The Wildhearts are proud to announce the release of the Diagnosis mini album on October 4 through Graphite Records. This six track mini album, features five brand new songs and is released as a limited edition special white vinyl with pale blue powder splatter 10’’ (to look like a pill) and as a regular black vinyl 10” and CD.  All 3 physical formats will also include an exclusive bespoke inner gatefold comic strip illustrated by the award winning Hunt Emerson, who last worked with the band on the Earth Vs’ cover and their classic logo.
 
The Diagnosis mini album follows the success of Renaissance Men, their first full-length studio album in 10 years, which gave the band’s classic line up of Ginger, CJ, Ritchie and Danny, their highest chart entry since 1994’s P.H.U.Q, when it debuted at number 11.
 
To coincide with the Diagnosis announcement The Wildhearts have unveiled a new video for Renaissance Men:

Well, we've not only gone back in to the studio to record 5 new songs that will be released as the Diagnosis mini album in October, we're hitting the road too. The lead track Diagnosis is about “mental health institutions and the medical health profession in this country, and about how it's letting people down. How the system is broken, and how the suicide rate is not getting any less. 
Depression and mental illness isn't an issue that attacks any one type of person. Whether you're homeless or if you're rich,  this illness is taking people out on a regular basis. The government has pulled most of the funding into mental health research, and as a result people are still ignorant about it.
Education is everything. And the more people talk about depression, the more need there'll be for education, and the more people will want educating about an issue that doesn't just affect the people suffering from it, but it affects everyone around them. 
And when someone is in a desperate position and their hope is taken away, then they're at the mercy of an illness that wants them dead. There's nothing more important in the world than education on mental health issues.” - Ginger Wildheart

Stardom beckoned for Heavy Pettin‘ back in the early 80’s with arena tours supporting Kiss, Ozzy and Mötley Crüe and along with the help of MTV, the band scored a couple of Stateside hits.
In 2017, original members Hamie, Punky, and Gordon joined by Jez Parry on bass and Michael Ivory on drums performed for the first time in 25 years. Reinvigorated, HEAVY PETTIN‘ , joined by ex-Gun guitarist Dave Aitken due to Punky hanging up his guitar and going in to retirement, did several shows in 2018 and 2019.

According to Hamie, fans should look for a bit of 4PLAY “'the demmand and support for new HEAVY PETTIN‘ material has been so overwhelming, we are excited to say we’re now working on brand new HEAVY PETTIN‘ material which will be released in 2019' and it'’s going great!”

Swedish Melodic Rock legend ALIEN’S "Anniversary Tour" is now completed, and Alien -the original line-up - has come to an end.
 
The band says: “We performed our very last show together at the Helgeå Festival on July 6th. Our heart full thanks go out to all our fans for supporting us for the last 10 years.”
 
Alien is now moving on to a new phase. A new album will be recorded this summer and due to differences in how their music should develop, two original members, Ken Sandin and Jimmy Wandroph, have decided to no longer be a part of the group. AlIEN is from now on Jim Jidhed, Tony Borg and Toby Tarrach.
 
The band wishes Ken and Jimmy the best of luck in their future projects.
 
Alien will also like to take this opportunity to announce that the producers of the forthcoming album will be Niclas Engelin from In Flames, founder of the band Engel and We Sell The Dead and Oscar Nilsson from Engel.

The next EDGE OF FOREVER album ”Native Soul” will be released on December 6, 2019. Ahead of the release, the song "Take Your Time", was released - a tribute to Marcel Jacob, who passed away 10 years ago today. The song will appear on the new album.
 
Here’s a message from Alessandro Del Vecchio about the song:
 
"It's no secret that Marcel Jacob was essential to my career. Who knows my story is aware of how close Marcel and I were. He was my mentor and my friend and I wouldn't be here if he didn't take the bet on me and Edge Of Forever 16 years ago. I was just a punk from Italy but he listened to a demo I gave him at a concert and invested his time and talent on our music. I still cherish the times we spent in the studio, on the road and those sessions with Jeff Scott Soto who joined us for the recordings. On July 21st 2009 we were all hit by the sad news of his passing and still today that void is impossible to fill. I still believe Marcel has been the unsung hero of our genre, genius player, writer, producer and a very loyal friend. I always felt I was never able to find a way to thank him enough but I think he would be proud of seeing where I am today. "Take Your Time" is my letter to Marcel, a letter a friend who changed my life and my carrier. Thank you Marre, I hope you really found your peace of mind, wherever you are now. We miss you!"

Swedish heavy metal heroes SABATON release their new album "The Great War", on Friday July 19, 2019 on Nuclear Blast. It promises to be one of the biggest Metal albums of 2019.
 
The release of SABATON’s ninth full-length record perfectly coincides with the band’s 20th anniversary and the concept album is based on events during the First World War. The band started the recordings exactly 100 years after the end of the First World War (11/11/1918) and took 3 months of intensive work to complete the album together with their long-term producer and partner Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge studios. Furthermore, the album has been mastered by Maor Appelbaum and the artwork was once again created by Peter Sallaí. "This is not the first time we have sung about stories from this period in time, but now we felt the timing was right to make a full concept album about this war", explain the band.

BÖC is often cited as a major influence by other acts such as Metallica, and BÖC was listed in VH1's countdown of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.
 
Upon the release of BÖC's self-­‐titled debut album in 1972, the band was praised for its catchy-­‐yet-­‐heavy music and lyrics that could be provocative, terrifying, funny or ambiguous, often all in the same song. BÖC's canon includes three stone-­‐cold classic songs that will waft through the cosmos long after the sun has burned out: The truly haunting "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" from 1976's Agents of Fortune, the pummeling "Godzilla" from 1977's Spectres and the hypnotically melodic "Burnin' for You" from1981's Fire of Unknown Origin. Other notable BÖC songs include "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll," "Then Came the Last Days of May," "I Love the Night," "In Thee,""Veteran of the Psychic Wars," "Dominance and Submission," "Astronomy," "Black Blade" and "Shooting Shark."

Building upon the success of their 2014 self-titled debut album and 2017 sophomore release Scatterbrain, KXMreturns with their third studio album, Circle Of Dolls, which is scheduled for release on September 13, 2019. KXM is comprised of Dug Pinnick of King’s X on vocals/bass, George Lynch of Lynch Mob/Dokken on guitars and Ray Luzier of Korn, on drums. Circle Of Dolls features 13 new tracks and was recorded at the Steakhouse Studio in North Hollywood California, where the band once again tapped Chris “The Wizard” Collier to engineer and co-produce the new effort. Ray Luzier comments, “There’s a certain energy that happens in the studio very quickly when George, Dug and I get together and jam.
 
This is our 3rd record and it was recorded with the same formula as the first two albums, no pre-written ideas, we just come up with totally fresh grooves & riffs and not over think anything. We definitely didn’t repeat ourselves, but you know for sure who it is when you hear it, all 3 records have their own unique character".George Lynch adds, “It’s better than the first two albums. It's insane, the magic is there, the chemistry's there and we're just sitting here patting ourselves on the back, telling each other what geniuses we are.” Says Dug Pinnick, “I hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as we enjoyed recording it!”
 
From the infectious riff of the album opener “War of Words”, to the album finale of “The Border”, KXM have again created something truly special and musically diverse. Songs like “Lightning”, “Big As The Sun”, and “Cold Sweats” are sonically different from each other taking the listener on a musical journey.  Circle of Dolls is a darker record thematically than their first two albums and builds upon the established KXM rock sound with thought provoking lyrics, catchy guitar riffs and rock-solid grooves.

Swedish rock band Eclipse announced today that their new single, 'United' has been named the official theme song for DreamHack Showdown: a new CS:GO Tournament.

Dreamhack, the world's largest video game festival organizer chose the song 'United' after hearing an advanced copy of Eclipse's upcoming album, PARADIGM. "We ran across 'United' pretty much by accident. A colleague had it and played it in the car while traveling from one of our events. The minute we heard it we knew that this was the perfect song for Dreamhack Showdown," says Charlie Sirc, Dreamhack's Product Manager.
 
"'United' is a song about standing together when things come falling down. We may have had a more political perspective when writing it, but as always, what people read into lyrics is subjective. I think it works beautifully in this setting as well, and we are thrilled to be part of this massive movement that Dreamhack is fueling. Also, the fact that Dreamhack has chosen to focus on female players is an initiative that we wholeheartedly support, it’s about freakin’ time!" adds Eclipse frontman Erik Martensson.
 
Dreamhack Showdown is an all women CS:GO tournament with the biggest prize pool ever in all women CS:GO history. The tournament takes place in Valencia, Spain July 5 - 7th and will feature the world’s top women’s CS:GO teams competing for three days in front of live and online audiences.
 
'United' will appear on Eclipse's forthcoming new studio album, PARADIGM, which is scheduled for released on CD/LP/Digital on October 11, 2019 via Frontiers Music Srl. More details on the album will be released later this summer.
In addition to the release of the single, 'United', the band has previously announced the release of a special super limited edition 12" Picture Disc of the song "Viva La Victoria" b/w "Killing Me" (Sellout Version) on August 23, 2019. Hello everyone
 
We want to share with all you guys the news that Al has decided to leave the band. He has been finding it increasingly difficult to spend so much time away from home now that he lives in America.
 
We’re all going to miss him very much, not just what he brought musically but his company and character. His tireless efforts in helping with putting our albums together, social media, website, and promotional literature have always been massively appreciated, especially when we didn’t pay him for them (JK)!!
 
We wholeheartedly wish him the best in all his future projects both musical and personal. We’ll be keeping in touch, and for the time being he will still be helping out on Facebook.
 
Stepping in to his shoes we are pleased to announce that Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Unisonic) will be joining us effective immediately. We’ve already been working hard with him on the new album - due for release early 2020, with artwork by Rodney Matthews. We’re all very excited by this next chapter in the Great Adventure that is Magnum.

Following the success of his last single, “Keep Holding On”, Matthew Shad is proud to announce his new collaboration with Grammy Award winning Producer/Engineer Bob St. John.
Best known for his work with Extreme, Collective Soul & Duran Duran, St. John has also been behind the mixing console for Sir Elton John, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler & Journey's Steve Perry.
 
Shad & St. John will be hitting the studio this summer to record songs for a new SHAD album featuring Extreme’s Kevin Figueiredo on drums.  Completing the quartet is bassist Ryan Bruder & guitarist Saxon Kennedy.

Before a sold out show in his hometown Bochum, German Metal wizard AXEL RUDI PELL and the band received a special "30th Anniversary" award from their record company SPV/Steamhammer. This year marks his 30th year as a solo artist, the new live album "XXX Anniversary Live" is his 30th release and he is now for 30 years at SPV/Steamhammer. In these years he sold over 1.000.000 records and reached now nearly 40.000.000 streams.

The Tony Mills Festival is a celebration of Tony Mills life and music, organized by Black Swan Productions, that will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Al Luppolo Saloon in Roletto (TO), Italy, from 3:15 to 11:30PM, in the context of a larger 3-day biker fest.
 
There will be six bands, selected by a team of Italian record labels, playing a selection of their original material and Tony Mills songs from his different projects.
 
The festival will close with a rare headlining performance by Docker's Guild, who will present a special show made exclusively of material featuring the voice of Tony Mills (Docker’s Guild, Shy, TNT and solo works). As many of you already know, Tony Mills was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April 2019, so a huge fundraising effort is underway to collect as much money as possible for cancer research in Italy. Please show your love for Tony and support the cause! Also, visit the Official Facebook Page and follow all the news and updates.
