1500 LP SELLOUT (Updated Link)

Twenty or so boxes from my mate JB’s (RIP) amazing collection have been catalogued so far. The remaining boxes will most likely be added straight to Discogs (will keep everyone informed) one at a time.

The titles on this list will be added there also, but you get first look.

There are titles from several genres, with classic rock and metal the dominant of course.

Please note – the records listed haven’t been graded here, but I have seen all of them and by and large, the vast majority are near mint or close, but the odd one here and there had a notable exception. After wants are emailed in, I will pull the record out and verify conditions etc…

There are a number of the oldest titles have a small band of clear tape along the open spine (obviously added at the time for protection), I will also advise if that applies.

Please email any wants (with best offer) to – ajm@melodicrock.com

R.I.P ANDRE MATOS

Artist:

From Andre Matos' official Facebook page comes this terribly sad news, the former Angra vocalist has died from a heart attack at just age 47.

"It is with deep regret that we confirm the passing of André This Saturday morning due to a heart stop.

As many know, he was an extremely reserved person - and manifested in life, for more than once, the desire not to have a wake.

Respecting His will, he will be cremated today with the presence only of relatives.

We thank everyone for understanding and we count on you so that André's memory and legacy remain alive forever.

Carry on."

Neal Schon - "Purple Rain" (Paying Tribute To Prince)

Honoring and Remembering PRINCE on his Birthday with my guitar soaring high to heaven and carrying his spirit and music on. His music lives forever.

"Prince, pancakes and Journey guitar riffs at 4 am.... late eighties and I am sitting with Prince on the floor in his apartment at Paisley Park. We’ve listened to Joni Mitchell, Peter Gabriel and I notice a worn Journey Escape record in his collection. Surprised I turned to him and said “Never took you for a Journey fan”. He gave me that doe eyed look that always made me uncomfortable and said: “Neal Schon is one of my favorite guitarists on the planet, he is a genius.”

I thought it only fitting that Neal would return the respect by playing a fiery, inspired version of “Purple Rain”. Having worked for Prince for the last few years of his life Neal’s beautiful interpretation makes the loss of the colossal talent of “P” a little less sad. They are each prodigy’s that have woven themselves into the fabric of our lives and our lives are richer as a result." ~

Dambusters Release "All The Way To Your Heart" Single

Artist:
Raw and unpolished, "All The Way To Your Heart" is rock n' roll in its purest, most unadulterated form and represents Dambusters at their incendiary best. Recorded mostly live at an undisclosed location on Long Island, NY, in the fall of 2017, "All The Way To Your Heart" is rock n' roll how it's meant to be heard... dirty, ballsy and unbound; it is sexy, groove-laden, no-frills hard rock honoring a tradition forged by the likes of AC/DC, early Led Zeppelin, T. Rex and others. Prepare to be thoroughly seduced like it's the '70s!

"All The Way To Your Heart" features the guitar histrionics of ex-Noisy Mama main-man Jimmy Gumina, the bombastic rhythm section of New York veterans, Freddy Villano (of Quiet Riot and Widowmaker fame) on bass and Vic Pullen (Larry Mitchell, Francis Dunnery and others) on drums, and a guest appearance by the world-class lead vocalist Jimmy Kunes (Cactus, Humble Pie Live, Savoy Brown),

Produced by Dambusters
File Restoration & Mastering by Stacy O'Dell
Recorded (mostly live) by Jimmy Gumina & Simone Tonsi
Written by Gumina, Kunes, Pullen, Villano
Cover Artwork/Dambusters Logo by Mark Rizzo

"All The Way To Your Heart" performed by Dambusters:
Jimmy Gumina - guitars
Freddy Villano - bass
Vic Pullen - drums
...and featuring special guest, Jimmy Kunes on vocals
