playing their debut gig. The song “Rocket Love” took off with a big viral spin when Beau Hill picked-up the track at his studio and produced it.
A year of writing and recording went by and in 2017 ROCKETT LOVE finally released the full-length debut “Grab the Rocket” on AOR Heaven.
In the following time, they set up their own studio and named it Meganoise, and the recordings began in early 2018. The duo needed to cut down the material from twenty something to 11 songs. When the recordings were finished, the Swedes sent the material to Erik Mårtensson (ECLIPSE, WET) to mix it.
ROCKETT LOVE now returns with the brand new CD on AOR Heaven called “Greetings from Rocketland” on August 30th, 2019. The band's second album contains 11 new tracks including the highlights “King for one day”, “Back on my feet” and the power ballad “Take me home”.

Born In Rigside, Lanarkshire, Scotland, Anderson's first Rock band was in 1978, singing mainly Rush & Deep Purple songs, and so his passion for 'Classic Rock' had begun. The next few years brought many hours of practise and to Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale & Ronnie James Dio for inspiration. He began writing songs and formed the Rock band 'Sahara' whilst spending any spare time attending a gazzillion gigs at the Legendary 'Glasgow Apollo' till it closed in 1985.
Various incarnations of the band ensued including a name change to "The Hardline" until they were picked-up by 'Wet Wet Wet's manager Elliott Davis and offered a management contract on the strength of a demo tape. Showcasing his phenomenal voice, 5 years of recording demo's, touring, notable sell out gigs at Glasgow's King Tut's, London's 'Borderline Club' and a support to Wet Wet Wet in front of 30,000 people at Glasgow Green followed. The singer continued writing, performing and recording, appearing on Michael Barrymore's National Television shows ' My Kind of People' & 'Barrymore' in 1997/98 and went on to sing at concerts & festivals in Cyprus, Romania, Turkey and Holland.
Living now in York, Anderson has continued writing and moved on to spend four years as lead vocalist with tribute band 'A Foreigners Journey' and toured extensively in the UK and Rhodes. Meeting new friends along the way, and his voice just got better and better so a decision was made to leave "A Foreigners Journey" and the next adventure started. His latest side project is a tribute to great American Melodic Rock with some great musicians and friends called "Legends of AOR". Their debut gig was in Spain in front of a crowd of Rhodes Rockers. The festival has now moved to Cyprus where ‘Legends of AOR’ have performed for the last 3 years.
In 2015 Jimi finally realized his dream and released an album of original songs recorded at FML studios in Motherwell, Scotland with Producer/Engineer/Musicians Sandy Jones and Greame Duffin, and over the last 4 years has taken his music on the road up & down the UK. So the Jimi Anderson Group was born. The album titled ‘Longtime Comin’ was released in 2017.
On August 30th, 2019 the follow-up release “I Belong” will hit the shelves – the first record on AOR Heaven. Like it’s predecessor ‘I Belong’ was recorded at FML with Sandy Jones at the helm. Jimi, Sandy & Greame performed most of the music. This time however ace guitarist ‘David Cuthbert’ features on quite a few of the tracks including ‘Wonderful Tokyo Nights’, ‘Fearless Warrior’ & ‘I’m A Believer’ to name a few, including the beautiful ballad title track, ‘I Belong’.
Even though the self-titled ALIEN debut is 31 years old now it has lost nothing of its magic. In particular the two anthems “Only One Woman” and “Tears Don’t Put Out The Fire” are still a wet dream for any AOR fan.
This digitally remastered reissue contains the original Scandinavian version with Jim Jidhed on vocals as well as the later US-version with new singer Pete Sandberg on vocals on some songs.
Furthermore the re-release contains the two bonus tracks “Feel My Love” and “Touch My Fire” which make this album even more essential.

2019 marks the 30th anniversary of THE CULT's seminal album SONIC TEMPLE. To celebrate the anniversary, Beggars Arkive will release THE CULT: SONIC TEMPLE 30 on September 13. It will be released as a deluxe box set and a 5-CD set, plus the label will reissue a Sonic Temple on Double LP, which has been out of print for over 20 years. The sets both contain limited-release demos in addition to previously unreleased tracks. (Full details and track-listings are below.) Preorders are available here.
The band is also happy to announce more A Sonic Temple tour dates. After a run of hugely successful and completely sold-out U.S. West Coast tour dates, they will play 10 shows in the UK in October (dates below).
Originally released in 1989, Sonic Temple proved to be a pivotal moment for both the band and the wider rock scene. Produced by the legendary Bob Rock, Sonic Temple had four chart-topping singles: "Fire Woman," "Edie (Ciao Baby),' "Sun King" and "Sweet Soul Sister."
In a recent interview about the album, Ian Astbury explained how the band brought together hard rock and indie rock to create the unique, game-changing sounds on Sonic Temple. "We wanted to retain our core DNA as we went deeper into psych and hard rock influences. It was a complete immersion for me into art, film, music, poetry and literature, weaving those influences into what was to become Sonic Temple. The band was becoming more popular. We were in uncharted waters. Most of the bands we had come up with had split up or fallen off. We were accelerating. There was no real time to breathe. We were forming new allegiances and breaking the glass ceiling of 'the indie outsider.'"
The album catapulted THE CULT into superstar status and remains their most commercially successful release. It has sold over 1.5 million copies in the U.S. alone and was certified platinum in 1990. It made it to #10 on the Billboard charts, and the aforementioned songs all remain rock-radio staples to this day.
The set list for the "A Sonic Temple" tour draws from THE CULT's 10 studio albums with the centerpiece being a super set that's focused on the core songs from Sonic Temple; some of these songs have not been performed since the album was originally released. Each show will be a gathering and celebration for CULT fans--an opportunity to come together for one night--an event that will be memorable for all who attend. As Billy Duffy stated about the tour in a recent interview, "I'd like fans to not only allow themselves a little indulgence into maybe simpler happier times of the late 80s for a few hours at a ST19 show, but also be happy that the music is now really their possession, not ours, and to do with it what they will."
The BOX SET contains three pieces of vinyl and a cassette plus tour memorabilia and ephemera (replica of original laminate, backstage pass, original press releases, label copy and more). It's numbered and limited to 3000 pieces worldwide and contains 40 tracks, four of which were previously unreleased. LP1+2 contain the album as originally released. LP3 contains "Live At Wembley" recorded by the BBC, and the included cassette contains limited-release demos. Four of the live tracks are also previously unreleased.
The FIVE-CD SET contains 53 tracks (including 6 previously unreleased) with the original album on disc 1, alternate edits, mixes, extended versions and acoustic versions on disc 2, limited-release demos on discs 3 and 4 and "Live at Wembley" recorded by the BBC on disc 5. Six of the live tracks are previously unreleased. It is beautifully packaged in book form with rare photographs and interviews with the band by esteemed UK journalist James Brown.
The DOUBLE LP is a re-vamped reissue of the original album. Now cut onto two pieces of black vinyl, the audio is improved and contains 16 tracks total, which comprise the original album plus six B-sides. It's been out of print for over 20 years.
The DIGITAL version will replicate the CD-set but excludes the original album for a total of 43 tracks.

FICTION SYXX is the brain child of songwriter/vocalist/guitarist, Mark Allen Lanoue. But like all ideas, including musical ones, it is not just about the writing; it is about the delivery. So, after writing the first song called “Welcome to my Nightmare” for this new musical journey, Mark started talking with friend and multi-talented musician/songwriter/producer, JK Northrup (KING KOBRA, XYZ) about starting a project that would be framed around a core of members.
It’s 30 years of Thunder this year, so we’ve decided to release the first ever band curated Greatest Hits compilation on September 27.
