Los Angeles CA, November 23, 2014 - What do babes in bikinis, hot tubs, clouds of cash, and a thieving IRS have in common? They all come together in Tim Branom’s rocking new video “Taxman”, due to be released on November 23.
Tim Branom (Fifth Angel, Cloud Nine) resumes his guitar-driven assault on metal in his new music video "Taxman", a modern take on Cheap Trick’s under-appreciated classic. Speaking about his rendition that takes the song to an entirely different level, Branom said: "I love Cheap Trick’s original and could always hear a heavier version. I just don’t hear enough guitar anymore and it’s time to change that.”
As on most of his songs, Branom plays all instruments on the studio recording save drums by Chris Ross. For the video, Branom gets a little help from his friends: turning up the volume are guitarist Lance Turner (Atomic Punks), bassist "Bumper" (Zero1), and drummer Troy Patrick Farrell (Gilby Clarke, White Lion, The Raskins).
The video blows the lid off the IRS’s biggest secret: that they steal your hard earned money to party with hot tub vixens. In hiding from the government, Director JJ Vazquez was reached at his off-the-grid location. "We were lucky enough to find a bevy of sexy party girls and assemble the band for a few days. Let’s just hope there isn’t an accounting firm like the one in the video." Laughed Branom, “Yeah, that’s exactly what the government wants you to believe.”
“Taxman” was mixed and mastered by powerhouse Claudio Cueni (Beware Of Darkness, 2Pac).

Deen Castronovo, Jack Blades and Doug Aldrich. Put these three rock titans together in a band and you have the exciting new hard rock/melodic rock supergroup REVOLUTION SAINTS.
Superbly handling drums and lead vocals is Deen Castronovo. Already renowned for his drum talents and backing vocals in Journey, Bad English and more, Deen's excellent vocal talents are in the spotlight on this release.
On bass, and co-lead vocals on a few tracks, Jack Blades is well known for his melodic, yet hard rocking approach to songwriting and playing via multiple classic albums by his main band Night Ranger, as well as with the Damn Yankees and the Shaw/Bladesreleases.
On guitar, Doug Aldrich was excited to lend his fiery blues guitar attack to such a unique and melodic band. Doug, who just left Whitesnake after a fruitful 12 year run (including co-writing 2010s critically acclaimed "Forevermore" release) and also of Burning Rainand formerly of DIO, has a deep pedigree and is one of today’s most respected guitarists.
You can tell by the name - and the names involved - that REVOLUTION SAINTS isn’t your average rock 'n roll band. The new album brings back the classic melodic rock style to where it should be: inspiring, uplifting vocals, soaring melodies and musicianship to die for. It’s completely badass.
The project is the vision of Frontiers' President Serafino Perugino, who for years had hoped to work on a project where Deen would be the lead vocalist. Having previously worked with all three artists on different projects on Frontiers, having Deen, Jack and Doug on board together was a dream come true for Perugino.
With production overseen by in-house Frontiers man, Alessandro Del Vecchio (who also contributed to the songwriting and played keyboards on the album), the recording process took place in Portland, Oregon during the summer of 2014.

I know I said I was done, but for what it's worth, here's a summary and update of recent VAN HALEN rumor drama.
A good source of mine knows that Eddie & Alex are in final mixing stages of secret project.
We both assume it's a new album.
Upon that news being shot down (by another close friend and the VHND), further digging suggested it was in fact a live DVD.
That is also shot down very swiftly.
But further clarification was sought from the CIA and FBI and I now have news that I believe to be more plausible after update 1 & 2 were dismissed.
If this is accurate - then rumor 1&2 weren't far off the mark. What the upcoming release is in fact a live release - but not a DVD, just an audio only CD release. What Dave era I don't know, but my source suggested it was archival.
Take it or leave it...but I just felt this story was unfinished business for me.
If this is accurate we will know I was on track originally. If not, I'll scratch the source for any future info.
Time will tell if this info stands the test of time :)
UPDATE:
In an arrogant, rude and dismissive post at the VHForums.com, the owner of the VHND (the only site seemingly allowed to report or mention Van Halen info), has again shot down the latest news that Van Halen were in fact working on a live DVD.
Apparently not.
So, they have spent 18 months on a top secret, locked down military project that is neither a new studio album, nor a live DVD.
This is despite the uncontested fact Van Halen brothers have been in mix-down in recent weeks.
He stated “All of this is absolute nuts. You all should know he's been wrong about everything before ADKOT was released, and soon enough you will see that he is wrong on everything he said this year.”
So….with that said…I’m done. You can go to the band’s official site www.-van-halen.com (last updated 18 months ago) or the band’s Facebook page (last updated over 12 months ago).
This has to be the most un-fan friendly band on the planet. They have no grasp of keeping the fan base informed, interacting with anyone on the essential and simple to use social media outlets or anywhere else for that matter.
No wonder fans are left hanging on to nothing but speculation.
Whatever this CIA project is, it was being mixed in recent weeks, so it will be announced whenever they are ready.

VAN HALEN has been keeping a “secret’ project under wraps all year, with fans left to speculate just what that might be.
A couple of weeks back I heard that mixing of this project was well underway in a LA studio with a big name mix specialist. I automatically assumed it was a new studio album or tracks left over from the A Different Kind Of Truth sessions finally coming to fruition.
But sadly it is not.
Here’s a couple of points I heard back following that report, from my two best, long time sources.
- “There are no plans whatsoever to record a new album.”
And
- “There is no indication that DLR has even been in real contact with the brothers let alone done any recording on "new" songs.”
So just what exactly has Eddie & Alex Van Halen been working on?
Work that I’m told will wrap up this week.
Folks… without any confirmation from the band or anyone official (they never talk…), to the best of my knowledge, it looks like the secret project is an archival Live DVD.
Signs are pointing towards it being a 2008 Madison Square Garden show that was filmed on the night.
UFO - New Album A CONSPIRACY OF STARS out on 23 February 2015
European tour to start February 2015
The rumours have been doing the rounds for months, now it-s official at last: 23 February 2015 will see the European release (Germany: 20 February 2015 / US: 3 March 2015) of the latest studio recording by British rock legend UFO, their 22nd to date. The album will be called A Conspiracy Of Stars, and the band consisting of Phil Mogg (vocals), Paul Raymond (keyboards, guitar), Vinnie Moore (guitar), Andy Parker (drums) and Rob De Luca (bass) have recorded almost a dozen fantastic new songs, produced and mixed in the Kentish town of Deal by Chris Tsangarides, renowned for his work with acts such as Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore. A Conspiracy Of Stars will be available as a Digipak (including poster and bonus track), jewel case, vinyl double LP and for download.
More or less simultaneously with the release, UFO are scheduled to go on tour in February and March 2015, playing Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Switzerland, and more, followed by a tour of Britain and Ireland in April and May.
The band is already looking forward to the reactions to their latest release: -A Conspiracy Of Stars is another successful combination of those typical UFO elements with fresh, contemporary ideas. Drumming demi-gods Carmine & Vinny Appice have both had extraordinary careers behind the drum kit, beginning with Carmine’s tenure in such legendary classic rock bands as Vanilla Fudge and Cactus as well as supporting stints with Rod Stewart and Ozzy Osbourne. Europe have completed recording of their next studio album, due early 2015. Singer Joey Tempest posted this update earlier today:
"Hi Friends
Well, you always hear it here first. We have finished the recording of our 10th album! Twelve songs were recorded at the the brand new PanGaia studios in Stockholm where we were the very first artist to record. We loved it! The studio is absolutely top of the range and the staff was incredibly helpful. Of course we packed the place full of vintage microphones and "gear" to create an atmosphere on this record and to warm the sound up. Dave Cobb, our producer, really brought something amazing to this album and made us play from heart and soul. He will now mix it in his studio in the US. This record sounds truly enigmatic! what a great vibe! As always we're on a new journey with every record we make and this time we have really gone for it. We can't wait for you guys to hear it! We did film some stuff during the recording and will put something together for you guys in a little while."

German-based label delighted to announce signing of Swedish rock legends
Swedish rock group Europe have signed with UDR Records for the release of their as-yet-untitled forthcoming album in early March 2015. The recording commences this month in Stockholm.
Europe’s front man Joey Tempest “We’re really excited to be working with the people at UDR. A very credible label and I am impressed with their work building a future and a solid foundation for their Artists”
UDR President/owner Ulrike Rudolph expressed her delight in capturing the band for the label.
“We are always looking to expand the label’s stable of bands with quality, not quantity, and Europe represent the finest in supremely written hard rock music,” said Rudolph. “They are a group who refuse to rest on their past and continue to grow as artists and musicians, so we are absolutely delighted they have come to us.”
Production on the new material will be handled by Dave Cobb (Rival Sons).
“He is one of few producers out there who is saving rock ‘n’ roll,” said Joey Tempest, “when we first heard Pressure and Time by Rival Sons, we just went ‘who the hell produced this stuff? It’s got tons of heart and soul, it’s cocky, it’s got that swagger, it’s alive and real.’ That’s the journey we’re on with Europe, trying to dig deeper to find more soulful expressions and play straight from the core! So we’re extremely excited to bring this guy into our team.”
The multi-platinum, 20-million-plus selling quintet, recorded 1986’s smash-hit The Final Countdown and toured the World playing sold-out concerts while cementing their place as one of the biggest rock bands of the ‘80s.
After re-grouping in 2004 with the ‘classic’ line-up, the band continued their success into the 21st century with Classic Rock Magazine stating upon the release of their last album in 2012, ‘Europe are one of the greatest rock bands on the planet right now.’
In 2015, Europe will once again take to the road as they begin a UK/Ireland tour in Dublin on March 2nd (their first visit to Ireland in 25 years). More dates to co-incide with the albums cycle will be announced shortly including territories the band has not visited in some time.
