AXEL RUDI PELL Prepares His 'Game Of Sins' For January

- New Album "Game Of Sins" out January 15th 2016 (USA January 22nd 2016) -

It was to be the highlight of his career. And it is. When Axel Rudi Pell celebrated his first 25 years as a solo artist with a 3-hour-plus show in Balingen/Germany on 11 July 2014, he not only awed the 15,000 fans in front of the stage. Released on 24 April 2015, the live recording of this once-in-a-lifetime concert entitled “Magic Moments” went straight to # 1 in the German and Swedish DVD charts, # 4 in Switzerland, # 7 in Austria, and # 17 in the Netherlands. Anybody expecting Axel to rest on his laurels after that spectacular feat doesn’t know the man and his work ethic.

Already collecting ideas in the summer of 2014, he ensconced himself in the studio again in fall 2015. “Everything went according to plan,” he smiles. So nothing went wrong? Nothing new on the ARP front? Again, the objective observer doesn‘t know Axel. Anyone assuming that he would invite his numerous festival guests on his next studio album for another anniversary celebration knows nothing about the man. ARP can do it on his own. And he wants to do it on his own. “I never even thought of having guest musicians on this album,” he explains. And why should he? Since Bobby Rondinelli (ex-Rainbow/Black Sabbath/Blue Öyster Cult) joined the ARP fold in 2013, the band sounds tighter than ever because Bobby fits like a glove“. Pell pooints out that Rondinelli is the perfect drummer who always knows exactly what to play; on “Game Of Sins” even more so than on the predecessor album “Into The Storm” (released in 2014, # 5 in Germany). So it comes as no surprise that Axel’s 16th studio recording featuring original material is a definite winner. “Everybody involved agrees,” he grins. “There’s not a single filler on the album.” Which apparently was not the case on some of his previous offerings, as he admits with a smirk. “Game Of Sins” is way harder, grittier, the songwriting even more accomplished, experience meeting excellence again.

Especially sound-wise, ARP appears to have made a quantum leap: “Looking back, I have to admit that the drums on the last album stayed too much in the background,” a fact which has changed for the better: they sound much fuller and much more aggressive this time around and have been adapted to suit the new songs. Having said that, this album is a must-have not only for air drummers riff fetishists and solo aficionados will also love ARP’s new material. And it’s no secret that vocalist Johnny Gioeli counts among the best of his profession. All in all, “Game Of Sins” presents a band at the peak of its powers. Although the sleeve and the intro “Lenta Fortuna” (Latin for bad luck) may suggest that this is a concept album about gambling it is not. “Game Of Sins” is ARP at his best: the sirens in the metallic opener “Fire” are a perfect wake-up call, “Sons In The Night” with its “Sons Of Anarchy”-inspired lyrics pays tribute to the NWOBHM. The title track is the longest number on the album, nine minutes of those epic structures and Arabian scales which Pell is so fond of. “Falling Star” once again refers to the early 80s.

Is there an ARP album without a ballad? They may well be one day, but as long as Axel writes beautiful specimen such as “Lost In Love”, there’s bound to be one. Among the recording’s highlights features “The King Of Fools” with its his five minutes of pure emotion, a perfect symbiosis between steeliness and melody, with an unbelievable performance by Gioeli, but don’t forget to listen to Axel’s guitars on the verses! “Till The World Says Goodbye” again presents Pell in his element: an epic, almost dark and doomy ballad, a moving soundtrack for the Judgment Day. “Breaking The Rules” is another melodic rock song, before the regular album finishes with a slow number called “Forever Free”. But the crowning glory is included in the Digipak format: ARP is the first musician to successfully deliver a real hard-rocking version of the almighty Bob Dylan/Jimi Hendrix classic “All Along The Watchtower”; which has been his heart’s desire for a long time, as Axel explains. “That song is far from easy to arrange, but the result is definitely worth the effort.” Or, to be more precise: “Everything went according to plan.” What more can you ask? “Game Of Sins” is doubtlessly another highlight in ARP’s career. And there are many more to come.

Frontiers Music Srl is excited to present to the world the talents of another newcomer from the cold lands of Finland - introducing KING COMPANY!

Formerly known as No Man`s Land, KING COMPANY features some well known names and faces of the finnish Hard Rock and Metal scene, including Pasi Rantanen (Thunderstone) on vocals, Antti Wirman (Warmen) on guitars, Jari Pailamo on keyboards, Time Schleifer on bass and Mirka Rantanen (Kotipelto, Thunderstone) on drums.

But it's not about the names here, but more about the music really. Excited with the first bunch of songs that were presented to the label, Frontiers' President Serafino Perugino pretty much signed them after first listen! Judge yourself after hearing the grandiose Melodic Hard Rock sound of these two demo tracks:

"Shining":  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yziwY6wRDM

The band says: "From the beginning our dream was to get a deal from Frontiers, because not only there are so many legendary rock bands in the same label, but most importantly they are really focused on our style of classic and melodic hard rock music, says drummer Mirka Rantanen. We feel that at Frontiers they really know how to push this kind of music for the people, they really like every band they have signed, and do this with a big heart like we do. Together we can show to the world that classic hard rock - or heavy rock, how ever you want name it - isn`t really dead yet, it`s still alive and kickin'! We are looking forward for the cooperation with Frontiers Records and can$B!-(Jt wait to begin this chapter. It will be a great moment to release our first album, so stay tuned guys, spread the word and follow us on Facebook and Twitter. One for the road dudes!"

DECEMBER PEOPLE Tour 2015 - Thanksgiving to Christmas
New CD - December People - A Classic Rock Christmas

While many rock stars spend their down time from touring luxuriating on beautiful
beaches in warm climates, notables from a few multi-platinum selling records and world
tours are spending their holidays on the road to advocate for local food pantries and
fundraising during the months of November and December. Their mission is to raise
awareness for local hunger in heartland and urban cities across the United States and the
critical needs and challenges local food banks face to carry on the good work in their
communities.

This is the purpose and the reason that December People was formed a few years ago by
rocker, Grammy nominee and studio owner/producer Robert Berry. He enlisted some of
his likeminded, kindhearted fellow rockers and formed a band! They are the
DECEMBER PEOPLE!

Quite simply, they take the music of Christmas and perform the songs in the high-energy
style of rock n' roll bands that everyone knows? That's the December People!
Imagine this mashup: "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" + Billy Idol's "White
Wedding." That's the December People!

The members include classic rockers Gary Pihl, the superb guitarist for BOSTON.
Sammy Hagar's extraordinary drummer David Lauser, The Tubes' amazing keyboardist
David Medd, soloist Jack Foster and founder Robert Berry, lead singer and bassist who
performs and records with Hagar and Keith Emerson & Carl Palmer. DECEMBER
PEOPE are embarking on a concert tour November 21- December 25 that takes them to
Michigan, Kansas and California for ten shows taking place in November and December
in 2015.

The live shows incorporate choirs, drum lines other local flavor to create a most family
friendly holiday event called "A Classic Rock Christmas."
Over the years, December People concerts have raised tons of food, raised awareness for
hunger and united volunteers with generous locals with worthy local organizers.
The December People's "Classic Rock Christmas" tour collected a ton of food for a local food pantry.
Pictured here with Food Bank volunteers after last years concert at the Topeka Performing Arts Center the
band is returning for a show on November 21, 2015.

RESURRECTION KINGS Debut Album out in January 2016 on Frontiers

Release Year:
2015
Friday, January 29, 2016

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the highly anticipated self-titled debut album from RESURRECTION KINGS on January 29.

Today the band releases the first video from the new project for the song “Who Did You Run To”. The video can be viewed below:

Digital pre-orders for the album are available now and include an instant download of "Who Do You Run To". Get yours here: http://radi.al/ResurrectionKings

RESURRECTION KINGS is a new band centered around the talents of former DIO and GIUFFRIA guitar player, Craig Goldy. Everything starts from a set of demos he recorded with singer Chas West, a guy with an unbelievable set of pipes, who has worked with such bands as the JASON BONHAM BAND, FOREIGNER, LYNCH MOB, TRIBE OF GYPSIES, and 3 LEGGED DOGG.

It all started five years ago when Craig Goldy asked me to get together to write,” says Chas. Out of those demo sessions, the song “Livin’ Out Loud” in particular strongly impressed Frontiers' President, Serafino Perugino who asked Craig to build up a project/band around that musical concept. He also suggested Sean McNabb for bass (LYNCH MOB, DOKKEN, QUIET RIOT), while Craig later brought in former DIO bandmate Vinny Appice on drums.

“Serafino wanted to make an album with famous musicians from the 80’s and I was flabbergasted when he asked me to participate” says Craig Goldy. “We’ve all know each other for a long time and it was a pleasure to work with everyone – my God with Chas, Sean and Vinny that’s a killer line-up!”

Frontiers in-house writer and producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (Revolution Saints, Hardline, Rated X) offered his services to the band and wrote (or co-wrote with Goldy) a few tracks to round up the material that was available. “He is a great songwriter, producer, musician and singer” says Goldy, “some of the demo versions already had vocals and everything else. So all we did was learn the songs and did them our way. When Sean and Vinny got hold of these songs they really came alive and gave me automatic inspiration to write and perform on top of what was already written”.

The resulting album is an impressive example of Classic Hard rock with a contemporary production and edge. Think Whitesnake “1987” mixed with DIO’s “Dream Evil”, with a touch of classic Zeppelin and Rainbow and you will not be far from the end result. An extremely strong record where the musicians are able to stretch their wings and please their numerous fans!

Tracklisting includes: Distant Prayer; Livin' Out Loud; Wash Away; Who Did You Run To; Fallin' For You; Never Say Goodbye; Path Of Love; Had Enough; Don't Have To Fight No More; Silent Wonder; What You Take.

This week on the Double Stop Podcast is a rare interview with Dave Wittman, who Engineered a boatload if records in the 70's and 80's.

Dave Wittman discusses his career as a Recording Engineer. From meeting Jimi Hendrix as a teenager, and his first job with Eddie Kramer, to working in the studio with KISS (and the Van Halen demos with Gene Simmons), Peter Frampton, Foreigner, Billy Idol and much, much more. He also discusses the change in the music industry with Grunge, and his work with Trans-Siberian Orchestra both in studio and on the road. This episode features guest co-host Greg Renoff author of the new book Van Halen Rising.

On Engineering early KISS demos 27:30 “Eddie (Kramer) and I did the first demo that got KISS their record deal. They came in and did the classic Cold Gin, Deuce, Strutter - that kind of thing, and we just went in one afternoon and did the kind of did the Beatles thing. The four track to four track to four track kind of thing. That was one of the first things that Eddie trusted me with - with him looking over my shoulder."

On Mixing the Gene Simmons Van Halen Demo's 28:25 “Eddie (Kramer) brought in the multi-track tape - it included Runnin’ with the Devil. I didn't actually know who it was at the time, I just knew I loved that song.”

On working with Led Zepplin 34:20 "I got to work on the mixing of Houses of the Holy, and the movie soundtrack The Song Remains the Same. And they used my Marshal top on that, by the way. They needed a Marshal top to do an overdub at 2 in the morning, and I lived around the corner so I went home and got it."
