Follwing the release of the Sweden Rock news, Toto's Steve Lukather has updated fans with a little more information on what's to come.

 

He states: "As of 2015 the line up will be Me, Paich, Steve Porcaro, David Hungate, Joe Williams, Keith Carlock, Lenny Castro, Jenny Douglas and Mabvuto...FULL European tour to be announced asap. USA + world to come as well!"

 

Previously Luke has commented on the upcoming album, which will be released worldwide in February: "The record we're making is real hi-fi. It has that big, obnoxious production that people who love our music are really going to love: big harmonies, big synths, big guitars, big grooves, great virtuouso musicianship, and classic Toto melodies. Everybody sings on the record. It's very fresh-sounding."

WHITE WIDDOW were formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2008 and centered around the Millis brothers Jules (Vocals) & Xavier (Keyboards) with Guitar virtuoso Enzo Almanzi. Raised on a healthy diet of 80's Arena Rock and influenced by artists such as Survivor, Dokken, Night Ranger, White Sister & Giuffria.

In 2010 White Widdow stormed onto the Melodic Rock scene across the globe with the release of their self titled debut album, filled with swirling keyboards, blistering guitar playing and big choruses. The release of the debut was met by the press with rave reviews making it into Classic Rock Magazine's top 10 AOR albums for 2010.  Hot on the heels of their debut, White Widdow quickly returned with their follow up release 'Serenade' in September 2011. "Serenade" was heaped with praise by the press as one of the best albums in the genre of 2011, gaining 9/10 in both Classic Rock and Powerplay magazines and receiving a 94% on the coveted website melodicrock.com.

In support of "Serenade", White Widdow hit the road playing festivals and headlining club shows throughout Europe which saw them tour through Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Greece and England. Along the way performing at HEAT Festival (Germany) and Firefest (UK). This was followed in 2012 with a full tour of the UK as support band to English melodic rock band TEN.

White Widdow had initially hoped to release their third album at the end of 2013, however 2013 proved to be a difficult year for the band with original bass player Trent Wilson retiring from the music industry and the unfortunate death of drummer George Kristy. Despite these set backs, in early 2014 the Millis brothers and Almanzi regrouped with a rejuvenated new line up, featuring Ben Webster on Bass and Noel Tenny on Drums. The band set about making their third album 'Crossfire', which shows the band retaining their trademark keyboard driven Melodic Hard Rock. Showing at times a slightly more hard rock edge than on the previous albums, yet still drenched in melody and hooks. Produced & engineered by Xavier Millis and mixed once again by Pelle Saether (Grand Design), White Widdow are back with quite possibly their best album yet.

Our brother of the last 4 years, two albums and playing through out the United States will be moving on as we part ways. We wish David all the best in his endeavors both personal and musical. RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM FROM THREE LIONS FRONTMAN BAILEY, ENTITLED “LONG WAY DOWN”

 

 

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of the debut album from Bailey entitled “Long Way Down” on December 5th in Europe and December 9th in North America.

 

BAILEY is the new solo project masterminded by THREE LIONS frontman Nigel Bailey. Although a relatively new name on the scene, Nigel has a vast experience as both a songwriter and performer. His deal with Frontiers served to bring to light his shining talent both as a powerful vocalist and also as a songwriter. Brand new compositions along with some material written over the years have been combined to complete an exciting solo debut. “I wrote the bulk of the album songs between 2011 and mid 2012” says Nigel. “The plan was to write songs with no particular influences in mind. I have always loved rock music and wrote songs as they came to me. I didn’t have a particular style in mind which is reflected in the various styles on the record.”

 

With some similarities to THREE LIONS in terms of influences, BAILEY is slightly heavier and more varied in its approach whilst still maintaining the edge and the trademark melodies of Classic British Hard Rock tradition. “If pushed, I would say that In The Name Of The King, Long Way Down and Stay are my personal favourites and show the variety in my writing and vocal style” tells Nigel.  This record will be a surprise for many and an absolute must for all British Melodic Hard Rock fans!

RATED X was formed at the suggestion of, and under the guidance of Frontiers' President Serafino Perugino, and consists of singer Joe Lynn Turner, the former lead vocalist for both Rainbow and Deep Purple and a solo artist in his own right; drum legend Carmine Appice, (Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart, Blue Murder, King Kobra and others); Appice's former Blue Murder band-mate and bassist, Tony Franklin (best known for his work with The Firm, Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers, David Gilmour, Kate Bush, and Whitesnake); and long-time Turner collaborator and former member of Ace Frehley's band, guitarist Karl Cochran. Says Joe Lynn Turner: 'It's about a personal experience of mine and I think it relates to everyone. We all want to shine as individuals. Too many people were judging me and telling me how to look and how to act; basically it's about rebellion.' 'It has a really cool groove,' says Carmine Appice. 'I love the hook and I love what it is saying.' Much of the album was recorded in different cities, using current recording technology, however, it never strays from a solid band sound. 'The songs will stand by themselves,' says Karl Cochran.' They are strong songs.'

Adds Tony Franklin about the project: 'There is a lot of talent in this band and we respect each other. Some of us in this band have known each other for 20 to 30 years. So, it didn't feel like something that had just been put together randomly. It feels real.'
