SCORPIONS 'Return To Forever' Tour Edition CD+DVD

The Scorpions are on the move!

After last year’s massive sold-out world tour, the band is back to rock stages even harder. On their gigantic 50th Anniversary World Tour that kicked off in 2015, the Scorpions are heading to Eastern Europe in February before returning to the US with an impressive five night run at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and playing even more shows in cities around the globe.

The Scorpions have been going full throttle for more than fifty years now, with their best-selling albums dominating the charts for over 500 weeks in Germany alone, and countless chart successes abroad, as well as thousands of unforgettable concerts in cities like Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Moscow, New York, Los Angeles, Paris or Berlin.

The Scorpions are and will be a band of superlatives. There is no other German band, which has gained as much international success and popularity over the course of so many decades. When the rock band from Hannover presented their 18th studio album “Return To Forever” for their 50th band anniversary one year ago, Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs displayed that they are unabatedly in formidable shape. Simply world class.
The Tour Edition of “Return To Forever” comes opulently stacked with two brand-new live DVDs and a CD and is bound to make fans’ hearts leap for joy. Apart from the standard album’s twelve tracks, the CD contains all seven bonus tracks, which to date, have only been released on special editions of the album. The live DVDs are even more expansive, offering generous bonus material.

Included are two complete concerts from last year: The open air gig at the French Hellfest Festival, where they headlined in June, and their show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York featuring an impressive guest performance on “No One Like You” by twelve-year-old guitarist Brandon Niederauer.

The brand-new fifteen-minute video documentary “On The Road in America” by Dennis Dirksen gets to the heart of the matter that the Scorpions are able to consistently attract new generations of fans, who are delighted by their songs, sound and shows. Shot during the current world tour in California and Las Vegas, it gives a voice to fans spanning from teenagers to rock ’n’ roll veterans. The film impressively shows how popular the Scorpions are in the US, and it’s touching to see fans burst into tears while taking photos with the musicians. One highlight is the story of the Ukrainian woman, who at the time used “Wind Of Change” as an impetus to emigrate to the US, and has been a dedicated follower of the band ever since. After all, the Scorpions have not only left their mark on history but continue to influence their fans’ biographies.

In an extensive track-by-track interview, Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs offer a sneak peak into the band’s musical universe with anecdotes about the origin and meaning of the songs on “Return To Forever”. The Scorpions manage to blend new songs like “Going Out With A Bang”, “We Built This House” and “Rock’n’Roll Band” seamlessly with their fulminant repertoire of rock classics from “Big City Nights” and “Blackout” to “Still Loving You” and “Rock You Like A Hurricane”. This might also be the open secret allowing The Scorpions to continuously approach their live shows with so much freshness, passion and conviction. Fans can look forward to the upcoming gigs - especially because the Tour Edition of “Return To Forever” is a timely release as the perfect souvenir. And now: It’s showtime for the Scorpions!

The “Return To Forever” Tour Edition will be available from March 11, 2016 as a 1 CD + 2DVD Digipack and as download.

Rick Springfield has never made the same album twice. Take a look back through his career, even as far back as his 1971 debut Beginnings, he has changed his sound continually along the way. There have been albums with a similar musical theme running through them, but never two records quite the same.

In recent years Rick has been more eclectic than ever. From the various sessions that formed the melodic introspect of Karma; to the straight up aggression and angst of Shock Denial Anger Acceptance; to the modern rock theme of the uptempo and personal Venus In Overdrive and Songs For The End Of The World albums – there’s always something new to digest.
In the same way that Karma followed the Sahara Snow compilation; Rick follows last year’s Stripped release with his brand new 18th studio album.

Rick continues his career renaissance with Rocket Science, an album that for me completes the trilogy of releases co-written with bassist Matt Bissonette. It really does continue the sound and style encompassed in Venus and Songs, albeit with a completely new twist.
A country twist.

That word frightens some, but it shouldn’t. Any long time Rick fan will already be comfortable with the notion as it has appeared as a musical influence before in the 70s, again in the 80s (What Kind Of Fool Am I) and even in the 90s with Karma (a very similar acoustic base used on several tracks).
And anyone that enjoyed the utterly brilliant Songs or Venus albums will find instant familiarity in Rocket Science, as the same pop base has been used with the songwriting. Essentially those two records are modern pop albums with heavier guitars.
Rocket Science is the exact same premise, just with a lighter, breezier feel and heavier emphasis on country influences.

It threw me at first, it really did. But after 3 or 4 listens it just sounded like Rick. Like it was something he’s been doing all along.
In fact it is a joy to hear Rick and Matt’s songs over the bed of instrumentation here, which includes the banjo, pedal steel, mandolin, fiddle and violin.

Rocket Science features some of the most unbelievably catchy songs of Rick’s career. It’s quite simply one hook after another from start to finish. The dressing may be different, but the main course is hit songs.

And the production and especially the mix on this album is sensational. It’s no easy feat to balance the many layers a Rick Springfield album always offers into a listenable package, but to go and add so many new instruments and make them all audible within the songs is, frankly, astonishing. Credit there goes to Nashville pro Justin Niebank, who Rick brought in for his expertise in working with the acoustic instruments.

The other immediately obvious aspect of the new album is the lyrical and music positivity. In Rick’s own words, he thought it time to stop ‘pissing and moaning’, which I think is an apt description of what this album doesn’t do. It really is so damn positive and the songs really give off that ‘up’ vibe. Some of the songs on here are simply some of the catchiest, happiest songs of Rick’s career.
And awesome to see longtime associates Tim Pierce and Jeff Silverman amongst the album credits.

Track by Track:

Light This Party Up is exactly what it sounds like – a concert anthem that’s just begging to be played loud. The title sounds country and the song is indeed that – but one of the more hard rocking country tracks I’ve heard and the steel guitar is turned to 11. It rocks along at a terrific pace and is the album’s most obviously simplistic lyric.

Down on the other hand is a wonderful complex, feel good lyric that for me has the exact same impact as track 2 on both Venus (I’ll Miss That Someday) and Songs (Our Ship’s Sinking). An uptempo anthem that has a lot of instrumentation going on under the vocal (as do all tracks), with the acoustic instruments overridden by electric ones in this instance. Another Rick classic.

That One is one of the stronger country themed tracks here, but it also features some modern production effects and something that Rick hasn’t done, that is, change his vocal delivery. So this is basically a Karma style mid-tempo modern pop song that is utterly addictive.
The chorus is impossible not to like and the lyrics are again personal and encouraging. The twang of steel guitar becomes less noticeable and sinks in as part of Rick’s natural sound.

The Best Damn Thing is another wonderful lyric wrapped in a feel good uptempo pop/country/rocker with another unforgettable singalong chorus.
Rick’s regular guitar sound mixes with mandolins and slide guitar seamlessly and while it’s one of the most obvious country tunes here, the fast moving tempo and catchiness is impossible to deny. It’s now one of my very favourites. Can you hear the reference to What Kind Of Fool Am I?

There’s always a left turn within a Rick album and there’s a few on this album. Miss Mayhem is one and the most stark. Starting with a banjo riff (yes!) over a swapy vocal, it then turns heavy with a bluesy hard driving riff and a chorus not like any other on the album. A good dose of guitar for those who might be craving such. A late-song vocal bridge is not unlike something from Sahara Snow.

Pay It Forward is pop perfection. Unbelievably catchy and driven by steel guitar, banjos and violins, the country themed pop rocker is brilliant. Impossible not to sing along to, this tune could be on pop or country radio alongside any modern artist. It reminds me heavily of The Hooters when they take on that Celtic sound so well.

Found is about as country as it gets. The acoustic based ballad is backed with every kind of Nashville instrument and overtone, with fiddle and violins at the forefront. But the vocal is so honest and pure; plus there’s another impossibly catchy hook. The song is every bit as essential as any other track here. It’s not a slow ballad by at stretch and features a full rounded chorus.

Crowded Solitude is another track that’s driven by country instruments and soul. More inspiring lyrics and a singalong barn dance style chorus makes for yet another very catchy track, even if it might be quite removed from what fans of a rockier Rick Springfield might wish for. For those that have liked the album so far, there’s no dip in quality here.

Let Me In is the re-recording of a bonus track from the last album. Another great example of how the style from Songs bleeds into Rock Science. This song is perfect for the format in play here. Rick’s vocal is warmer and richer and the added country influences make this another sure fire hit single given half the chance.

We talk about left turns on Rick albums all the time. All Hands On Deck is not only a left turn, it’s a complete U-turn from the middle lane on a crowded freeway.
This is simple extraordinary song and one of Rick’s fastest moving and catchiest songs ever. It is unlike anything he has ever recorded before.
Starting with a slow steel guitar intro and vocal, the song explodes into this crazy Celtic stomp that reminds me of an 18th Century sea shanty. It’s The Hooters meets Captain Pugwash with a gallon of rum thrown in. Brilliant.

We Connect is a song that will sound much more familiar to Rick fans. This is almost free of any country instrumentation. Rather it is a darker, heavier and moodier song that sounds like it could easily have come straight from Songs For The End Of The World. It’s another very fine addition to the folder of Rick angst songs and I’m sure will be a favourite for many. Wonderful haunting lyrics too.

(I Wish I Has A) Concrete Heart takes things back on message with a breezy acoustic driven pop/rock song with some modern production loops and personal lyrics. The chorus bursts to life with another instantly likeable hook. It’s just another brilliant song that follows a string of other brilliant songs.

Earth To Angel is the perfect way to close this amazing album. A breezy pop/country song with a more rocking chorus (catchy as always) that combines the influences of this album in a feel good song that again reminds me of The Hooters.

Unfortunately the only bonus track of the several listed available that I can comment on is the one with the Japanese version of the album. Jessie’s Girl (2016) is nothing like what I anticipated. It’s a complete reimagining of the song, with new bridge harmonies and a completely new musical bed that brings the song into a darker, modern realm, with increased programming and a huge new hook to really invigorate this old classic.
Makes me wonder what Rick could do with some of his other 80s classics. Next album perhaps?

And after 45 minutes (49 with the bonus track) the ride is over. It may be a hayride, but it’s a hayride with electric guitars, modern rock production, a million dollar mix and 13 of the catchiest songs you’ll hear from any one artist on one album.

I know what some will be thinking. If this is such a great album, surely I would be leaning towards other modern country artists to listen to. But no… It’s not the country style of this record that makes it great – it’s Rick’s lyrics, his vocal nuances and the mix of his recent style with something new. It all comes together to make a catchy as hell album whose songs would work in any style.

I can’t understate the brilliance of these songs. The style might not suit everyone, but I have to think that this could be the best produced album of Rick’s career. Everything is just packed in so brilliantly, with all instruments clearly audible and Rick’s vocal performance is one of a 30 year old.

The country influences might turn some away, but they will be the folks missing out. I hadn’t planned a perfect score, but over the last 8 weeks I haven’t stopped playing this. Just brilliant.

Chris has already delivered us a fine solo album in 2011 called Rhyme and Reason with Mike Slamer at the production helm. It was very warmly received by fans and critics alike and featured some fantastic songs.

The New CD Dream Machine is an extension of the foundations laid down four years ago: we have huge choruses, great songs and a production second to none. DANGER ZONE Sign to Pride & Joy for New CD 'Closer To Heaven'

PRIDE & JOY MUSIC (Edel/Comeback Media Distribution) is happy to announce the signing of Italian Melodic Rock band DANGER ZONE! The band most recently has completed their third album entitled “Closer To Heaven” and the release date is scheduled for April 15th, 2016.

At this link, you can listen to some excerpts of the album: https://soundcloud.com/germusica/danger-zone-closer-to-heaven-pr-sampler

When guitarist Roberto Priori started the Italian band DANGER ZONE in the early 80s a long hard road lay ahead of them. In 1984 they released the LP “Victim Of Time”.
In the spring of 1988 DANGER ZONE eventually opened up for Heavy Metal legends Saxon in Verona, Italy and following the performance promoter and manager Francesco Sanavio offered DANGER ZONE a production deal which included the plan to break into the US market. Almost a year later in May 1989 the new album "Line Of Fire" began to take shape when executive producer Stephan Galfas (Meat Loaf, Savatage, Stryper, John Waite and Saxon) got involved and his colleagues Jody Gray and Mark Cobrin, both successful with the Japanese Hard Rock outfits Loudness and EZO, took over the production duties.

Due to adverse circumstances the finished album got shelved at first, but as the years went by "Line Of Fire" reached an underground cult status when Rock magazines, fanzines and dedicated fans of the band continuously demanded its release. Finally in 2011 the "Line Of Fire" CD saw the light of day through a German label. The band already got back together in 2010.

In the year 2012, the guys released their follow-up album “Undying” and played several gigs in Italy. To promote this release, the group played several shows in Italy and some Summer Festivals. In March 2014 they released a single and a video of the E.Z.O.'s song "Fire Fire", a tribute to a legendary Japanese band of the 80's, now featuring new bass player Matteo Minghetti. While keeping playing live, the Danger Zone started to work on the compositions for a new album.  The sound now turned out to be more melodic than before so they decided to add Pier Mazzini (Perfect View) and Whitesnake's Michele Luppi on keyboards.

In Summer of 2015 the Italians started the recordings with Roberto Priori and Jody Gray producing at the PriStudio in Bologna; as before the engineering duties were handled by Roberto himself. The whole album has a very positive energy and attitude. Hard Rock and AOR were mixed together and as a result, the band feels even better presented than it was never before. That’s why they decided to call the album "Closer To Heaven", it marks a step towards their own identity and sound. The band is currently rehearsing with the added guitar player Danilo Faggiolino to get ready to bring this new chapter of the band on the road. Stay tuned!

CHICAGO Comment on Hall Of Fame Induction Without Cetera

CHICAGO Official Statement:

"The rock group, Chicago, is honored to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 8 in New York and are looking forward to performing at the event.

The four original band members, Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane, Jimmy Pankow and Walt Parazaider, will be there as well as former original band member Danny Seraphine.

Peter Cetera, despite the best efforts of the Rock Hall and the band to reach a happy middle ground, made his decision not to participate. He has made it clear twice now that he will not attend or perform. Cetera, who was an original band member, has been gone for over 30 years.

Chicago have performed consistently every year heading into their 50th anniversary without ever missing a year.

Says manager Peter Schivarelli, “The band has looked forward to this day since they got word of their induction. They’ve waited a long time and are excited to perform for their fans and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame crowd.”

SHIRAZ LANE Debut 'For Crying Out Loud' Out April 15

Artist:
Friday, April 15, 2016
Categories:
News Feed

Frontiers Music Srl is proud to present the debut album from SHIRAZ LANE, entitled 'For Crying Out Loud', which will be released on April 15, 2016.

Formed in 2011, Shiraz Lane is a young, energetic, ambitious, authentic hard rock group from Vantaa, Finland. Although wearing inspiration from big masters like Aerosmith, SKID ROW and Guns N' Roses on their sleeves, the band has a sound and style all their own. Members of some of the biggest bands in Scandinavia - The 69 Eyes, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, Lordi and Sonic Syndicate among others - have all described Shiraz Lane as being one of the most entertaining bands they have ever seen in the underground music scene, bringing something new to the table in terms of both music and live performance! Notwithstanding their young age (the band members are all in their 20's), the guys are already veterans of the underground circuit in their homeland and have developed a reputation for being uncompromising, loud and genuine.

'We started working on our debut album in mid-August 2015 after receiving confirmation about details and deadlines from Frontiers Music Srl' says guitarist Miki Kalske. 'We were actually extremely busy at the time since we did an extensive Finnish tour in September, so the Shiraz factory was working pretty much around the clock. In retrospect it was good to have a tight agenda, since the songs came out very naturally and with a steady pace. After we felt confident enough with the songs, we joined forces with our producer Ben Varon and analyzed them meticulously, re-arranged parts, rehearsed, re-rehearsed etc. Before hitting the studio to lay down the final tracks.'

On the final result, 'For Crying Out Loud', the band shows they have learned all the tricks in the book and they're now ready to take on the world.

'The album is not conceptual, but it is definitely a tight knitted package so that every song has its own natural place in the running order' continues Kalske. 'All in all the record turned out to be an ass-kicking Hard Rock gem with a large scope of different emotions and feelings included. Variety would be a good key word to describe the album throughout, although bowing down to our own sound and style. An important notion would be to listen to the lyrics and message we are trying to send to the listeners out there ' we don't wan't to preach, but if our music can act as an eye-opener on some level and send positive vibrations out to the world during these darker times, I would say we have done something right!'

Shiraz Lane debuted with a two song single release, "Out There Somewhere" and "Money Talks" in October 2014. The band expanded upon those two tracks to release a five track EP, "Be The Slave Or Be The Change" in the spring of 2015. It was extremely well received by both the public and the press in Scandinavia and the single ''Mental Slavery'' could even be described as an underground hit. Following the EP release, the band has put out four music videos, played the biggest Finnish summer festivals and also performed in places like Toronto, Canada, Finland Fest in Tokyo Japan and Wacken Open Air in Germany. In the autumn of 2015, Shiraz Lane did an extensive national tour supporting fellow countrymen Santa Cruz. Although music is not a matter of competition, it should be mentioned the band won the Hard Rock Rising 2014 and Wacken Metal Battle 2015. The hype culminated with an international record deal with Frontiers Music Srl, which was signed and sealed in September.

'We have grown to fill the boots of the endangered Dinosaurus of Rock and continue the legacy of authentic, rocking and meaningful music' concludes Miki Kalske. 'We are thrilled to let you guys experience a full-length insight in our musical minds and assure that this is going to be the best possible news for the fans out there after a heartsick and grieving turn of the year. Heads up and play this record loud and proud ' we certainly will!'

'For Crying Out Loud' tracklisting includes:

Wake Up
Momma's Boy
House Of Cards
Begging For Mercy
Same Ol' Blues
Mental Slavery
Behind The 8-Ball
For Crying Out Loud
Bleeding
M.L.N.W.
Kill Me (With Your Love) (Bonus track digital version)

SHIRAZ LANE:

Escape Music is Delighted to Announce The Signing Of Female Fronted Band EPIC!

Track Listing: Love Will Find a way / Like a Phoenix / I can take you / Sleepless / All I need / Angels / My Everything / I need you / Save a little love / Nah Nah Nah

Tanya Rizkala: vocals / Mario Agostine: Guitars / Souheil "Sous" Moukaddem: Drums / Mike Ganime: Bass.

Produced by: Mario Agostine
Mixed by: Alessandro Del Vecchio
Mastered by: Chris Jones

Epic is Canadian, American, and Lebanese Rock band.  A power quartet drawing on years of experience and musicianship and playing in international venues and large arenas.

They are well-known for their hard-driving energy with Tanya's powerful vocal range, Mario's melodic guitar-driven riffs, and a "rock-solid" rhythm section with "Sous" on drums and Mike on Bass.  This die-hard rock formation has wasted no time getting to work as soon as they met; they have been writing, composing, and recording their upcoming Album entitled "Like A Phoenix".

Their music can be described like a super hybrid of bands such as the rocky Saraya, Headpins and Witness and also displays finesse a la Heart, and Winger . It’s a long time since we heard a powerful female fronted rock band as good as this quartet and they are already playing to massive audiences..
“Like a Phoenix” is being released soon by Escape Music and we hope you like this “old school” rock band who have brought that classic female fronted rock sound that we all love into the forefront of rock again..

The era would also produce an additional 5 Top 10 singles, "Sara Smile," "One on One," "You Make My Dreams," "Say It Isn't So" and "Method of Modern Love." By 1987, the RIAA recognized Daryl Hall and John Oates as the NUMBER-ONE SELLING DUO in music history, a record they still hold today.

On May 20, 2008, the duo was honored with the Icon Award during BMI's 56th annual Pop Awards. The award has previously gone to the Bee Gees, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Paul Simon, Brian Wilson, Willie Nelson, James Brown, Ray Davies, Carlos Santana and Dolly Parton.

What we have here, is a metal monster! Yes, it’s tailor made for the metal audience, as have been all Primal Fear albums, so it’s a matter of personal taste of course. But if you have been a long time Primal Fear fan, or following Mat Sinner and Ralf Scheepers – then Rulebreaker is a buy or die release.
Contrary to the title, the guys don’t break any metal rule – instead they adhere to them to the letter. Big screaming riffs, big screaming vocals and a high impact rhythm section pounding out the tunes.
What the guys have done here is increase their credibility as one of Europe’s premiere pure metal bands.
And the energy within is hard to contain.
We have 11 tracks – all relatively concise at under 5 minutes and some under 4 – with one 10 minute epic right in the middle.

Highlights include the fast moving opener Angels Of Mercy; the darker chugging metal of The End Is Near and the more melodic Bullets & Tears (great hook); plus the anthemic Rulebreaker; the slow/fast/mid-paced/fast epic We Walk Without Fear and the brain crushing riffage of The Devil In Me.
The big metal ballad The Sky Is Burning is one of the biggest sounding tracks I’ve heard from these guys. Epic.

Everything I expected and have heard from the guys previously – just better. Really strong songs, a huge production and fabulous mix and lots and lots and lots of guitars. Loud guitars.

WILD ROSE '4' Out May 6

Tracklist: 1. Desperate Heart, 2. Love Can Change You, 3. Summer Girl, 4. Time After Time, 5. Love Games, 6. Hot Wired, 7. Save The Night, 8. Broken Hearted, 9. Waiting For You, 10. Don't Let Me Down.

Wild Rose has been rockin' for over a decade. The original idea was sprung in 2004 by Andy Rock. A lot of soul-searching was required initially, as it was essential to find a suitable line up to harness the stylish and polished mellow sound of a quality A.O.R. band. Finally, after two years and several line up changes Wild Rose settled on the line up today, introduced to an unsuspecting public back in 2006, with quality songs composed by Andy Rock.

2007 Wild Rose released their first promo single CD entitled "It's All About Love" which contained the hard hitting title track and "Too Late", tracks that rapidly became accepted and loved by the A.O.R. audience. During the same period Wild Rose were picked up as support on Talisman's Farewell Tour in Hellas.

Wild Rose returned in mid 2009 and recorded a 10 track demo CD with tracks written by Andy Rock and Dirty Haris.
These songs matured through the rehearsal process and ended up in professionally recorded versions on the band’s debut album “Half Past Midnight” which was finally released on 10 October 2011 on the "Retrospect Records" label and received great results in the A.O.R. specialized press. The band also performed two successful live shows in Athens and Thessaloniki to support "Half Past Midnight" and also participated in "Rosewood Festival" and received a great response and applause from the Hellenic audience.

December 2011 and "Half Past Midnight" hits the Best Debut Release / Newcomer of 2011 on Heavy Paradise.

January 2012 and Wild Rose took part at "Brave New Love: A Tribute To Alien" project covering Alien's well known track "Feel My Love".

March 2012 and Wild Rose performed at "Rosewood Festival II" along with bands like Newman, Work Of Art, Konkurent to name a few, taking rave reviews from the music press.

Later on 2012, the band has worked on new songs and recorded their second album “Dangerous” which was released on 22 February 2013 on the "AOR Heaven" label.
Wild Rose “Dangerous” receives rave reviews worldwide from the press and in June 2013 hits No.1 on import sales in Japan (BURRN Magazine).

August 2013 and Wild Rose debut album Half Past Midnight hits SOLD OUT of it's press at "Retrospect Records" label.
"CEO Retrospect Records / Sam McCaslin: I'm very happy to announce that the Wild Rose 'Half Past Midnight ' CD is Officially Sold Out. Congratulations guys for being one of the Top Sellers ever in Retrospect's vast catalog. Great band , great music. Much respect to Andy Rock and crew for a job well done!"

March 2014 and Wild Rose sign with "AOR Blvd Records" and are celebrating their Ten Years Of Existence with the release of their third album "Hit 'N' Run" along with a tour to support it.

October 2014 first single "Through The Night" from the album "Hit 'N' Run" hits #1 on Classic Rock Chart Week #40 and weeks #43- #44- #45 / 2014! (Week #40 as first week appearence on the charts) of Melodic Net (Sweden).

February 2015 and Wild Rose's second album "Dangerous" hits SOLD OUT of it's press at "AOR Heaven Records" label.

March 2015 Wild Rose sign a deal with "Nevermore Production Films LLC" for the track "Too Late" taken from their debut album "Half Past Midnight" to take part as a soundtrack on the upcoming movie "The Barn".

April 2015 George and John Bitzios reunite with the band and Wild Rose release the acoustic version of the track “I Want Your Love” as a single.
In the meanwhile Wild Rose start writing and recording new songs for their upcoming fourth album and also complete their “Hit ‘N’ Run Tour” in October with more than 5 successful shows in Hellas taking the applause of the crowds.

November 2015 and Wild Rose sign with "Lions Pride Music" for it's worldwide release in May 2016; with "Avalon / Marquee Inc." for it's Japanese release and also with "Steel Gallery Records" for an exclusive Hellenic Press release.

Wild Rose - 4” has been recorded at EVO Studios, Evosmos, Hellas except drums recorded at Stone House Studio, Evosmos, Hellas between May 2015 and August 2015.
“4” was mixed by Pelle Saether at Studio Underground, Vasteras, Sweden and mastered by Dan Backman and Produced by Andy Rock and co-Produced by Wild Rose.
December 2015 and the new album was ready and three different front covers were taken care by C.S.M&P Designs for the triple release of it.

"Wild Rose 4"; was critically acclaimed by the press:

"Like a glorious page ripped from the book of ‘Consummate 80s American Melodic Rock’, Wild Rose’s fourth release is a monumental achievement that will have fans of Survivor and Night Ranger begging for more. Simply amazing! Bruce Mee/Fireworks Magazine UK"

"A major step up for Wild Rose in every aspect. Much bigger production, terrific performances and above all else - some truly catchy old school AOR songs that will help these guys gain a lot of new fans. Andrew McNeice/MeloodicRock.com"

DRIVE SHE SAID Put the 'Pedal To The Metal' April 15

Friday, April 15, 2016
Categories:
News Feed

Frontiers Music Srl is excited to present the return of DRIVE, SHE SAID with the release of their highly anticipated new album 'Pedal to the Metal' on April 15th, 2016!

Mark Mangold's (one half of the driving force of Drive, She Said) creative rock flame was ignited once again after a performance with the Firefest version of Touch in Nottingham, UK in 2014. That creative desire and destiny intersected when he got an email from his old friend Serafino from Frontiers. Mangold, a renowned keyboardist, and his creative partner in Drive, She said, the amazing singer/multi-instrumentist Al Fritsch, then started talking with the Frontiers label about releasing new music. This was even more special of an event than a regular signing as Drive, She Said was the first proper artist that was signed to the label back when it started.

Mangold and Fritsch got together and they penned a few sensational classic Melodic Rock / AOR numbers, chock full of marvelous and unforgettable vocal harmonies, as well as looking in the archives for two songs that they hadn't recorded before.

Mangold says: 'We tried to write this record as if we were again in the 80's/90's, with the benefit of time and modern recording techniques. In those days you needed to write a "hit" to get signed and carve out an original sound. This record was a challenge because we did not want to clone ourselves, or the many bands that have now have mastered this genre, or be generic. And yet we wanted to keep the record in that same world as the first D,SS record. And of course, we wanted to make it totally over the top! Ultimately it's about the songs and having fun, and last but never least to try to give the fans, or should I say the esteemed melodic "cult", something to... consider.'

'Pedal to the Metal" is the final result: an absolute gem of a Melodic Rock album, guaranteed to please all fans of the genre. Check out an album trailer here: https://youtu.be/V0aPCTQT_84

DRIVE, SHE SAID is set to appear live at the Frontiers Rock Festival in Trezzo (Milano), Italy on April 23rd, 2016. Those attending are in for a treat!

SHIRAZ LANE Debut 'For Crying Out Loud' Arrives April 15

Artist:
Friday, April 15, 2016
Categories:
News Feed

Frontiers Music Srl is proud to present the debut album from SHIRAZ LANE, entitled “For Crying Out Loud”, which will be released on April 15, 2016.

Members of some of the biggest bands in Scandinavia - The 69 Eyes, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, Lordi and Sonic Syndicate Official among others - have all described Shiraz Lane as being one of the most entertaining bands they have ever seen in the underground music scene, bringing something new to the table in terms of both music and live performance! Notwithstanding their young age (the band members are all in their 20’s), the guys are already veterans of the underground circuit in their homeland and have developed a reputation for being uncompromising, loud and genuine.

“We started working on our debut album in mid-August 2015 after receiving confirmation about details and deadlines from Frontiers Music Srl” says guitarist Miki Kalske. “We were actually extremely busy at the time since we did an extensive Finnish tour in September, so the Shiraz factory was working pretty much around the clock. In retrospect it was good to have a tight agenda, since the songs came out very naturally and with a steady pace. After we felt confident enough with the songs, we joined forces with our producer Ben Varon and analyzed them meticulously, re-arranged parts, rehearsed, re-rehearsed etc. Before hitting the studio to lay down the final tracks.”

On the final result, “For Crying Out Loud”, the band shows they have learned all the tricks in the book and they’re now ready to take on the world.

“The album is not conceptual, but it is definitely a tight knitted package so that every song has its own natural place in the running order” continues Kalske. “All in all the record turned out to be an ass-kicking Hard Rock gem with a large scope of different emotions and feelings included. Variety would be a good key word to describe the album throughout, although bowing down to our own sound and style. An important notion would be to listen to the lyrics and message we are trying to send to the listeners out there – we don't wan't to preach, but if our music can act as an eye-opener on some level and send positive vibrations out to the world during these darker times, I would say we have done something right!”

“We have grown to fill the boots of the endangered Dinosaurus of Rock and continue the legacy of authentic, rocking and meaningful music” concludes Miki Kalske. “We are thrilled to let you guys experience a full-length insight in our musical minds and assure that this is going to be the best possible news for the fans out there after a heartsick and grieving turn of the year. Heads up and play this record loud and proud – we certainly will!”

“For Crying Out Loud” tracklisting includes: Wake Up; Momma's Boy; House Of Cards; Begging For Mercy; Same Ol' Blues; Mental Slavery; Behind The 8-Ball; For Crying Out Loud; Bleeding; M.L.N.W. - Kill Me (With Your Love) (Bonus track digital version)

Dallas, TX - Feb 3, 2016.  North American syndicated Rock radio show and website InTheStudio: The Stories Behind Historys Greatest Rock Bands rolls out the red carpet for the thirty-fifth anniversary of RUSH's most successful album, Moving Pictures.

Sales alone do not convey the importance of their eighth studio album Moving Pictures to Rushs long career, nor to rock music itself. Music was changing, Rush lead singer/composer Geddy Lee tells us in this InTheStudio episode, and without Lee, guitarist/composer Alex Lifeson and drummer/lyricist Neil Peart embracing the fresh musical ideas in the crosswinds of the early Eighties with songs Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, Limelight, Vital Signs and Witch Hunt, it is doubtful that a path to mainstream success would have been cleared for later major bands including Metallica, Queensryche, Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan, Dave Grohls Foo Fighters, Tom Morello with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, and Dream Theater.

InTheStudio host Redbeard speaks to Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart about the significance of Moving Pictures to the Rush legacy.
,
It (Moving Pictures) gave us a kind of acceptance and credibility that none of our previous records had previously done. - Geddy Lee

It was very enjoyable making Moving Pictures. It flowed, everything sounded good. The vibe was good, everybody was in great spirits during the whole process. - Alex Lifeson

Being a trio is something that is special to us and I think its special to our fans too... We are known as a trio. Our reputation has a lot to do with our live show and what the three of us can do live. -  Neil Peart

Here are the voting rules:

After this final voting, the top three bands will play Sweden Rock Festival 2016! Besides these three bands, Sweden Rock choose one of the 25 bands for the "wild card", so in total there will be four winners.

On his name being left off Aerosmith's "A Little South Of Sanity" 18:45 "I was on tour with them for about two years doing live recording and live broadcasts. And recorded a lot of "South Of Insanity", but you won't see my name on the record. You won't see my name on the record for i guess legal reasons. The producer that they hired, they didn't want to pay him and I was part of his team. He was someone that I'd done a bunch of records with - Kevin Elson. And they, for whatever reason, didn't want to pay him or something, you know, legal stuff that I didn't quite understand. But anyway, you won't see my name on that record, but I recorded most of those tracks."

On his early relationship with Eric Martin (Mr. Big) 52:30 "On that record (1989's self-titles debut) we kind of bumped heads a little bit. On the end of (Addicted To That Rush) he says 'One of these days, pow, right in the kisser" - he's talking to me. I just pushed his buttons. Eric and I work together all the time now and we laugh about it."

On the upcoming live Mr. Big DVD 53:08 "We did another live from the Budokan DVD that should be out soon. It's an awesome show - the production is just off the hook. I finished it up last year. It's with Matt Starr playing drums, and Pat was sitting in on a couple of tunes, and singing harmonies. "
