It's been said before and will be said again. The truth is that rock music is and always will be here to stay, especially when a band like Carousel Vertigo creates, feels and plays it like it does.
Revenge of Rock and Roll. The title says it all and the second album by Carousel Vertigo makes a clear musical statement; about a trend-proof musical genre, about its importance, now and always, to the loyal millions who will forever support it – and about how that shit just never grows old, say what you will about it.
Revenge of Rock and Roll finds Paris-based Carousel Vertigo – three native French rockers and an American – doing what this band does best and loves the most, regardless of opinions or passing phases, because hard rock truly is timeless and ever-present.
Carousel Vertigo's masterful take on it, the band's innate understanding of the history of rock's past and a vision of its future, is convincing and current enough to have attracted some stellar accomplices on Revenge of Rock and Roll – not least among them Garry Tallent, long-serving bass player with Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, who happily guested for a bottle of Bourgogne' on one of the album's ten tracks.
Watch now the video for the first single No More Hesitatin'...
The nucleus of the band, Gibson Guitars-endorsed Parisian Vincent Martinez and New Jersey son Jansen Press, formed Carousel Vertigo purely out of a shared love of the classic rock music they both revelled and could play so well. Although each came from a different culture and country, they were instantly united by the other's ability to express that music in different but complementary ways –“ and a dual-lead guitar partnership of virtuosity and instinct was born. Riding above it all, Vincent's vocal – one moment a pure, hair-raising wail, the next soulful and sweetly emotive honey – establishes Carousel Vertigo as the real deal.
The best band you've never heard playing the greatest music you think you already know but don't.

The song, "Goodboy" is from the latest rocksteady records release from Clay Howard, "Don't Make Me Tell You Again.." which was released on May 26, 2017.
This release is the third pairing of Clay and Minneapolis producer, multi-instrumentalist and FLIPP frontman, Brynn Arens.
"My old friend, Jason Pierce was kind enough to create and star in this visual expression of my song, and I am thrilled with the results. The video is a lighthearted look at what could be interpreted as a very dark song," said Clay Howard. "This makes the 4th or 5th project we have worked on together, including my "performance" in Jason's feature film, Hellphone back in 2010.
"Don't Make Me Tell You Again.." is available at all digital outlets, and a limited number of physical cds are available at the Clay Howard webstore: https://squareup.com/store/clay-howard-books
Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of a great new AOR/Melodic Rock band from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden: PERFECT PLAN.
The band formed in late 2014 and has been busy writing songs and honing their craft ever since. Perfect Plan music came to the attention of Frontiers Music Srl in the spring of 2017 and the label was immediately excited by the musical mixture of classic Scandinavian AOR (think Work of Art, Treat, early Europe) with nods to legends like Giant, Foreigner, and Journey. Their debut album will include influences from both the modern and classic AOR/Melodic Rock of the 80’s.
The band features the extraordinary new singer Kent Hilli together with Rolf Nordström on guitar, P-O Sedin on bass, Fredrik Forsberg on drums and Leif Ehlin on keyboards.
Kent Hilli says, “I am so proud and happy to be a part of this journey together with my dear friends in Perfect Plan and i really hope to see you all soon at a stage somewhere. Remember, everything is possible if you want it bad enough!”
Rolf Nordström adds, “I'm really excited and pleased with our debut album and I'm looking forward to this journey together with my great mates in the band!”
Perfect Plan are ready to take on the world and become one of your favorite new melodic rock artists!
