Canadian Hard Rockers Thunderbird To Release Third Album Feat. Members of Bachman Turner and Lee Aaron

'An enticing and ear-bending form of new classic rock is most definitely what Thunderbird have delivered...' - Martin Popoff

Canadian hard rockers Thunderbird are releasing their anticipated self-titled third album on Delinquent Records on April 25, 2018! 'Thunderbird' was recorded in Vancouver BC, produced by Marc LaFrance and Kelly Stodola and mixed by famed engineer Mike Fraser.

Says lead singer & producer Marc LaFrance, 'The album is like a collection of short stories. I am singing the songs as different characters, or telling their tales. A gallery of rogues from the dark side!'

Musically, the songs are inspired by classic hard rock. Heavy guitars, blistering solos, driving rhythms.

The songs were written during 2016, after the band finished their last album 'Heavyweight'. Recording began for a third album late 2016 at Vancouver's Armoury Studios with famed engineer Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Van Halen). Sessions continued through the first half of 2017 at several Vancouver studios with other veteran engineers including Ken Burke, Kris Siegers and Mick Dalla-Vee. The finished album was mixed by Mike Fraser at The Armoury and mastered by Adam Ayan (Def Leppard, Foo Fighters, Queen) at Gateway Mastering.

The band's former guitarist Rod 'Doc' Coogan was unable to take part this time due to other commitments, and rising young talent Brice Tabish joins Thunderbird on guitar. Rod still makes a welcome appearance with the guitar solo on opening track 'Liar (Fool's Gold)'. Guest musicians on the new album include jazz pianist Chris Gestrin, and a string section on closing track 'Vampire' arranged and conducted by film composer Peter Allen.

Thunderbird features:

Marc LaFrance (Vocals/Producer)
Very experienced, well-known and highly regarded in the music industry, Marc is not only a singer but also a drummer, songwriter and producer. He records and tours internationally with Randy Bachman and Bachman Turner as well as his own band Cease & Desist. He has contributed to over 100 albums, and countless sessions on recordings by Motley Crue, David Lee Roth, Bon Jovi, The Cult, Loverboy, Glass Tiger, Alice Cooper, Blue Murder, Scorpions, Cher and many others.

Rob Becker (Bass)
Award-winning bassist Rob Becker has been an active part of the Vancouver music scene for decades and maintains a busy schedule of touring and session work. He has recorded and performed with many artists including Colin James, Patricia Conroy, Barney Bentall, Jim Byrnes, Ridley Bent and Lee Aaron to name a few. He can be seen performing regularly in the US and Europe and has recently been on stages in Scotland, England and Australia. His extensive background in playing live and in the studio, combined with formal musical training, makes Rob musically versatile.

Kelly Stodola (Drums/Producer)
Kelly is immersed in session work and live performance in many diverse styles and has been heard across North America on alternative college radio and mainstream hard rock stations as well as country television. Credits include Lauren Starchuk, Version 3, The Blue Voodoo, Featherz Edge, The Steve Sainas Band and Magnus Rising. He continues to keep a busy schedule on the Vancouver music scene and looks forward to many more years of making music.

Brice Tabish (Guitars)
Brice Tabish may be only in his mid-twenties, but knows more about classic hard rock and metal than people who were there at the time! He is a real student of the genre and lives and breathes it. Already a seasoned player on the Canadian scene, Brice tours with 'metal queen' Lee Aaron and has recorded with the likes of Andrew Oldham (Rolling Stones). He performs live regularly in the Vancouver area with Las Divas and the John Pippus Band.

AMANDA SOMERVILLE’S TRILLIUM 'Tectonic' Delivery June 8

Frontiers Music Srl is excited to announce the release of the new studio album, "Tectonic" from Amanda Somerville’s TRILLIUM on June 8.

Best known for her collaborations with various high profile European metal bands like Avantasia, Epica, KAMELOT, After Forever, and her amazing musical partnership with Helloween vocalist Michael Kiske under the Kiske/Somerville banner, Amanda Somerville is easily one of the most sought after and gifted female vocalists of the current hard rock and metal scene. With a vocal range from tenor to soprano and a stylistically diverse singing ability, Amanda’s voice is well suited for multiple styles, but this new TRILLIUM album is firmly rooted in the metal genre, thanks also to the creative contribution from Amanda’s husband, former After Forever and HDK guitarist Sander Gommans.

"Where [Trillium debut album] “Alloy” was rather dark and moody and restless, Tectonic is on the whole more uplifting and full of strength and character, though it’s just as full of emotion,” explains Amanda. "My life was shaken up by figurative earthquakes through several elements shifting in recent years and that’s what this album represents. It’s a challenge to make an album that’s musically heavy without being dragged down by melancholy, but that’s what Sander and I set out to do from the beginning and it worked out beautifully!”

Amanda continues, “The core and essence of Tectonic is very personal and comes, basically, from the hearts and minds of a singer and a guitar player and I think that’s very apparent when you listen to the songs. Sander and I didn’t want to overthink things and over-complicate the songs. There’s definitely some bombast in there because we both have a love of keyboard arrangements, but they don’t rule the roost here. Also, the only guest performances are by good friends from my hometown in Flint, Michigan who also played live with me solo and with Trillium, and also some great mates and colleagues of Sander’s, so it’s really a “family” kind of album. We tried to keep things simple, and yet I think it’s anything but low-key!”

Today, the first song and video, "Time To Shine" from the album has been premiered - click on the image to enjoy!

"The focus for the video was something where I wanted to show the essence of the album’s hopeful and uplifting spirit. “Time To Shine” depicts that positivity while maintaining a serious, hard-edge vibe, so it’s a good combination of the elements that I love about Tectonic. Besides being autobiographical, I feel like this is a song that says, “OK, I’ve arrived and it’s where I want to be: here I am, now let’s keep it going,” says Amanda.

Fans of Trillium’s debut album, “ALLOY” as well as artists like The Dark Element, Tarja, Cellar Darling, Lacuna Coil, and the like will find much to enjoy in this beautiful new record!

1. Time To Shine
2. Stand Up
3. Full Speed Ahead
4. Hit Me
5. Fighting Fate
6. Nocturna
7. Fatal Mistake
8. Shards
9. Cliché Freak Show

Boston’s hard rock legends Mass have had numerous accomplishments over the years but most notably is the selling of over half a million albums worldwide!

Mass are legends in the USA and have a good strong following in Europe where they have released eight studio albums on labels such as A&M, RCA, Enigma and of course Escape Music. They have worked with such producers as Tom Allom (Judas Priest), Jon Mathias (Joe Cocker), Tony Platt (Cheap Trick / Led Zep) and Michael Sweet (Stryper) who has also contributed to this very release. They have toured with Scorpions, Cinderella, Molly Hatchet, Tesla, The Ramones, Kix, Vince Neil to name but a few-.

Mass first started recording music in the early eighties and since then have released 7 studio recordings and with “When 2 Worlds Collide” this will be their 8th studio album. Their music can only be described as Melodic Hard Rock of the highest order; they certainly have a pedigree in this type of music and they hail from Boston too, home of the band of the very same name! In fact Louis from Mass has sung on the Boston album “Love, Life and Hope”.

Mass are an institution and if you are still unfamiliar with their music then this is a time to put things right. This new album is riddled with classic tunes that every
melodic hard rock fan would want to hear if you love the hard edged US rock sound. These guys are the best in their field, go and check them out.

AOR HEAVEN have most recently inked a new deal with Finnish Hard Rock prject IMPERIUM and will release their new album “Beyond The Stars” on May 25. On the same day, the former Japanese only release from German Melodic Rock group FRONTLINE, “Heroes”, will be released outside of Japan for the first time. This record will be ltd. to 1000 CD copies only and was remastered by guitarist Robby Böbel.

Band: Imperium - Beyond The Stars
Release date: 25.05.2018
Label: AOR Heaven

Imperium is the solo project of drummer Mika Brushane. Mika has been playing drums and percussion in various bands since 1981 in all genres from jazz to metal and composed songs for different genres - and this legacy of mixed genres can be heard in the IMPERIUM sound! The music is Melodic Rock which has a big dose of 80’s feel and sounds in it.

The project started in 2012 when Mika composed a new track for the new STRIKE record “We’re back” and realized that there was more songs in him that needed to be released. In 2016, the debut album by IMPERIUM, “Dreamhunter”, saw the light of day on  AOR Heaven.
In IMPERIUM, Mika is in charge of the song-writing and playing all drums, bass, keyboards and the backing vocals. All lead vocals and guitars are performed by various very talented musicians from the rock/metal scene.
Also the album’s post production was handled by top professionals, i.e. it was  mixed by Erkka Korhonen (Dark Sarah, Urban Tale, Northern Kings, Ari Koivunen, Raskasta Joulua) and mastered by the legendary Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Children of bodom, Stratovarius, HIM etc.) “Beyond The Stars” was produced and mostly recorded during 2017-2018 by Mika himself at his Groovehouse studio in Vantaa, Finland.

IMPERIUM is: Mika Brushane - Music, lyrics, drums, vst-bass, keyboards and backing vocals, Erkka Korhonen - Guitars, Samuli Federley - Guitars, Toni Huovinen - Guitars, Susanna Eronen - Backing vocals, Sini Heinilä - Backing vocals

Band: Frontline - Heroes
Release date: 25.05.2018
Label: AOR Heaven

FRONTLINE from Nürnberg, Germany belong to the pioneers of the German hard rock scene. Founded in 1989 by Robert Böbel (guitars, keyboards; EVIDENCE ONE, PHANTOM V), Stephan Kämmerer (vocals), Thomas Riess (bass) und Stephan Bayerlein (drums), their debut album “The State Of Rock” finally hit the stores in 1994 - a true classic which until today still is regarded as the finest album of the band by many. This record also meant the breakthrough for the guys in Japan where they reached # 10 in the rock sales charts. Straightly after the release, FRONTLINE went on tour in Europe and had the honour to open for various great acts such as GOTTHARD, CRASH TEST DUMMIES, BONFIRE, TYKETTO and CASANOVA.

In 1995,  FRONTLINE pulled out the full acoustic album -Two Faced“. However, personal differences within the band followed and ended up in the departure of Stephan Bayerlein and Thomas Riess in 1996. They were replaced by Thomas -Hutch“ Bauer (Bass) und Rami Ali (Drums; EVIDENCE ONE, SHYLOCK). Still in the same year, FRONTLINE signed a record deal with a new label, recorded the single “Man In Motion” and the album “Heroes” which though officially only saw the light of day in Japan since their European label went out of business.

One year later, the band decided to start working on another new album which is well known under it’s working title “Heroes II” amongst the fans but never saw a release. Due to a complicated contractual situation many labels feared to contact FRONTLINE during the following years and the band went back to the underground again until Georg Siegl at AOR Heaven finally showed his interest in the band in the year 2000 and signed them for the first time. Just one month later, the album “Right Attitude” was released which can be regarded as a sort of compilation out of both “Heroes” albums -and “Right Attitude” became a huge success for the band again! The recordings for their 2002 output “Against The World” started the same year, and this album finally re-established FRONTLINE on the international hard rock market.

Throughout the months after the release of the best of compilation “Almost Unreleased” (2003) which also featured a couple of rare tracks for the fans, FRONTLINE again went into the studio and started to work on a new album called “The Seventh Sign” (2004). In the year 2006, the last studio album the German group called “Circles” was released.

On May 25th 2018, AOR Heaven now will re-issue the former Japanese only release “Heroes” as limited edition of 1000 copies. The album was  re-mastered by guitarist Robby Böbel.

Heeding the ravenous Seventh Wonder fans’ requests to hear new music from the band, Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to finally announce the release of “Victorious,” the first single off of SEVENTH WONDER’s brand new studio album "Tiara", which is scheduled for release on October 12th!
Hailing from Sweden, progressive metal greats Seventh Wonder are thrilled to be releasing their long in the making fifth studio album Tiara, their first batch of new material since “The Great Escape,” originally released in 2010. Having previously released via Frontiers the live album and long-form video, “Welcome to Atlanta” (recorded at the ProgPower Festival in 2014), the band is now ready to “unleash the beast”!
Says bassist Andreas Blomqvist, “It has been many years in the making, but it is finally done and we couldn’t be happier with it. Tiara is everything you have come to expect from Seventh Wonder, but I also hope there are some new flavors in there to keep it interesting. We really didn’t think too much about what sound we were going for, nor did we have to force it, it all came natural, albeit slow this time around. We are super proud of this album and we are so much looking forward to sharing it with you!”
Continues Andreas, "Victorious was the first song on the album that was completed. It wasn’t written first, but it was the first one we sat down and wrote the lyrics for, so it is special to us. I am thrilled to finally be able to share a song off of Tiara with you!”

Tiara will be released on October 12, 2018 on CD, 2xLP, and MP3.
Originally formed in Stockholm in 2000, the band debuted in 2005 with “Become”. The second album, “Waiting in the Wings” - and first to feature Tommy Karevik on vocals - followed in 2006. Two more successful records, the concept album, “Mercy Falls” (2008) and “The Great Escape” (2010) followed before the band went on a hiatus of sorts following singer Tommy Karevik being chosen to take Roy Kahn’s place in KAMELOT.

After two critically acclaimed albums, the self-titled debut and sophomore album, “II”, it was time for Lords Of Black to craft their all important third album. With the anticipation created by the album’s predecessors and vocalist Ronnie Romero’s selection as the singer for Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow reunion, expectations are high and the pressure is on for the band to deliver. Have they?

“Icons Of The New Days” is more than enough proof that yes, the band has indeed delivered in spades! Lords Of Black has crafted a collection of amazing songs that draw from the influences of traditional heavy metal with elements of progressive metal thrown in the mix with robust production showcasing all the member’s talents. Guitarist Tony Hernando, drummer Andy C., bassist Dani Criado and vocalist Ronnie Romero are indeed a rising force to be reckoned with in the modern metal scene.

Tracks like the incredible album opener, “World Gone Mad” along with “Not In A Place Like This” and the title track set the bar high for an album that is going to be a contender for metal album of the year. “Forevermore” and “The Way I’ll Remember” are simply stunning and powerful metal tunes such as “When A Hero Takes A Fall” and “Wait No Prayers For The Dying” will cause you to thrust your fist to the sky. As has become the band’s tradition, epic songs like “King’s Reborn” and “All I Have Left”, the longest song ever written by Lords Of Black, anchor the proceedings.

Once again produced by Tony Hernando and Roland Grapow (who also handled mixing and mastering duties), the production and quality of the song arrangements are another decisive factor in the greatness on display here.

Last but not least, Felipe Machado has delivered another stunning album cover.
