Greek rockers Raw Silk release their new album 'The Borders Of Light' April 27 on Fame Of Poets Records.

Raw Silk burst onto the Greek and European A.O.R. scene in the 90s with the legendary debut album 'Silk Under the Skin'. The new album, entitled 'The Borders of Light', is a modern take on the classic metal sound of the late 80s featuring 10 brand new tracks with a total running time of over 60 minutes. Seamlessly bridging past and present, 'The Borders of Light' delivers strong melodies combined with signature keyboard lines and heavy riffs. The new JD Miller record ’World War X’ sounds like the musical child bred by Eclipse and Evergrey. If you like melodic, guitar driven rock fronted by edgy vocals and soaring harmonies all wrapped up in modern production - JD Miller is your thing!

World War X’ was recorded at Studio Haga and Studio Berghem in Sweden by JD Miller themselves. The album was mixed by former member Christian Svedin as he understands the sound of JD Miller, and it was mastered by one of Swedens true audio greats in Thomas ’Plec’ Johansson at ‘The Panic Room’.

"We are super exited to be a part of the Mighty Music family and we feel like they are a perfect fit for us. 'World War X' is a great melodic hard-rock album that we are really proud of and that we have slaved over for the last 2 years. It's the first record featuring our new line-up with Chris, Alex and Elias who joined during the recording process. We hope that the listeners will love the feel and sound of the album as we gear up to get out on the road to meet them." - JD Miller

"World War X" is the follow up to the 2014 critically acclaimed "Grand Intentions" that got a 9 out of 10 in Rock Hard by Stefan Glas and mentioned JD Miller when he summed up the best from his music year in 2014: ”In Sweden, JD Miller made crunchy hard rock with ’Grand Intentions’ which has an awesome groove”.

Out April 28.

Swiss hard rock band Sideburn will release their new album #EIGHT on Fastball Music / SOULFOOD on May 5th. Prior to the album release the first single "Turn Away" will come out on March 17th. Check out the official video clip of the song here:

SIDEBURN - "#Eight" [release album: 2017-05-05]
With "#EIGHT" the Swiss rock band SIDEBURN release their literal eighth album following musical contributions to several Hollywood productions in the past like "Wolverine" (Six Feet Under), the show "24" and the trailer to the movie "Hit & Run" with Bradley Cooper.

In recent years, they supported bands like Kiss, Def Leppard, Dio, Motörhead, Ted Nugent, Airborne, Gotthard, Doro and Uriah Heep on stage. The band proved to be firmly established as a live band at the three-hour event "ADIDAS Rockstar" in 2012 for which they even produced the song "Rockstar" on special request by ADIDAS.

The international success so far can be attributed to the crisp hard rock sound, somewhere between ZZ Top, AC/DC and pure rock'n'roll, and the right feeling for catchy choruses flourishing again on the new album with simple ease and resulting in over 30,000 sold albums by now.

With their new album, SIDEBURN also celebrate their 20th anniversary and are able to look back on an impressive band history which is nowhere near its end. The new album is accompanied by the first single "Turn Away" which will be pre-released together with a video clip, as well as several shows being scheduled in spring and sommer.

QUIET RIOT To Re-Record “Road Rage” With New Vocalist James Durbin

Artist:

Following the departure of singer Seann Nicols from Quiet Riot, both Frontiers Music Srl and band leader Frankie Banali have made the joint decision to delay the release of the new Quiet Riot album, “Road Rage” until later this summer.

Both the band and label feel that in order to truly represent Quiet Riot’s lineup, new lead singer James Durbin should be the vocalist on “Road Rage.” In order to execute that plan and promote the album accordingly, and with the full support of the label, the band will go back into the studio and record the album with Durbin on vocals to ensure that they deliver the album that Quiet Riot fans have been patiently waiting for and truly deserve.

Regarding the critically important decision to re-record with new Quiet Riot vocalist James Durbin, Banali said, “After careful consideration, with the support of Frontiers and understanding the appeals from Quiet Riot fans to have our vocalist James Durbin represented on the new Quiet Riot release, we have made the decision to move forward and have James replace all the vocals on “Road Rage” with new lyrics and melodies for a summer 2017 release. Stay tuned!”

While the new Quiet Riot album will be slightly delayed as a result of the re-recording process, the Quiet Riot faithful can rest assured that the resulting album will be well worth the brief wait.

Famously known as the first heavy metal band to top the pop charts, the Los Angeles quartet became a global sensation thanks to their monstrous smash hit 1983 album, “Metal Health.” The band now continues their historic journey in 2017 with founding member of the 1983 Metal Health era of QUIET RIOT drummer Frankie Banali, veteran bassist Chuck Wright (who has been in and out of QUIET RIOT since 1982) and guitarist Alex Grossi (who has been handling his duties since 2004).

Frankie Banali's history with QUIET RIOT spans over 34 years and he has the distinction of being the only member of QUIET RIOT to have recorded on every single QUIET RIOT release from 1983’s METAL HEALTH through 2017’s “Road Rage”. After nearly ten years since the loss of his friend and co-founding member and bandmate Kevin DuBrow, and with careful consideration, soul searching and with the blessings and support of Kevin DuBrow's family, Frankie has moved forward with the band.
