Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of LIONVILLE's third album, 'A World Of Fools' on February 24, 2017.
Born as a project dedicated to pure AOR with a touch of Westcoast and melodic rock, LIONVILLE draw musical inspiration from acts like Toto, Richard Marx, Giant, Bad English, Survivor Band, and Boulevard. The band was started by Stefano Lionetti, a songwriter, singer, and guitarist based in Genova, Italy and his brother Alessandro. After years of playing the local club circuit of Genova, Stefano formed LIONVILLE Official with the encouragement and help of Pierpaolo 'Zorro' Monti (Shining Line) and Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Revolution Saints, Ted Poley, etc.). With the involvement of singer Lars Safsund (Work of Art), LIONVILLE quickly took shape and became something very near and dear to everyone involved.
With two critically acclaimed releases - which came out in 2011 and 2012 ' Lionville managed to find their place in the European melodic rock scene while also appearing at Firefest in Nottingham in 2012. With their combination of rockin' AOR tunes and classic Westcoast AOR sounds, Lionville piqued the interest of Frontiers, who signed the band in early 2016.
'It's a very important record for LIONVILLE, since we are coming back after four years of silence,' says Stefano Lionetti. 'I really wanted to make happy all the fans who waited so long for it. As a producer and songwriter I have done my best to create a high class record, but with the right variety. You will find classic Melodic Rock songs, a couple of ballads, songs in the style of the previous record and of course a lot of attention on the arrangements. I also wanted to have more of a band feel with this record and I am very proud of the final result.'
'These songs have been fun to sing and they're really good,' adds Lars Safsund.
Recorded by a gifted cast of experienced studio cats and upcoming talents and produced by Stefano Lionetti, the new album, 'A World Of Fools' finds a winning combination of very strong songwriting (courtesy also of Robert Sall, Alessandro Del Vecchio, Bruce Gaitsch, Soren Kronkvist, Gianluca Firmo, Thomas Vikstrom, and Ida West) and stellar musical performances, crowned by impressive lead vocals and an album mix that gives space to all the significant little details.
The LIONVILLE team has high hopes that people will embrace their vision of a reinvigorated musical genre and everyone is looking forward to continuing the LIONVILLE story with another awesome contribution to melodic rock music.

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of British hard rockers CITY OF THIEVES to the label for the release of the band's new full length album in 2017!
Since making their live debut at Camden Rocks Festival in May, the buzz has been spreading about City of Thieves 'no frills, no messin' around, no gimmicks' it is heavy rock in it's purest form and will send you running straight to the front of the stage with no-nonsense sledgehammer riffs, hooks and melodies.
Working with acclaimed artist and producer Toby Jepson (Little Angels, The Answer, Wayward Sons), City Of Thieves frontman/bassist Jamie Lailey knew at an early stage the band wanted to take rock by the scruff of it's neck and give it a good shake. "We knew what we wanted to do, we'd been devouring the songwriting and if we were inclined, we could have released a ton of material out of the gate. Toby took what we had and refined it. I'm glad we sat back and digested things with him, it was a major
turning point for the band."
With producer Toby Jepson at the helm, Mike Fraser on mixing duties and mastering by Simon Francis (Kodaline, Kaiser Chiefs, Primal Scream) the presentation of this new material was in the best of hands.
When asked what he thought about City Of Thieves, Mike Fraser simply replied "Killer band...Killer songs". This is not a throwaway comment, this is from a true craftsman who has worked on albums for Metallica, AC/DC, Slipknot, Aerosmith, and more.
So what about the songs? "The new material has bags of groove, different speeds and attitude. We mix it up but keep it genuine and made sure everything flows. Why play something that's monotonous, I'm not saying we're reinventing the wheel but if you think your own music is boring, why inflict that on your audience?" says Will Richards (drums). "We can't wait to unleash the other tunes and get on the road to play live," chips in Lailey.
With Planet Rock Radio playlisting 'Incinerator' and a string of festivals and shows under their belts, including Camden Rocks Festival, Planet Rockstock, Hard Rock Hell, Bloodstock Festival, Legends Of Rock and Ramblin' Man Fair, City Of Thieves is geared up to bring the rock in 2017!

Best known as the guitarist for metal veterans Tyketto and Rubicon Cross, Chris Green will be showcasing his six-string skills on an all-instrumental five-song EP, ‘Unveil,’ which will be issued on December 2nd (for which a teaser video can be viewed here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6RRFSGKJ9c). The release comes hot on the heels of Tyketto’s latest offering, ‘Reach,’ which was released via Frontier Records on October 14th.
“I think a lot of people have forgotten what it is to be moved by a piece of music that uses no lyrics,” explains Green. “The listener gets to interpret the piece however they see fit. That was my goal. For me, to finally move freely within music with no boundaries was a complete luxury, and a challenge at the same time. What I've laid down on this album isn't just notes, it's laying every emotion I experienced during a turbulent time of my life without using a single word.”
The turbulent time that Green mentions occurred with the passing of his father, who was also one of his best friends and biggest supporters. “I still really miss our talks, but one that comes to mind and will always stay with me is essentially the reason I recorded these tracks in the first place. After an hour or so bitching about being in bands and why democracy within them seems to be not only a near impossible task but a process only matched by sitting in a dentist chair having teeth pulled, he simply said ‘Well, just record your own bloody album under your own name like I've always said to you. Then you are your own boss, can write what you want, and answer to nobody.’
As it turns out, his father’s passing also served as the inspiration for one of the EP’s standout tracks, “Undefeated.” “This is without doubt the most emotive piece I've ever written. My father was in my mind throughout the entire creation of this track. The intro to the song was something I came up with really soon after dad’s passing.”
For years now, Green has been gaining popularity amongst fans and peers alike for his melodic approach to technical lead guitar playing. His recognizable signature sound of Marshall tube amps and PRS guitars has earned him accolades across the globe. When asked about his playing style Chris says, “For me, guitar playing boils down to some very simple factors. Be melodic when it counts, flare your acrobatic abilities only when the time is right, stay in tune, and be a nice person. These things have opened more doors for me than any other advice I’ve ever received.”
With a multitude of worldwide dates behind him, including some of the most prestigious festivals known to rock fans, the future is looking extremely bright.

For a band from Denmark - the record company wanted us to have an American producer, so Eddie Kramer's name came up and he had a pretty good CV (like KISS, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and stuff like that). He was a very nice guy but for producing an '80s hard rock/heavy metal band - he was a little over the hill to be honest."
