Three of metal’s finest vocalists, known collectively as THE THREE TREMORS - Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH, DIO DISCIPLES), Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin (JAG PANZER, SATAN’S HOST, TITAN FORCE), and Sean "The Hell Destroyer" Peck (CAGE, DENNER/SHERMANN, DEATH DEALER) - Steel Cartel Records have announced the Friday, November 15th, 2019 release of a 3-disc digipak, called ‘THE THREE TREMORS-THE SOLO VERSIONS.’

Each of the three singers perform the entire self-titled debut album alone, adding their own stylings and nuances to all 12 of the songs. This brings a fresh and completely new take on the ground-breaking debut release, and all three versions are incredible in their own right. Also included are 3 live bonus tracks recorded from their US tour. Each of the discs has brand new original artwork from DUSAN MARCOVIC, and reflects the monstrous nature of this endeavor.

Bonus Tracks for Solo Versions:
Invaders From The Sky Live
When the Last Scream Fades Live
The Three Tremors Live

Included in the set is all new artwork and packaging, 3 separate discs (The Ripper version, The Tyrant Version, The Hell Destroyer Version), 3 live bonus tracks, and all new photographs.

The order link can be found here at http://www.thethreetremors.com/site/store.html

The Hell Destroyer: "We each sang and recorded the entire album and so much great material got left on the cutting room floor because of how we pieced together the original release. I felt we had a really cool product that we could put together and I started working with Dave Garcia to mix them and assemble them. We contacted the artist and had him paint some incredible cover art to match the ferocity of the recordings."

Ripper: "Everyone each had their own amazing version of the album and I was hoping we would find a way to get them released and now here they are."

The Tyrant: "This is a really cool, unique product that as a metal fan myself would want to have. The different approach we each took to the songs makes each version really fresh and interesting. Each guy really did a great job and it is definitely a trip the metal fan is going to enjoy."

Additionally, the band will be embarking on a European tour in November. The trio will be hitting several new territories as they seek to expand their reach to the European metal fans. The dates below are confirmed with more to be announced.

Ripper: "Excited to return to Europe and play to the fans now that the album has been out for a while now. We will be bringing some new surprises and changing up the set a bit from the last run out there we did. See you in the pit!"

The Tyrant: "I did a run with Jag Panzer earlier this year, and I am happy to tell all the people I met out on the road and asked about the Tremors return, that yes the Tremors are coming back to kill! See you in November!"

The Hell Destroyer: "Well we have been non-stop working on material since we did the US Tour and planning these dates and our return to Europe as one of our top priorities. We are supporting the SOLO VERSIONS release and will have the digipaks for sale out on the road along with some killer merchandise with the new cover artwork. I am stoked we are hitting a lot of places that we missed on the first run. Bring every metalhead you know because this is unlike any show you have ever seen!"

The mighty Metal goddess Tarja adorns the cover of the latest star studded issue of Fireworks Magazine. She rubs shoulders in our 148 colour pages alongside the multitalented collective that is the Michael Schenker Fest who are back with a brand new album called 'Revelation'. Beloved British rockers Thunder talk about celebrating 30 years in the business but that is eclipsed by the institution that is Status Quo, who return with their 33rd album, and their first new material since the passing of Rick Parfitt.

Elsewhere we have the likes of Black Star Riders, Hammerfall, Alter Bridge, Skillet, Eclipse, Volbeat, Steve Vai and more - 34 interviews in total! It doesn't end there either, as within our features we have a guide to the studio output of beloved Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes and a look at some of the ladies of the genre via Rob Evans' Sisters In Rock. This issue also sees the final part of the popular feature The Divine Decade, penned by Dave Reynolds, bringing things to a close with his report on the events of 1983.

As usual, the issue is bolstered by a massive reviews section, dwarfing that of any other music magazine on the market. If it's out there, chances are it's in here and we'll give you an honest view of what it's like, whether your tastes are Classic Rock, AOR, Metal, Blues, Southern, Progressive or Symphonic. Just no growling, we're not really into that.

Oh yes, it also comes with a free CD, which gives you 93 songs to try. All for a meagre £5.99. If there's better value to be found in another magazine, we'd like to know where!

New single from Åge Sten Nilsen out now: https://orcd.co/dontbeleave
Add it to your playlists now or download it. "baby don't be leave" is the first taste from Age’s fifth solo ‘Crossing The Rubicon’, out on Grappa Musikkforlag October 25.

Translated description: “This is a happy-pop in the 60s Spirit, but with a gloomy and bizarre text about a delicate soul that refuses to let go of her girlfriend, no matter the price. Since the last solo - unexpected acoustic and MELANCHOLIC SMOOTH SEAS DON'T make good sailors - åge has now bevegd closer to an electric 60 s-expression, although several sounds have a clear and natural belonging to the previous album.”

From WILDNESS:

We are sorry to announce that Wildness and lead vocalist Gabriel Lindmark have decided to go separate ways. We've had an amazing journey together, but with time it has become more and more apparent that our creative differences have set us on different paths.

Gabriel is an incredible singer and we wish him the best of luck with his future projects!

We will continue our work with the new album, stay tuned for more info!

Sincerely,
Erik, Adam, Marcus and Pontus
Wildness

From GABRIEL:

Today I have to announce that I and the boys in Wildness have decided to go separate ways.
It’s sad that it had to end like this, but apparently we want different things and have lost the team spirit and understanding of each other along the way.

Still, I wish the boys all luck in life and that the band keeps going.

Most of all i would like to thank all of you guys who’ve supported me all those years. You all have been amazing to me and I hope to see you on the road soon again!

To be continued...

It’s time for change.

After lengthy consideration, I have decided to revamp the MelodicRock website once again, to better serve readers and to also better serve myself.

Things have changed so quickly over the past few years. Today so many rely solely on their Facebook feeds, with almost all industry wide advertising income being spent on that platform.

Adding to that has been my increased focus on MelodicRock Records, which has taken away the time I had to do the things I enjoyed most – CD Reviews and breaking news.

These days there is rarely a chance to break news. Back when I started this website, the internet was like the wild west. Today information is so tightly controlled, and band/management paranoia is beyond comparison to the past.

But there are still Reviews - the most requested content from everyone. And with more releases than ever before, the need for straight, honest and impartial reviews is critical.

So the time has come to rethink how the site works, how it is financed and how I can best add original content such as reviews, in a more timely fashion.

I will announce revamp details in the coming week or two.

The two things I love most in this business is developing and introducing new artists and new projects via MRR and writing (reviews and more).

To best facilitate both these aspects I have decided the revamp the website as I’ve just announced.

Plus: I have sold the MelodicRockFest name entirely. I no longer have any desire to organise and execute festival events but have found the perfect team that does. They have decades of industry experience between them and I will remain a go-between for organizers and artists and act as a consultant to ensure future shows follow the blueprint of past MRF events. We start with MRFAU2 in Melbourne, March 2020.

In addition, I have decided to bring the new Australian owners of MRF in to partner in MelodicRock Records. I will announce details soon, but you may have noticed the void in announcements for upcoming releases. It was necessary to clear the decks to create a new start point for the label.

My role with the new company will be Head of A&R – assigned to work on signing new artists and developing new titles – the two things I love the most. Manufacturing, shipping, invoicing, ordering and distribution and will be handled by the new partners. There are already some great plans for the label and projects coming together.

So stay tuned…. changes are coming on all fronts!

The Dead Daisies are a musical collective, whose members come together through a common love for great rock music. It’s a living, breathing, musical organism with the credo, “Rock is indeed alive & well!”

From the band’s inception, the idea was for members to bring their own ideas to the table but also have the flexibility to come and go when working on their other projects.

Both John and Marco are, and always will be, a part of The Dead Daisies musical family, but at this point in time they have decided to do some work on their own solo projects.

Yes, the guys have recenty been in the studio in LA recording some new music with legendary singer & bass player Glenn Hughes. ‘Righteous Days’ is airing exclusively across the planet this week.

David, Doug, Deen & Glenn head back into the studio later in the year to finish the album and look forward to seeing you on the road in 2020!!

Get out there, live your life and just enjoy the music!!

This self-titled debut album from Hardware ’86 is all about capturing the sound and vibe of late eighties melodic rock and AOR music, staying true to both the sound production aesthetics and the genre. Four of the songs comes from Sigurd´s master thesis at NTNU back in 2012, where Rune contributed with songwriting, guitars and some vocals. The scope of the project was to recreate the sound of the late eighties soft rock productions, which both of us had a big heart for. In addition to those four songs, we made the nostalgic song ‘Summer of ’91’ (2016), which is about an eighties rocker that is sensing a change in the music scene, and especially ‘Nirvana’´s big breakthrough with the album ‘Nevermind’ at the end of 1991. So, the summer of ’91 was the last summer before eighties rock finally got outdated, at least when it comes to the big commercial side. The last song, ‘Share This Love’, is inspired by the Swedish AOR band, Work of Art, which we were completely blown away by the first time we heard it.

Influences for the album: Toto, Journey, Def Leppard, Bad English, Work of Art, Vince DiCola, Starship, Van Halen, TNT

BIO:
The band Hardware ’86 takes you back to the sound and vibe of the late 1980’s hard rock scene. They celebrate a shameless cocktail of heavy guitars, soft synths, melodic leads and big 80s drums. The band consist of Rune Aalberg Alstad (guitar / vocals) and Sigurd Ekle (bass / vocals) and misc session musicians (complete list below).

Rune and Sigurd met at NTNU (Norwegian University of Technology and Science), while they studied Music technology together. They had a common musical passion for shameless eighties melodic rock, totally different (and "forbidden") from the rest of the students making electro acoustic music ('pling-plong') and putting microphones on a bathtub!

Rune managed to convince Sigurd to do a master thesis where the aim was to recreate the sound of the late eigthies sound aestehtics. This was the start of the band. We had a lot of fun exploring eigthies sounds and vibes, and writing, recording and producing eighties songs. We even got to know the secret recipe behind the famous guitar sound on the song 10000 Lovers (in one) by TNT, and recreated this process in the studio. Check out the monster guitar sound in the song T L M from our current album release.

See you back in ’86!

LOS ANGELES (August 23, 2019) – When you’re a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, you don’t have a lot to prove. But legendary singer-songwriter and keyboardist Gregg Rolie, who holds that rare distinction as a founding member and original lead vocalist of both Santana and Journey, and who has also been a mainstay of Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band since 2012, demonstrates that he’s at the top of his game with the release of Sonic Ranch (Megaforce Records), his first feature-length studio album in 18 years.

“I didn’t plan on taking so long to record a new album,” Rolie says. “The simple fact is, I’ve been working. I’ve been writing songs over the years, and we recorded half of them by 2013. Then I got busy touring with Ringo, and I took part in the Santana reunion, Santana IV. Everything took time. Finally, when Santana IV was done, I could get back to finishing the record.”

Rolie recorded the album at several studios in Texas: RMG Studio and Arylyn Studios in Austin, and the Sonic Ranch in Tornillo (the latter of which inspired the record’s title). His son, Sean, served as the main producer, with addition production handled by Chris “Frenchie” Smith and Daniel Sahad. A wide range of Rolie’s illustrious musician friends contributed to Sonic Ranch – among them are his onetime Santana mate Michael Shrieve on drums, as well as bass extraordinaire Alphonso Johnson. And he features not one, but two guitar heroes: Steve Lukather, who plays on the gutsy blues rocker “They Want It All” and the stunning album opener, Give Me Tomorrow,” and fellow Journey alum Neal Schon, who appears on the soulful ballad “Breaking My Heart” and the sinuous groover “Lift Me Up.”

Sonic Ranch’s first single is “What About Love.” The thunderous sing-along epic sees Sean Rolie displaying his own formidable guitar chops. “The song inspired by Ringo Starr and his message of peace and love,” Rolie explains. “I had started writing it, and I would and play around with it at soundchecks with Ringo. It sounded really good, so I took it home, found the bassline, and Sean produced and engineered it. There’s 15 lead vocals on it. Sean played the guitar solo and said, ‘It’s a little out of tune.’ I said, ‘It’s perfectly out of tune. Let’s go!’ He’s such a great player.”

Rolie wrote all of the 13 tracks on the album, with the exception of “They Want It All,” which he penned with Andre Pessis and Kevin Chalfont, and the piano-driven show stopper “Look into the Future,” which he co-wrote with Diane Valory and Neal Schon – the song originally appeared on Journey’s album of the same name in 1976. “I always liked that track and was waiting for a chance to re-arrange it and record my own version of it.” In addition, Rolie re-images Elvis Presley’s classic “Don’t Be Cruel” as a mid-tempo gospel tune, and his spine-tingling vocal performance would draw a nod of approval from the King. “I used to play it in the same manner for encores with my quartet, and it always went over beautifully, so I decided to end the record with it,” Rolie says. “I’ve got the same group of guys on it – Alan Haynes on guitar, drummer Ron Wikso and bassist Sticky Lopez.”

“I’m pretty fortunate to have such good friends who are also some of the best musicians on earth,” says Rolie. “These songs mean a lot to me, and I’m very proud to be putting them out. To have such amazing players helping me to make them a reality is an amazing thing. The album wouldn’t have turned out so well without them.” “What About Love” can be streamed at Spotify . Sonic Ranch is available at iTunes and Amazon.

PR / For us it might sound like a well-earned break for the Swiss rock heroes – but for GOTTHARD themselves that simply doesn’t exist. At the end of the day their focus is always rock'n'roll and new songs. In other words: GOTTHARD are back in the studio!

The release of the upcoming full-length album is set for early 2020 and the band will also embark on an extensive headline tour through Europe in support of it.

But considering it's still a little while until the upcoming album will see the light of day, you can get your fill of GOTTHARDas they perform selected festival and club shows throughout 2019. Whilst Hena is out of action looking after his newly born second child, he will be replaced on the road for this year's shows by a good friend and worthy replacement, HELLOWEEN drummer Dani Löble.
