Although they were lumped in with the glut of long-haired hard rock bands emerging in the early ‘90s, the band was always more forward thinking than their peers and the 2017 version of the band has a contemporary and edgy feel, while still retaining the patented powerful vocals of Miljenko. On “Through Worlds Of Stardust”, Miljenko has fused his past, present, and future together, creating an undeniable piece of hard rock music. Certainly fans of the band’s first three classic albums will be happy to hear those powerful pipes back in action, but fans of modern hard rock acts like Halestorm, Shinedown, Alter Bridge, and other melodic minded rock heavyweights will find much here to love.
Steelheart released their self-titled debut album in 1990 and based on the buzz around the hit single “I’ll Never Let You Go” was a smashing success (for example, 33,000 albums were sold in one day in Japan) and quickly reached platinum sales. Steelheart's sophomore album, "Tangled In Reins" was released in 1992 to critical acclaim and rave reviews, but moderate success in terms of sales in the U.S. (by early ‘90s standards) due to the well documented rise of grunge music; however, East Asia was a different story, where the band was widely embraced yet again. In the midst of promotion of the album, a serious accident happened on Halloween night in 1992, when an improperly secured lighting truss hit Matijevic on the back of the head, breaking his nose, cheekbone, jaw, and twisting his spine. Almost impossibly, Matijevic managed to walk off the stage of his own strength before being rushed to a hospital. "Steelheart" as it was known ended that night.
Four years later, Matijevic formed a new version of Steelheart with Kenny Kanowski (guitars), Vincent Mele (bass), and Alex Makarovich (drums) to record and release his third album, "Wait". The album was very different musically from the previous two albums, but featured the song “We All Die Young” (millions of streams and counting on Spotify) which was later included as a re-recorded version in the movie “Rock Star”, which saw Matijevic providing the singing voice for Mark Wahlberg's character. The movie soundtrack was performed by Matijevic (and Jeff Scott Soto) on vocals along with Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne's then guitarist and frontman of Black Label Society), Jeff Pilson (Dokken, Foreigner), and Jason Bonham.
Now the band once compared to Led Zeppelin by respected metal outlet Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles, is back with a sonic tour de force befitting of their stature. Don’t be foolish and dismiss this as just another “band from the ‘80s” as you will miss out on one of the most surprisingly robust and balanced hard rock albums of 2017! Highly recommended for fans of hard rock from then and NOW!

This is an interesting project put together by ex-Baron Rojo bassist, Gorka Alegre, in 2016.
This project enlists some of Spain's finest rock musicians along with a host of other well known guests.
Included in the line-up is Herman Rarebell who is ex-Scorpions drummer, Bill Leverty of Firehouse, on guitars and David Reece, ex-Accept and Bangalore Choir, providing duet vocals.
The handling of lead vocals and providing a contribution to songwriting is David Saylor, who was ex-Push UK.
The final result was undertaken over a 12 month period and was completed in 2017.
The finished hard rock album is superb, hard hitting and melodic. Once again, David Saylor's voice feels so much at home but moves in a different direction to his solo albums and other projects he was involved with in the past.
Zhenx is for fans who are into bands like Def Leppard and China, aswell as early Gotthard albums.
David Saylor passed away early 2017 and sadly, he never got to hear the final mix.

About Dizzy Reed:
Born in Hinsdale, Illinois and raised in Colorado, Dizzy started his musical journey in early childhood. His grandmother, who lived in the apartment above, played the organ, and taught Dizzy on her Lowry.
Growing up, Dizzy was exposed to his father’s love of Booker T and the MGs. Once young Dizzy realised that was the same instrument he could play, he was hooked. By the age of 12 he was touring with his band. Other early influences were John Lord, Gregg Rolie, and Grand Funk Railroad. In 1985, Dizzy moved to Los Angeles, where a wild, rich musical scene was hitting its stride.
“It was the place to be. There were thousands of bands from all over the world, trying to be the next big thing. There was an incredible amount of energy and it was magic.”
While rehearsing in a Hollywood practice room, Dizzy befriended Axl Rose, and in 1990 he joined Guns N’ Roses on keys, percussion and backing vocals.
In 2012, Dizzy was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses. He has toured with the Psychedelic Furs and has recorded and written with supergroup The Dead Daisies. He also sings lead vocals with his side project, Hookers and Blow.
Dizzy is a father of four and lives with his New Zealand-born wife, Nadja, in Los Angeles. On surviving and flourishing in rocks ‘sharky’ waters, he says, “Never stop learning and exploring, but don’t forget what you do best. Stick to your guns.”
Produced by Chris "The Wizard" Collier (Lynch Mob; Flotsam And Jetsam; Prong; KXM), “The Brotherhood” features eleven brand new hard rock tracks from Lynch Mob. This album will surely resonate with long time fans of the band, as well as those longing for that good ol' hard rock sound and feel. "The Brotherhood” highlights the unique pairing of Oni Logan and George Lynch, and along with Sean McNabb (bass) and Jimmy D’Anda (drums), the band has created a solid offering from start to finish. We come from the early 90’s and it's when we released the first Lynch Mob album which set a sound and course for us. Here we are 27 years later, George and I are still able to keep on stretching. As a player, as a writer, that is very important to us. Otherwise we would be fooling ourselves and fooling you”.
George Lynch adds, "We wrote this album as a band and the name of the record reflects what the band is about, and what all my bands have been about since I've been a kid. This is my second family. These are my brothers. You go through a lot together and have a lot of experiences together. And that then becomes a part of the music."

I know the biggest question going around right now – is WHEN will we hear the MRF5 details?
That’s a VERY good question!
I appreciate everyone’s patience. The lengthy process underway right now is necessary and extra special care is being taken to bring the very best possible lineup to both events.
I also want to ensure that the lineup announced is the lineup that turns up. Changes are always a risk with long term planning and so many artists, but MRF has a very good reputation for delivering what is promised.
Right now I am in the final stages of negotiations with several artists that will complete the lineup of MRF-USA.
Likewise for MRF-Scandinavia – but in that situation I’m working with Johan Nylen and the Rock Stage team to finalize all plans there.
I can confirm that the Malmo, Sweden event will take place May 31-June 2. That date is FINAL! The venue is booked and will be announced shortly.
MRF-USA is of course taking place May 4-6 at the site of MRF3&4 – H.O.M.E Bar Chicago in Arlington Heights.
There will be an event hotel, but don’t book yet…there will be a deal and it may not be the hotel from last time.
A couple of points I’d like to make for both shows in general:
- Ticket prices announced will be the same price right up until event weekend.
- There will be VIP options that embrace the whole event experience and once gone, are ALL GONE!
MRF-USA is set to feature a mix of classic, cult and new artists, from within the USA and around the world – more international acts than any other show to date!
As final details fall into place, at this stage I envision a lineup announcement at the end of this month and tickets on sale a couple of weeks after that.

Offering unique, official band merchandise that stands out from the crowd
On July 1,One Riff Merchandising launched its web store offering unique, official band merchandise to fans. Featuring Multi instrumentalist/Producer/Song writer Jean Beauvoir (ex Plasmatics, co-writer KISS/The Ramones), One Riff Merchandising also added to their roster Jean’s other band projects in Voodoo X and Crown of Thorns.
The online retailer offers official merchandise fully endorsed by the artists including T-shirts, posters, and guitar pick sets.
One Riff Merchandising is the brainchild of Tasmanian brothers Darren and Todd Dewis, who saw a niche in the industry and wanted to bridge the gap between band and fan.
“Official band merchandise has always been in our blood. Our first taste of band memorabilia came in 1980 when KISS toured Australia for the first time. The amount of merchandise was overload. The band was larger than life and their merchandise reflected that. It gave us our first taste, and we wanted everything.” – Darren (co-founder)
The brothers decided to bridge the gap that would allow bands to offer unique, official merchandise to their fans.
“Over the years we noticed a lot of bands overseas didn’t offer this type of merchandise on their websites. For fans living outside the U.S or Europe it was hard to get to shows, so you couldn’t even get a basic tour t-shirt. We are all about giving those fans an opportunity to own some cool products.” – Todd (co-founder)
One Riff Merchandising didn’t want to just offer basic band tees to the fans. They wanted to take things to another level. The two brothers came up with the art conception, and then enlisted the help of a design team in Europe to bring their ideas to life. They wanted the designs to be more works of art, just the way old LP covers used to be, offering fans something unique that would stand out from the crowd. They have also included in their merchandise range collectables not offered by artists like Jean Beauvoir before, including signed hand written lyrics, and a 12 track custom logo USB stick with track by track commentary by the artist.
Dan Reed’s fourth solo album ‘Confessions’ will be available for worldwide pre-order through the Dan Reed Store from Wednesday 5th July, before it is officially released on Friday 15th September.

For Confessions, Dan wanted to create a genuine solo album to push his own comfort zone as a keyboardist and guitarist, creating something entirely from self-expression. Reed performed all the live instruments and vocals, and also programmed the beats and synth parts.
The album features special guest appearances by guitarists Rob Daiker, Geoff Tyson and Martin Tidmarsh.

They say that necessity is the mother of invention. Well, American Mafia was born out such necessity. In may 2009, the band holy water released "The collected sessions" (Perris) placing their previously unreleased, but much sought-after music in a legitimate €˜Archive.' the cd received rave reviews:

"The collected sessions" was originally supposed to be a teaser while Holy Water got busy recording a new album featuring many of the songs they'd written over the years, but never properly recorded. But when original Holy Water vocalist David Knight sadly committed suicide in early 2014, guitarist Tom Jude (ex-Doro Pesch) and bassist Freddy Villano (ex-Quiet riot / Widowmaker) were faced with a dilemma: abandon the project, due to the seemingly insurmountable obstacle of replacing knight, or forge ahead. the duo opted to move forward and "The collected sessions" became holy water's swan song, rather than teaser.
In Knight's absence, Jude and Villano decided to ditch the Holy Water moniker and enlist not one, but several, of contemporary rock music's premier vocalists to help complete the record they'd already started. The names should be familiar to just about any hard rock aficionado: John West (Badlands/Artension/Royal hunt), Jimmy Kunes (Cactus/Flood the engine), Don Chaffin (Vox/Red lamb), Mike Dimeo (Riot/Masterplan/The lizards) and Ed Terry (Rondinelli/Rage & beyond). All were invited to not only sing, but also write their own lyrics and melodies. they re-branded this new union of rock n' roll rogues American Mafia and the resulting album, "Rock n' roll hit machine", released in August 2014 on Grooveyard records, earned rave reviews, with Ross Welford from Uberrock saying, "this plays like the best classic rock album you've never heard", and comparing it to Bad Company, Aerosmith, Foreigner, Whitesnake, Rainbow and Tesla.
In 2016, Jude and Villano, along with vocalist Don Chaffin and drummer Bobby Marks, assembled to record a five-song EP follow-up to "Rock n' roll hit machine," aptly titled, "Made in New York". In early 2017 American Mafia signed with Lions Pride Music, who will release "Made in New York" on September 25th. The first single, "Ride on through", will be available sometime in July.
