We're excited to announce the release details & cover art for our upcoming fourth album "Silhouette". The new album will be released at the end of November, once again on the AOR Heaven Label & features a song contribution from Erik Grönwall & Jona Tee from the Swedish Hard Rock band H.E.A.T.

RIOT V to perform select number of 'Fire Down Under' shows with guitarist Rick Ventura

U.S. Metal legends RIOT V are performing the entire 'Fire Down Under' album for a limited number of dates with original 'Fire Down Under' guitarist Rick Ventura.
Including a set at the Loud Park Festival in Japan.

These are sure to be special shows not to miss!

The dates are:

Sept 30 Houston, Texas - The Scout Bar.
Oct 1 San Antonio, Texas - The Rock Box
Oct 2 Ft Worth/Dallas, Texas - The Rail Club

TOTO were forced to cancel; their Denver gig last night due to singer JOSPEH WILLIAMS taking Ill and being briefly hospitalised. But he's doing ok - here's his update:
 
To the wonderful Toto fans, friends and family,
Last night in Denver I experienced my first real bout of altitude sickness! That, plus some dehydration that I wasn’t keeping track of, concerned me enough to get checked out by a doctor at the local hospital as the paramedics on site deemed it a necessary precaution. 
Ultimately docs said I was totally fine, told me to drink more water and sent me back to the tour bus.
I am AOK and will see everyone at the show tomorrow night in Salt Lake City!
I am SO sorry for scaring folks and for the inevitable cancellation of our show in Denver. 
I promise at the earliest opportunity we will return to Colorado to make it up to all of you who came out to see us.
Big thanks all of you and my brothers and sisters in Toto for the amazing show of support.

THE BAND SOTO - Featuring The Vocals Of JEFF SCOTT SOTO - LEAVES LABEL, NEW ALBUM IN THE WORKS

HOLLYWOOD, CA (August 26, 2016) - The band SOTO, featuring veteran vocalist Jeff Scott Soto, recently parted ways with their label after 2 slamming albums Inside The Vertigo and DIVAK. The band is in preparations for additional touring in 2017 beginning February 10 in Wolverhampton, U.K.  In addition, the band is working on their 3rd album, while locking in a new home for it.
Coming off a busy year of touring world-wide, the band will hit the studio to write, and record much anticipated new music. This third, yet untitled album, will follow up both Inside The Vertigo and DIVAK with a much heavier direction than the previous two albums.

Hi folks...
On Tuesday our little guy Toby was admitted to hospital. He's still there and he's getting great care and will be home soon.
As you can appreciate, work takes a backseat and Toby will require some extra special attention for a little while at least.
So while I will do my best to post updates and respond to emails and process orders placed, please forgive any delays and know that I will get to these tasks whenever possible.
There's a bunch of orders that need posting out and a few hundred emails waiting, plus news to catch up on....

BONFIRE now complete ...... !!!
 
Because of the sudden departure and separation from David Reece after two very successful charting CDs GLÖRIOUS & the double album PEARLS the place of the lead vocalist and Frontman of BONFIRE became vacant.
Originally BONFIRE found a new shouter in Michael Bormann, however, prior obligations kept him from starting his duties with Bonfire until mid-October 2016.
 
As so-called "transition singer"  ALEXX STEEL (MASTERS OF DISGUISE, ROXXCALIBUR) spontaneously offered  his help so BONFIRE where able to play  the agreed 16 summer events .
ALEXX STAHL uses this time and concerts in order to sing himself into the hearts of the fans and the band members.
That he is a great musician, BONFIRE knew, but that it would also function as human friendly and makes so much fun to work with him to act and to travel, that was already a pleasant surprise.Alexx is a real gentleman!
 
Therefore, the musicians around band founder HANS ZILLER decided to undertake Alexx permanently as the new Bonfire singer.
Our big thank you goes to  Michael Bormann - which is certainly an absolute exceptional singer , and this he has been proved for years in various projects - for  his willingness to enter into BONFIRE and also for his understanding to our final decision and wish him for his future musical path only the very best. And we all mean that honestly !!!!!
 
The new BONFIRE - STUDIO ALBUM appears in the March / April 2017

Reviews will return next week. My apologies, but the last 4 weeks have been filled with a lot of family stuff. I have more reviews to catch up on than at any point in 20 years of doing this.

Up and coming British rockers RavenEye have unveiled a stirring new video exclusively with Kerrang! Hero is taken from their highly-anticipated debut record, NOVA, which will be out on September 23 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Speaking about the song, singer/guitarist Oli Brown says: 'Hero, ironically, is inspired by the idea of complacency and how it can lull one into feeling bigger than who one really is and for all the wrong reasons. RavenEye is driven by the idea of pushing harder everyday, rather than taking a backseat to other people's efforts. Believing you're the hero ' while others are left to pick up the pieces and fix the 'wreckage left behind'.'

Former Nightwish singer Anette Olzon just recorded her vocal parts for a new version of Secret Sphere's Lie To Me.
 
Originally included on the album 'Portrait of a Dying Heart', the video for this song has over 800,000 views on YouTube (video link here https://youtu.be/Qy98zDaGRmw). The new version, featuring a duet between Anette and singer Michele Luppi (also keyboard player with Whitesnake), will be released as a special bonus studio track on the band's forthcoming live album which is coming this fall. Stay tuned for more news on that...

We are pleased to release on behalf of Iconic Eye the wonderful cover of the Python Lee Jackson classic "In A Broken Dream"

Greg Dean Said " When we recorded our current album "Hidden in Plain Sight", we realised that we are a new band and that people would need a cover song so that they could work out if they wanted to hear more; and to allow us to appeal to mainstream radio which may then lead to a bigger impact on the market.

Our singer, Tim, joined the band part way through the recording and this song was his suggestion. "In a Broken Dream", by Python Lee Jackson is an epic cross-over song, and was also covered by Thunder; so the pedigree of the song is a given".
Tim felt that this song gave a great opportunity to show off all aspects of the band but in particular his voice, which after all is what attracts people to want to hear more. It has turned out to be a favourite live and we hope that its release on Monday 4th July allows the band to attract many new listeners.

Dokken front man and name sake Don Dokken called into the Classic Metal Show to make the official announcement that the most popular Dokken line-up featuring Don Dokken (vocals) George Lynch (guitar) Jeff Pilson (bass & backing vocals) and Mick Brown (drums) will be reuniting in October for a series of dates in Japan. Meat Loaf collapsed Thursday night due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

He was admitted to a nearby hospital to undergo routine tests. His vital signs are stable and normal — additional tests are being performed but he is responsive and recovering well.

He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone's support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery.

Any concert postponements / rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time.

FM / Dare / Stone Broken

FM announce a very special show on Saturday 1st October at Warrington Parr Hall. Special guests for this show will be Dare.

This show will see these two iconic British bands FM and Dare playing together for the first time ever. "We are very pleased to be hooking up with our old mates Darren, Vinny and the boys for this special occasion". FM also welcome to open the show a band with a big future ahead of them Stone Broken.
