ZFG will tour with Toto Summer 2019 in support of new single “Special”
Serendipitous is an adjective that describes accidentally being in the right place at the right time, like bumping into a good friend in some unusual location, or finding a hundred dollar bill on the ground. The word could also be used well in describing the inception of the band ZFG. Within its ranks you'll find seasoned songwriters and performers of which you may be familiar, but sometimes the sum of the parts is beyond expectations and lends itself to being genre defining.

Based in Los Angeles, ZFG consists of Trev Lukather (son of legendary guitarist Steve Lukather and founding member of Toto), bassist Sam Porcaro (son of original bassist for Toto, Mike Porcaro), drummer Josh Devine of One Direction, and stellar vocalist Jules Galli.
The members were close friends in different projects, but decided to get into the studio for fun with a new approach in mind, making music with no rules or boundaries. “Zero F**ks Given” is what they called their first day in the studio, which led to their band name ZFG. After writing and recording together on day one, the chemistry was undeniable, so the decision was made to forge their individual projects into one. By melding anthemic, hook-filled melodies within funk rock guitar riffs and groove rock beats, the band shows their ability to compact a vast array of influence and experience into a signature sound with substance, style, and soul.
“Having released two songs already, 'Holehearted' and 'Special' it is now apparent just how good that chemistry is. Funk rock grooves and infectious backing vocals are just the first things to jump out at you. These guys can play. Of course when you carry the last name of rock royalty (Lukather and Porcaro) or come from a massive band like One Direction (Devine), people expect good things. These guys deliver that in spades.”
As serendipitous as the making of the band may have been, ZFG runs with a different mindset when approaching the music they write by not restricting themselves to purely rock-style songs. ZFG's music is infused in alternative, pop, R&B and a hybrid of other styles.
ZFG's radio campaign recently launched for their single “Special” and was officially released on April 26th on Spotify and all platforms via Cleopatra Records. “Special” landed #2 MOST ADDED spot on the Billboard (BDS) Mainstream Rock Indicator Chart and grabbed the coveted #1 MOST ADDED spot on the Foundations (SMR) Chart. “Special” lands among the Top 10 Greatest Gainers on BOTH the Billboard Indicator & Foundations Chart!

Initially active between 2002 - 2009, Crash Kelly released two critically acclaimed cult classics, 'Penny Pills' and 'Electric Satisfaction' via Century Media’s rock n roll imprint Liquor and Poker Music, followed by a third album, 'One More Heart Attack' via Opening Day/Universal Music. All three albums were released in Japan via Spiritual Beast/Universal, and a European “Best Of” compilation, 'Love You Electric', was released via the Bad Reputation, earning the band an 8/10 full page review in Classic Rock Magazine. The band toured North America as support for Alice Cooper on his 2006 Dirty Diamonds tour, and also toured the US alongside Century Media label mates Backyard Babies. Crash Kelly also toured the UK and Europe alongside The Quireboys and Enuff Z’Nuff, and in their native Canada as support to ex-Guns Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke (who also produced 'Electric Satisfaction' and 'One More Heart Attack' in his Los Angeles based Redrum Studios).
The decade that Sean spent away from Crash Kelly saw him become a highly in demand guitarist, songwriter, producer and collaborator. He has toured the world and recorded with a number of multi platinum acts including Nelly Furtado, Helix, Lee Aaron, Coney Hatch, Honeymoon Suite, Gilby Clarke, Alan Frew (Glass Tiger) Carole Pope/Rough Trade, Harlequin, Trapper, Howie D, Doc Walker and many more. He has recorded four classical guitar albums, two of which charted in the US Billboard Top 10. In 2015, Sean was cast to star alongside Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snider and Taylor Dayne in Dee Snider’s Rock N Roll Christmas Tale, which ran during the Holiday Season at Toronto’s famed Winter Garden Theatre and played to over 20,000 people.
Sean is also the author of the Amazon chart-topping book Metal On Ice: Tales from Canada’s Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Heroes (Dundurn Press), and is a sought after guitar clinician and music educator. He currently teaches Music with the Toronto Catholic District School Board.
With the new single "Touch Me", Sean returns to his glam rocking roots. Musical support comes from Dave Reimer on bass and Tim Timleck on drums. Skid Row burst onto the scene with their iconic self titled debut album in 1988. Fuelled with enough punk and metal attitude to take down any band on the West Coast but enough melody to battle them for airplay dominance. Top Ten singles, Gold and Platinum sales in too many countries to count and a #1 album on the Billboard chart! They ruled the world for the next 8 years until an ill advised South American tour in 1996 brought the party to an end. The band was finished, but the core camaraderie never died.
In 2000 Skid Row returned to the big stage. Opening for Kiss, they were reinvigorated. Supercharged underdogs who needed to come out fighting to prove themselves once more. With a new frontman the renewed Skid Row played hundreds of shows, with every night being a hard fought battle to win new fans and convince the old ones they still had it. Two albums and two EP's later, the war was won, Skid Row have reestablished their position as one of rocks finest acts with authenticity and the fact they have stayed totally true to themselves and their fans.
With the current musical climate the way it is, Skid Row will continue down the EP path. “The idea really appealed to me,” says Bolan, “especially with the constantly changing musical climate. I like the idea of a steady flow of new music, as opposed to releasing a full-length album then riding it for the next two years.”
Armed with powerhouse vocalist ZP Theart, Skid Row in 2019 is as potent as ever. The twin guitar attack of Dave ’Snake Sabo and Scotti Hill is as legendary as any other classic duo and they are cemented in place by the massive driving force of Rachel Bolan on bass and Rob Hammersmith at the back on drums.
The band are currently in the studio recording the third in their United World Rebellion EP seriesand it will be released via Golden Robot Records in late 2019.

Berlin-based hard rock outfit KARO put out their only album release “Heavy Birthday“ in 1988. Praised by critics and fans alike their melodic but somehow rough style was met by great songwriting and musical talent. It has since been an open secret that KARO recorded more than thirty songs between 1987 and 1989 of which only ten ended up on their debut. Whereas Robert „Karo“ Straub played keyboard in Morgenrot and Lutz Salzwedel (v) fronted Karusell, both having German lyrics, Salzwedel later on put out several records under the name of Dan Lucas and recently won The Voice Of Germany Senior, it was the talent of Erich Holstein (g) that literally ignited the band KARO. Soon after recordings in Berlin and Frankfurt with producers Peter Hauke and Andy Lunn took place.
Recordings in London followed. Especially working on the songs “One Of A Kind“, “Sister Sister“ and “Wanna Be Loved“ in London with producer Tony Platt, who then already had worked with AC/DC, was quite an experience for the band and obviously brought attention, too. The idea of going there for production was to give the band more of an international sound. KARO right away played support shows for Meat Loaf but was dropped by the label in 1989.
The idea to put out “Heavy Birthday II & III“ as a double-decker CD was born. All tracks featured on any Karo release have been recorded within those three years of activity. With Holstein and Bosien having passed away already, this is the ultimate legacy of KARO. „This way KARO comes full circle“, says „Karo“ Straub.

The Greek heavy/power metal band DIVINER just released a lyric video for "The Earth, The Moon, The Sun", the second single from their new album "Realms of Time".
"Realms of Time" will be released on June 7th via Ulterium Records. The album will be available on CD, LP and digital.
"Realms of Time" was produced and mixed by Fotis Benardo (ex. Septic Flesh), mastered by Henrik Udd (Powerwolf, Hammerfall, Myrath) and the artwork was created by Jan Yrlund (Battle Beast, Apocalyptica, Korpiklaani).
The album show improvements on every level since the band's debut album and the album won't leave fans of heavy and power metal disappointed. The album is heavy, melodic and epic and it’s full of energy, power and emotion. Follow Diviner into the Realms of Time!
Most should be aware of my admiration for all-star melodic rockers Alliance. The pitch perfect AOR vocals of Robert Berry are always welcome, but when he teams with David Lauser (Sammy Hagar) and class guitarist Gary Pihl (Boston, Sammy Hagar), there’s no stopping the flow of intelligent, well-crafted and challenging melodic rock music.
Fire And Grace is no different. Although a little rougher around the edges this time around, the album (minus past member Alan Fitzgerald) delivers the same classic sounding album you might expect. Berry provides all keyboard parts this time.
While the album is melodic rock and AOR with a prog twist at its best and harkens back to a simpler era of the early 80s, the sound isn’t dated – its just classic.
There are some stupidly good songs here. The driving opener Don’t Stop The Wheel Turning; the feel good anthemic 80s buzz of Good Life and the epic, mood driven dramatic ballad Uncertain all give the album a flying start.
Elsewhere the rhythmic free flowing Fire And Grace; hands in the air Raise Your Glass and the AOR perfection of Reason To Walk Away are all standouts amongst an album lacking any sign of filler.
Alliance have delivered one of the best AOR albums of the year so far, with track after track of engaging, intelligent songwriting here. No Alliance album has ever been a one-play and understand affair. They require a little effort and a little time, with the listening richly rewarded with layers upon layers of musical melody and brilliance.
