Athens-based Alternative Metal band Ghost Season have announced their first full length album titled "Like Stars In A Neon Sky".
The ten-track album will arrive on September 15th on CD and Digital release.
Like Stars In A Neon Sky follows the band’s EP "Ghosts Like Her" on 2014 and the single "Break My Chains" of December in 2015.
It also marks the debut album of Ghost Season newly lineup with Helen Nota as the drummer of the band.

The first look at the LP comes with the video for the song “Fade Away”. Though Ghost Season now operate as a four-piece, the physical absence of the second guitarist goes sonically unnoticed - their metal-soaked sound remains firmly intact. The album was mixed and mastered by Nick Christolis (guitarist of the band) along with the vocalist J.Loren Wince of the American-based Alternative Rock band HURT not only co-producing it but showing the band different directions and perspectives and getting involved in every single song.
The same day Ghost Season will release their new video clip for the song "Fade Away". The album will also contain a cover of Savage Garden’s “Break Me Shake Me”.

"Like Stars In A Neon Sky" tracklist:

Fade Away
Sons Of Yesterday
Break My Chains
The High Way
Of Hearts And Shadows
The Mirror
Just A Lie
The Vampire
War Of Voices
Break Me Shake Me

HALEN HUNGRY? ROTH SERVES UP “EAT’EM & SMILE”

Heard you missed us, well we’re back! “Dave & Dave Unchained” - Van Halen podcast returns with episode 4 celebrating the 30th anniversary of David Lee Roth’s 1986 solo album, “Eat’em & Smile.”

At a time when Van Halen didn’t sound very Van Halen, Roth opted to head in the big rock direction VH was known for mixed with a bit of his “Crazy from the Heat” style added in for good measure. Roth hired gunslingers Steve Vai on guitar and Billy Sheehan on bass with Gregg Bissonette behind the drum kit. The videos were wild and colorful and the live show was packed with Van Halen hits.

The Daves discuss the launch of Roth’s band, the “Eat’em & Smile” tour and breakdown the album song-by-song. There’s also an exclusive interview with Vai, who looks back on his “Eat’em & Smile” days, why the band changed direction with the next album “Skyscraper” and even opened up about the “Eat’em & Smile” reunion that almost happened and might still happen. To cap things off, the cast concludes with part 2 of the interview with “Van Halen Rising” author Greg Renoff who talks about his massive “Eat’em & Smile” article he wrote for Guitar World, Roth’s botched movie and the awkward position DLR is currently in these days.

Sit down with a bottle of anything and a glazed donut while enjoying this firecracker of an episode!

Frontiers Music Announce The Signing of Dario Mollo's CROSSBONES

Categories:
News Feed

Best known for his partnerships in the The Cage with Tony Martin (ex-Black Sabbath) and Voodoo Hill with Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion, Deep Purple, California Breed), Italian guitarist Dario Mollo began his career in 1981 with the band Crossbones. With them, he released his first studio album in 1989, which was produced by Kit Woolven (Thin Lizzy, Magnum and UFO, among others) before getting involved in the production side of things himself.

'This new project, "CrossBones" was created with the intent to pay homage to the band from where it all started," says Dario. For the occasion, he brought back the drummer of the original lineup, Ezio Secomandi together with his regular collaborator Dario Patti on bass and keyboards.

The choice for the singer is Carl Sentance (Nazareth, Don Airey Band, Persian Risk, Krokus), who came at the suggestion of Don Airey of Deep Purple, during a recent visit to Dario's home. 'This album includes the best of all the experience I gathered in my career in music and in artistic production,' concludes Dario. The quality of the material he recorded is witness to that.

The album is planned for release towards the end of 2016, with tour dates to follow.

Lou Gramm, Mick Jones Recall 1981 Album of the Year, Foreigner 4

Dallas, TX - July 7, 2016.  North American syndicated Rock radio show and website InTheStudio with Redbeard: The Stories Behind History’s Greatest Rock Bands  visits with Lou Gramm and Mick Jones for the 35th anniversary of Foreigner’s most significant album, Foreigner 4.  The Album of the Year in 1981, it was # 1 seller on the American charts for ten weeks, producing the hits “Waiting For A Girl Like You”, “Urgent”, the rocker “Night Life” , and the classic “Jukebox Hero”.

In the late1970s the band Foreigner seemed destined to become a classic case of too much, too soon. The band’s first, 1977’s Foreigner and then Double Vision in 1978, were multi-platinum hits of unprecedented proportions and Foreigner entered the Rock and Roll arena as a full blown star. It was heady stuff, to be sure, but that kind of rapid success is often a recipe for quick decline as well.

For Foreigner the critical point came after their third album Head Games which was released in 1979. Head Games didn’t do as well as the first two albums, and the six Foreigner band members started to blame each other, resulting in departure of two of Foreigner’s original members. There were serious questions as to whether the remaining four should continue as the band Foreigner. In the end Mick Jones, Lou Gramm, Rick Wills and Dennis Elliott decided to forge ahead, making their most successful album ever. Mick Jones, Foreigner’s founder and lead guitarist, and former singer, songwriter Lou Gramm reflect with InTheStudio host Redbeard, on the crisis and eventual vindication that marked Foreigner 4

“We started to rehearse for the 4 album. I was so frustrated because I felt that the direction of the band was getting so diverse, with everybody wanting to express themselves... I wasn’t hogging the writing. I was ready to be challenged by anybody else’s ideas, and as far as I was concerned the objective was to achieve a great album...and I was pretty strong minded about it.”  -  Mick Jones

“It was only after a week in the studio that the kind of undercurrent and dissatisfaction came to a head and the changes were made, or I think the band would have fallen apart right in the studio.” - Lou Gramm

AOR Heaven Next Releases Announced: DANTE FOX & MISS BEHAVIOUR

Germany based label AOR HEAVEN will release the new album “Breathless” by DANTE FOX on August 26 and “Ghost Play”, the new album from Swedish Melodic Rock sensation MISS BEHAVIOUR on September 2.

Product: Miss Behaviour - Ghost Play
Release date: 02.09.2016

10 years after releasing their debut album Heart of Midwinter, Miss Behaviour is back with their 4th studio album Ghost Play. With Ghost Play the band is ready to take their career to the next level.

The breakthrough came with the album Last Woman Standing (2011). In spring 2011 Miss Behaviour competed in Swedish national radio with the song Till we meet again, making the premiere live performance with the current lineup in front of 400.000 radio listeners. Late 2011 the album Last Woman Standing won the Melodic.net ”Best AOR album of 2011” readers poll, and got fantastic reviews from magazines such as Classic Rock (UK), Sweden Rock Magazine (SE) and more. UK Magazine Classic Rock picked Cynthia as one of the best tracks in 2011, and featured the song on the compilation Classic Rock Buzz.

The band promoted Last Woman Standing with two successful tours in the UK, 2011 and 2012.

The follow up album to Last Woman Standing, entitled Double Agent was released in August 2014 on AOR Heaven. Once again the reviews were great - Classic Rock, Sweden Rock Magazine and Aftonbladet (SE) all praised - and this also earned them a slot on Stockholm Rocks Festival in November.

Ghost Play
Together with producer Patrik Magnusson (Crashdiet, Mick Mars among others), Miss Behaviour spent the entire 2015 writing and recording. Ghost Play is classic hard rock, with a great production and a great variety of songs. Everything is presented in a way that always been the essence of Miss Behaviour. Great melodies are in focus. This time it is presented, however, with a more powerful sound.

Dante Fox were formed in September 1989 by lead Vocalist Sue Willetts  She was quickly joined by guitarist Tim Manford and this created a golden partnership.
On the strength of their songs Dante Fox caught the interest of Linda Bruce from Rich Bitch Studio’s and a debut album was now a reality. Following this an appearance on ITV television show ‘Hit The Town’ hosted by Rory McGrath launched the sounds of Lost And Lonely Heart through televisions all around the UK.

Dante Fox signed to Now and Then Records in March 1996 and in May they appeared on the Gods line up next to Hugo and Jamie Kyle. In October 1996 the debut Under Suspicion was released. Many shows followed including a support tour with ELO, Enuff Z Nuff and European festivals such as Mindview and Aardshock. Capitalising on this European interest the band returned to Holland for more headline shows. In April 1997 Under Suspicion was released in Japan and received a 87/100 review in BURRN magazine.

The Second album The Fire Within was released on Frontiers Records in March 1999. The album included current live favourites Under The City Lights, Firing My Heart and the dance floor hit Remember.  In Japan Firing My Heart and Over You were added to the playlist of Masa Itoh’s Heavy Metal syndicate radio show. The band closed the year with an appearance at the Gods and also the backing band for Stan Bush.

The band took a break and returned in 2005, with a slot at Firefest and a UK tour support to Vixen.
The Third album ‘Under The Seven Skies’ was released worldwide on Frontiers Records in March 2007 featuring the nine minute epic title track. The album was voted best album of 2007 by the listeners of ARFM Radio and the band continued to support the album by playing shows with Danny Vaughn and Wigwam.

The Fourth album Lost Man’s Ground released in October 2012 at the band’s appearance at Firefest. This featured a new rhythm section Andy Perfect (Drums) and Alan Mills (Bass), and also Alessandro Del Vecchio on backing vocals and Eric Ragno on keyboards.
In June 2012 a magical night was experienced opening for US band Night Ranger in London. This year ended with a much anticipated performance at Firefest and a great slot at Hard Rock Hell.

ICONIC EYE Release "In A Broken Dream" Single

We are pleased to release on behalf of Iconic Eye the wonderful cover of the Python Lee Jackson classic "In A Broken Dream"

Greg Dean Said " When we recorded our current album "Hidden in Plain Sight", we realised that we are a new band and that people would need a cover song so that they could work out if they wanted to hear more; and to allow us to appeal to mainstream radio which may then lead to a bigger impact on the market.

Our singer, Tim, joined the band part way through the recording and this song was his suggestion. "In a Broken Dream", by Python Lee Jackson is an epic cross-over song, and was also covered by Thunder; so the pedigree of the song is a given".

Tim felt that this song gave a great opportunity to show off all aspects of the band but in particular his voice, which after all is what attracts people to want to hear more. It has turned out to be a favourite live and we hope that its release on Monday 4th July allows the band to attract many new listeners.

You can buy the single on iTunes or if you prefer a physical copy of the album it is available here: http://www.iconiceyemusic.com/store1/
