NOCTURNAL RITES: LIMITED 12" VINYL EDITIONS OF "GRAND ILLUSION" AND "NEW WORLD MESSIAH" ANNOUNCED
Inner Wound Recordings are proud to announce limited 12" vinyl editions of the classic NOCTURNAL RITES albums "Grand Illusion" and "New World Messiah". A deal was inked with Century Media Records, and the release dates are set to February 6th for Europe and March 3rd for North America.
Both editions are strictly limited to 500 copies worldwide. 400 copies are standard black, and 100 copies are transparent.
Just added to Sammy Hagar's website comes the news of the Red Rocker joining The Simpsons this Sunday.
"Sammy Hagar is going to have an appearance on THE SIMPSONS on Fox, Sunday, November 23rd at 8/7 CT. He will guest star in the upcoming season 26 episode "Covercraft".
This is the first time that Sammy will be providing his voice to his character on The Simpsons, but not the first time his likeness as a character has been featured on the show. Back in 2000 (Simpsons Season 11) Sammy was seen in the crowd at a pseudo-VH1 award show next to Wille Nelson.
Back in August, Matt Selman reached out to Sammy on Twitter saying, "Dear @sammyhagar, if you are out there, thank you for your hard driving rock songs! Best, your pals at the Simpsons #EverySimpsonsEver". Sammy responded saying, "Ya man! I'm here, ROCK ON! @mattselman".

"As the bands founder and owner of the name I recently decided to put the band to rest. As some of You know I became very ill on the last UK tour and was fighting death for quite some time. Had to spend two and half months at hospitals in both England and Sweden and while recovering I had a lot of time to think. Get perspective on things. One of the conclusions that grew stronger and stronger was: I need changes and new energy. I'm certainly not quitting music and I have good hopes to present a new band in the near future, who knows: You might even recognize some of the names in it ;-)' But more on that later.
For now I want to thank my buddies and the great musicians in the last line up of M.ILL.ION: Andreas Gr'vle, Angelo Modafferi and Johan H'll for all the good times and creativity together. I especially want to thank our singer Ulrich Carlsson who has been with me in M.ILL.ION for 15 year, well done mate! I'm sure all those great guys will continue with music one way or the other and I look forward to have a beer or two when we meet as the friends we are. Thanks of course also to all former members of the band, without You this crazy ride wouldn't have been possible. Frontiers Music Srl, is pleased to announce the release of a new exciting album written and performed by the two Norwegian Rock Stars Jorn Lande and Trond Holter entitled DRACULA “Swing of Death on January 23 in Europe and January 27 in North America.
This exciting concept album was inspired by the life of Count Vlad the III, Prince of Wallachia, widely known as Vlad, The Impaler or by his patronymic name Vlad Dracul(a). The whole story explores the inner struggle inside the multifaceted and engorging character that this mysterious 15th Century personality was, while also taking into account some of the metaphysical aspects that passed into literature, forming the whole basis of the vampire mythos.
Jorn Lande – who impersonates Dracula, is the main character of the album and the female parts are sung by Norwegian singer Lena Fløitmoen (representing Mina/Lucy from the Bram Stoker book). The drama of the story reveals Dracula’s inner battle, where he still remembers what true love was, and as he wandered the Earth for centuries with a thirst for blood, his loneliness and desire to be able to love again has led him to the brink of insanity. In the original Bram Stoker version, he leaves Transylvania by ship and when he meets Lucy's best friend, she reminds him so much of his first love Mina, that he becomes obsessed. His mission is to take her as his bride, and make her Queen of the dark.
Musically, “Swing of Death” is not like a typical rock opera or musical, since it has no storyteller or too many long instrumental parts and intros. It is an album that gets to the point with no detours and even if it exposes some diverse musical landscapes, it does include catchy and melodic songs with commercial radio potential. Vocally this release gives you everything from Jorn Lande’s past extensive catalogue all in one album. Jorn’s ability to be innovative and original while at the same time showing where his roots came from, is truly unique. Jorn and Trond’s musical influence when creating this epic masterpiece came mostly from 70’s era Meat Loaf, Queen, Alice Cooper, plus some other Classic and more contemporary Hard Rock elements. All mixed together with their own modern musical heavy rock style, Dracula “Swing of death” is something extraordinary. The lyrics are not limited to the old days of Bram Stoker’s era and could easily be a Dracula story of today.

RATED X was formed at the suggestion of Frontiers' President Serafino Perugino, who mentioned to singer Joe Lynn Turner that a band of the highest caliber musicians should be assembled to create an album of classic Hard Rock music. Turner, the former lead vocalist for both Rainbow and Deep Purple and a solo artist in his own right, agreed, and the search for the right players was on. Carmine Appice, who already had a relationship with Frontiers, was on board immediately. A true percussion icon, Appice's resume is one that Rock legends are made of: Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart, Blue Murder, King Kobra and others.
Appice's former Blue Murder bandmate and bassist, Tony Franklin (also known for his work with The Firm, Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers, David Gilmour, Kate Bush, and Whitesnake), signed up next. After a lengthy search for the right guitarist, they settled on long-time Turner collaborator Karl Cochran, who has also worked with Ace Frehley, and worked in the past with Joe Lynn Turner on his solo albums.
The self-titled debut album is remarkable in that it sounds like a band that has worked together as a unit for years. The songs are powerful and the performances are tight and innovative. Frontiers in-house producer, Alessandro del Vecchio, not only handled studio production but added keyboards on several tracks. Pat Regan (Mr Big, Deep Purple, Gotthard, Kiss, Doro) mixed the album.

Angus Young of AC/DC says his bandmates have not been in touch with Phil Rudd since he was charged with threatening to kill and possessing methamphetamine and marijuana last week.
Young, 59, said in an interview Thursday (Nov. 13) that Rudd's behavior had been somewhat erratic during the recording of their new album.
"Well, we had a few problems. The situation he's in -- that took everyone by surprise. We had a few issues before with him, even when we were recording it was hard even to get to him to do the recording," Young said, sitting in a room with bassist Cliff Williams.
"And then he was supposed to show up to do promos with us, to do video shoots and a few shoots and a few other things, and he never showed up for that either. So, at this stage, it's a pretty tough call for us."
Rudd, who has been with the band on and off for nearly three decades, was released last week. He is expected to appear in court in New Zealand on Nov. 27.
"We haven't had contact," Young said in New York City. "But he has his people that represent him. He's got himself in a pickle."
New album Goody 2 Shoes & The Filthy Beast scheduled for release in spring 2015

The rock legend is back: American funk rock sensation Mother's Finest have signed a european recording deal with Steamhammer/SPV and are set to unleash their latest studio album Goody 2 Shoes & The Filthy Beast in spring 2015. This will be the band's first studio recording since their 2003 release Meta-Funk'n-Physical. Mother's Finest are ready to introduce the first single from their new album as early as December 2014. The current line-up includes vocalists Joyce Kennedy and Glenn Murdock, bassist Wyzard and guitarist Moses Mo, all four original members of the first line-up dating back to 1970. Guitarist John Hayes and drummer Dion Derek have proved to complement Mother's Finest perfectly since their comeback in 1989.
The group achieved their international breakthrough with a spectacular TV appearance at one of the legendary Rockpalast concerts promoted by German TV station WDR in March 1978, when Joyce Kennedy's awesome performance and the band's red hot hits such as 'Mickey's Monkey', 'Baby Love' and 'Give You All The Love' wowed millions of TV viewers, making the band famous practically over night.
Steamhammer/SPV are of course delighted with the latest addition to their roster. A&R manager Olly Hahn: 'For two years I've been trying to get this band and now it's finally happened: Mother's Finest are on Steamhammer/SPV. Frontiers Music Srl, is pleased to announce another impactful release to kick 2015 off with a (heavy metal) bang: LEVEL 10’s debut album, “Chapter One”. Set for release in the EU on January 23rd and in North America on January 27th, the album features 12 songs performed in a true Metal style, with a distinctly contemporary edge.
LEVEL 10 was born out of a collaboration between American powerhouse singer Russell Allen (SYMPHONY X, ADRENALINE MOB, ALLEN LANDE) and the iconic German producer/bassist Mat Sinner (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER). The pair met a few times during the years and swore to each other to find the time to work together. That occasion finally came about when Frontiers President, Serafino Perugino managed to connect with the two and get them committed to the creation of a new Metal album which could meld the more contemporary and aggro sound of Adrenaline Mob with the more traditional European Power Metal assault of Primal Fear.
Sinner quickly put together a killer lineup for the album, including his Primal Fear cohorts Randy Black (on drums) and Alex Beyrodt (on guitar) and called Roland Grapow (ex-Helloween) and Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Voodoo Circle) to complete the lineup on lead guitar and keyboards respectively. On the songwriting side – besides the band members – the album also sees contributions from Magnus Karlsson, Carsten Schulz, Sander Gommans and Amanda Somerville.
While the actual recording took a long time due to the “day job” commitments from the various musicians involved in this release, the result is an outstanding and super heavy – yet infectiously melodic - album! With Allen’s over-the-top vocals and a powerful lineup second to none, the resulting album is – from start to finish a true delight for all heavy metal fans!
“The target was to write and record a traditional and powerful heavy rock album with some of the best players in this genre” says Sinner. “The result is just amazing. Russell’s voice is in a fantastic shape, kick ass songs and I’m really proud of the album!”.
